I actually do believe William recognized Mike when he met him in the office. You can tell because he pauses as he reads his last name, and then leans forward to get a closer look at him. As if trying to see the resemblance to Garrett.

It’s genuinely refreshing to see practical effects being used in a newly released movie. The Jim Henson company absolutely nailed the designs of the animatronics.
The 2nd FNAF movie is gonna be one hell of a challenge production wise considering that there’s over 15 animatronics in the game.😂

I kind of hope they do their own timeline instead of following the games. I'd rather have a sequel to this than a prequel next like in the games. We need to explore Vanessa, Golden Freddy, and the fate of Garret. It would be amazing if they could tell a compelling story that incorporates the backstory over 5 films.

I grew up watching films featuring Jim Henson's work such as DARK CRYSTAL
And I think the workshop has aged like a fine wine
And five nights at Freddy's isn't really a film that called for a bunch of visual effects
And the animatronics they made were much better than I thought they would be

I think the “C O M E F I N D M E” message is definitely Garret as the Puppet. His kidnapping resembles Charlie’s death in the main series in a lot of ways. First, it was most likely Afton’s first kill, as evidenced by Vanessa having Garret’s toy plane in a photo taken at Freddy’s while it was still open, ergo before the missing children’s incident, and is the only crime of William’s we know to have taken place outside of a Fazbear Entertainment building. How the Puppet animatronic would be involved with Garret is unclear, but everything else seems to match perfectly.
(Actually, in the actual event of Garret being taken, the pre possession Puppet actually mirrors Mike- being designated to protect the victim and failing to do so.)

He definitely recognized Mike. He was disrespectful and snarky to him up until he read his name then completely changed his tone. He knew Mike and who he was. as for Garrett, it's likely he's the puppet. The "It's Me" was always therorized to be the crying child trying to get the attention of the security guard who was his older brother Mike. And Garrett seems to be the Puppet which has been hinted out throughout the movie. Puppet was on the blackboard and Come Find me is similar to the Save them in the games. And it is the year 2000 (security camera had the date). Early enough where some poeple have cells but early enough that it wouldn't be strange to not have.

William Afton had a motive for kidnapping Garrett across state lines, it was personal. Mike's mother is Mrs Afton who left William when she was preggo with Mike. They ended up with Henry Schmitt who was William's coworker. The only hint we have of this is the Schmitt family photo where Henry is using rabbit ears on Mike. In the novels it is mentioned that William is insanely jealous of Henry. The enraged William found out the Schmitt's location and traveled to Nebraska to abduct Garrett. 'You took my son so I'm taking yours'. Of course this makes Mike and Vanessa siblings. When Mike asks Vanessa, "Who the hell are you?" she replies, "Just someone who wants to help." This theory would explain a lot.

I really loved that it wasn't jumpsacre filled as to me it forced them to focus more on the story and implications of the crimes to push the fear.
Also I still am not sure if it was intentional, but I noticed in many of the places where lore was changed that it ended up pulling from old fan theories for the games themselves, which I thought was a very clever touch if on purpose.

  • @bloodybee3553
    @bloodybee3553 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

The Balloon Boy is tiny as a reference to one of the Fazbear Frights stories called "Lucky Boy." In case you are unaware, the Fazbear Frights books are a series of 12 books each containing 3 Goosebumps-esk stories. But they can be pretty gory, so I advise caution.
In "Lucky Boy," Balloon Boy is a tiny figurine holding a sign that says "I'm a lucky boy!"
Throughout the story, a man listens to it for advice, telling him to buy a winning lottery ticket that ends up being a winner, leave his hopeless job, leave his girlfriend that he hates, and invest in starting his own business. However, at the end, Lucky Boy encourages him to essentially mutilate himself to make himself "look better" for his high school reunion.

There were so many things in the movie that retconned the games. Like the realistic state the animatronics should be in (not smelling good), the weird creation of a Vanessa/Elizabeth Afton blend, and the habits of the animatronics to put victims into saw-like traps instead of habitually trying to put people into the suits. Hilariously enough I do find this in the spirit of the fnaf franchises confusing storyline. Although I do wish they could have kept Vanessa and Elizabeth seperate because it means Help wanted, Sister Location and Security Breach's stories and lore will be extremely difficult to put into the movie sequels if there is one.

I feel like you kinda HAVE to now - knock out all these animatronic horror movies that came out in the wake of FNAF's success. Besides, after this, it would be nice to see a movie that actually has more kills and violence than Five Nights at Freddys. I think it was a weird choice to keep it so kid-friendly, since - as you point out - it's been a LONG time since FNAF came out and the audience has grown up with it. I think they could handle a few more kills/jumpscares than this movie provides... luckily, it made a ton of money so I'm sure we'll see a movie sequel, and one that hopefully ups the horror.

I thought Willy's wonderland was pretty good since there wasn't a fnaf yet. How was it compared to this?

Oh, this is so funny. Reminds me of a comment that Matt pat left on a video of somebody playing for naff he’s like don’t do this to yourself. Haven’t gone mad yet.

So, one thing I wanted to point out about the "Come find me" is that, while it is in the same voice as the death minigames from FNaF 2, it mirrors a line from a later FNaF game.
There's an ending cutscene from FNaF: Sister Location where Michael Afton is heard speaking to his father- not directly like in person but the same way you might see a movie character speak to their dead mom when they're in a tough spot in their life- explaining that he did what his father told him to do, that he should be dead but isn't, and there's only one thing left for him to do. He says, "I'm going to come find you," several times before Springtrap falls over into the scene.
So, to me, this is likely hinting at the possibility or likelihood of a FNaF 2 movie WHILE ALSO possibly hinting at the plot. Maybe a family member does go to come find him.

"Of course, it's ghost children in the suits. How else could they move the robots?" as if it's the most logical thing in the world. 😂

I wonder if they are going to go deep into the lore and the Purple Man and what they take from the newer FNAF games and lore from those.
