    Thank you Nate for sending me this link. A question: I put some gaffer tape on my hoops to help the hoop grip the fabric. This created another problem by dislodging the link plate shown in this video. I repositioned the plate twice and it does the same thing. What I had to do was trim the gaffer tape so none of it is on the bottom of the hoop that touches the link plate. Have you had others with this same issue? Is there a better solution than having to trim the tape off the bottom of the hoop that touches the link plate? Thank you very much

      I ruined a few things early on with my machine using vet wrap in a similar way. I try hard not to have anything extra on my outer hoops. I instead create a sandwich effect with a ring of thicker cutaway that I hoop on top of my material. I have a hole cut in the top piece of backing. I sew through fabric and one piece of backing, but where the hoop is, there is extra backing. I'll try to remember if I've done this in a video. - NM
