Somehow, I feel like this is weirdly the greatest insight we've gotten into how this game will actually play. I am even more sold than ever.
If ships gonna break from the slightest hit , like here there is probably gonna be a standard template ship built from the least amount of resources , time
and is gonna look like the starter ships in SP that are made with least amount of effort to get shit done.A bare resamblence to an actual ship , but a flying cube with thrusters a cockpit and a mining/building/hauling/ module.
SATAMOTO yea they should come out with energy shielding to prevent small bumps and a projectiles to a certain degree.
@@HaloDude557 idk about that , but if they leave ships this fragile , no one is gonna invest time and effort in building a fancy looking construct when hole shit breaks in half when it collides with a fly.

Most companies would never show the public stuff like this cause they fear their professional look will be tarnished. Honestly I consider this the best a company can do. You bond alot more with your fans by showing your silly side.

Yeah that's what I'm worried about. Every 5 minutes your ship shatters and you spend all your time trying to build it back instead of being able to explore.

this is actually more exciting than the real trailer. all these boops and bops means players will fuck up all the time and have to improvise in the heat of the moment 😂

Never heard of this game or anything. Noticed this in the youtube up next vids. Wow definitely do more blooper videos this was massively amusing. Added the game to my steam wishlist and shared with some friends as well. =D

I hope minerals are easy to get enough of with how easy these ships go into legos mode lol. Then again I am assuming all hubs will be littered with wreckage constantly.
Damage settings are really low. They're not going to be tissue paper considering how complex everything is

Then you haven't watched enough Laststandgamer. Arron has on multiple occasions had the area of the ship the seat he was in get destroyed and then the seat falls out of the ship with the chair perfectly intact.

JoelFB (5/28/19): Text chat exists currently. Voice chat we could probably implement if there's enough demand (we kinda think people use e.g. Discord and others nowadays more than ingame).
@@royalrampage4643 yep, but the random encounters would really be cooler with voicechat. I would say make it on a very small scale, so that only people that are very close to you can hear you (1 or 2 guys)

The blooper reel makes for better promotional material than the actual trailer, oddly enough.

However, I can tell you right now you need to at least double the health points on all your components and dramatically turndown collision damage lol

I'd love to see a stress test to see how multiplayer is going to be. As fun as Space Engineers is, the MP is awful on their servers.

I thought ship ramming would be a big issue but seeing as they fall apart so easy, it makes a lot more sense to take care of your toys.
They amp up the damage for the trailer to look cool.

what would be pretty neat is if the cables actually held onto disconnected grids like loose control seats but broke after certain tension, so you could slowly drag the seat along by a thread

One thing I noticed in the video is that when he was just touching part of the beam then accelerated his craff just disintegrated even though it was already againsed the wall. At 1:33 after he hit it he keep accelerating into the wall and for some reason it was like the wall was eating it. Example (If you put a car againsed a wall than accelerated your car would not disintegrate.) Ya might want to fix this just letting ya know frozenbytegames

I think the destruction would be so much cooler if there wasnt that delay between the ship hitting something and it breaking apart
