Hi Mr.Avant. I am the daughter of Joe Anderson, who sang in the 60's and 70's with Heidi and Buddha Records. He talks about you all the time, for you made a deep impact on his life. He remembers that you told him "You need to go and live and come back".
He's still singing at the age of 69. Thank you for your impact and influence.

The facts are....He is right to point out what is going on in with technology, the superpowers of the music world have had their time. The true artists will have their time once the fallout of this transition has settled and it becomes clear that it is about music, art, and content. Quality vs quantity, and the oversimplistic quickie mindset where trash music is thrown to the big mafia radio stations is being challenged.

When I saw the movie Searching for Suga Man, I also had came to the same conclusion that you did. But it turns out that they traced the money from his Royalties, and the money went to a company in England and not to Clarance Avant. Sixto Rodruiguez's albums were bootlegged in S. Africa by another company. Clarance Avant is innocent. See this article from the New Yorker Magazine: "Cold Facts", August 3, 2012, by Sasha Frere-Jones.

this guy may not be as great as he sounds ... the Rodriguez story is just a Cold Fact, I'd like to see a video where Clarence Avant honestly explains what happened and where did the money go and why he is innocent ... apparently Sussex fired Rodriguez 2 weeks before Christmas right?
