Yes!!! Every Tool/APC fan should be aware of Ernesto. His Right in Two and Pneuma covers are crazy good. Also he does live concert streams on here every Sunday 4-6pm est. The first hour is usually originals and some SOAD. Then he changes tuning and does Tool/APC for the second hour. Can't recommend enough.
Heard this a couple of years ago. This is right up there in terms of cover versions of any song. Covering someone's song and coming up with something that is as good as the original is incredibly difficult. Doing that with a Tool song is just.... Wow.
This is my favorite TOOL cover.... One of my favorite songs, too. The littoral nature of the lyrics is kind of a testament to the fact that TOOL didn't want to use complicated metaphors to get their point across. Anyone can read or listen to these lyrics and be moved instantly.
first and foremost......this is the greatest piece of engineering, on a rooftop in India...listen to how crisp the mix is...even with dogs barking in the background....most disappointing though is that they couldn't find a tabla player in India??? It's your instrument!!!! Love this version though!!!

reminds me of Jimi Hendrix (All Along The Watchtower), Richie Havens (Here Comes The Sun) or Iz Kamakawiwoʻole (Somewhere Over The Rainbow / What a Wonderful World) doing a cover of other someone else's song and playing the music in a different style / different instrument and making what once were PERFECT songs but somehow making the songs their own and even better
Great rendition of the song have seen it many times before . Check out a busker from Australia that does a solo version of lateralus . Has no lyrics , but basically played very instrument just on an acoustic guitar . Freaking awesome . Can't remember his name has been a while since I seen it . I'm guessing if you search lateralus accustic busker Australia. I'm sure you'll find it so worth it .

A) Generally, I don't like covers. Borderline hate. Like 95% of them. The originals just destroy the cover attempts.
B) Right in Two, to me, is the best song from Tool. Not my personal favorite, but their best.
So I clicked that cover video a while ago, anticipating a total mess, mouse pointer on the thumb down icon.
Those guys are fantastic. I miss the mid song percussion part, but it's still great from start to finish. Judging by your reaction, you had the same feelings I had back then. Very happy to revisit that cover with you today.

Sober by Frog leap studios. He usually takes pop/country/rap songs and does metal cover. For metal songs he'll make them acoustic. Tool sober he had an awesome cover. He also does a few Slipknot covers that are just awesome. Leo is a bit silly in his videos but his work is awesome.

A new recommendation for you would be listening to "the witness" Gibson Collab of Adam Jones. It's an instrumental song that will hype you up from all the amazing guitar work and other instrumental surprises.

Got a feeling that you should check out Felix Culpa by Kings Kaleidoscope. I'd call it religious music done right. Stumbled on it some years ago and just plain enjoyed it despite it clearly being a "christian song" which usually just means a cringey half-assed love song to Jesus lol. This is lyrically more honest and musically more skilled than I've heard from most religion focused music.
