True finishing elementary school in Houston's ward; I later saw the same level of activity while hanging with APD (officers driving while lit damaging property) and while attending law school. When you come from our hoods it's harder to "make it" but if you persevere nothing or no one can stop you.

Big difference between there and Houston would likely be the weather. Houston’s weather is a sharp contrast to Michigan in the winter time. Christmas 2021 the high had reached the low to mid 80s here.
Also a lot of people from Louisiana had came to Houston. People from Mexico as well of course. We respect everyone. Houston is a great city. Texas itself is a great state. They were very common back in the day. Many were produced for rental car fleets as well. It's unsurprising a few survivors made it to the hood along with what seems to be every Buick Regal ever built.
