Especially when DEI helps others from those aging the workplace, neurodivergent advocacy because most ppl don’t to think to champion for ppl whose disabilities are not seen on the surface, accessibility efforts to help those who have disabilities from visual to hearing, and this goes across and benefits all racial identities. Stop falling for the fallacies and biases that enable you to only see things from one vantage point. The gag for me is, if things were equitable, there wouldn’t be a need for these efforts. Seeing the humanity in everyone, would take us so much farther than the tribalism and division we see today. The continuous propaganda we see on social media only divides us. It doesn’t solve anything. Have a safe and pleasant Thanksgiving
You right!! I guarantee they gave millions to DT, it shows. Walmart has made all its money off of DEI communities. But one side has done a great job of marketing DEI as ‘Black’, leaving out special needs, etc. Aldi and Target it is for me!!
I'm an autistic woman with hearing loss, so I fit into your definition of "diverse". You are not considering context. This isn't about who they hire, it's about contracting with suppliers. They're not going to stop hiring diverse people. With Trump's new tariffs on the horizon, they're going to need all the flexibility they can get to choose the lowest cost American-made goods. I'm sure they'll still import a lot, but they're definitely going to take a hit. Overseas companies are going to pass the cost of tariffs on to American suppliers and stores like Walmart, who will pass the costs on to American consumers. Many of Walmart's customers are low income, or at least many low income people shop at Walmart because their dollars go further there. If they're able to save money, it's going to help low income consumers. If they have to keep buying more expensive American made goods from black-owned or female-owned suppliers, it's going to hurt low-income consumers, many of whom are "diverse" according to your definition. I'd prefer they do everything they can to help the low-income diverse Americans versus a handful of high-income diverse Americans.
Exactly ! And I think people automatically think black . But diversity includes race , age , sex , religion . Each one of these categories have groups that are purposefully marginalized and oppressed. So it needs to be purposely changed because a lot of damage has already been done
@@kayh301they think black bc republicans have for years shoved it down the throats as if it’s only about black people and the powers that be only challenged it when it’s a direct question but they should have challenged it every time they said it as fact. A lie by omission is still a lie.

I see everyone saying they will shop at Target or Dollar Store, etc. instead. You’ve completely missed the point. How do you know that all of those other businesses have been diverse, have valued equity and inclusion. You don’t. The best thing you can do is to take your money to small businesses and stop using corporate middlemen. If you want to make things truly inclusive then seek out these smaller businesses and frequent them.
@@newtonmediavirtualassistan193You CAN know what companies are doing. Research. They aren’t perfect, it’s corporate. You can be informed of their practices though. Shopping with small businesses isn’t something that poor working families are able to do. People in areas where there aren’t any is a thing. Small businesses can’t offer competitive prices. It’s a nice thought, but we need to be practical as well.
At the corporate level White women were the greatest benefactors of DEI efforts. It's unfortunate that this fact is often omitted in the conversation and minorities are made the face of DEI.

They just don’t want blacks shopping there and that’s ok….. we blacks need to shop other places I’ve been saying that for years …. Why do black Americans feel the need to beg suppliers or companies to take their money??
For some it’s not so easy to boycott because they are in rural areas and only have a Walmart, but here are some ways that you can still hurt their bottom line: When you shop there only buy your basics, don’t buy clothing, Home Goods, or electronics that they make larger profits on. Also don’t buy the Walmart brands such as great value, equate, mainstays, Sam’s choice, better homes & gardens and others. These are lower price brands, but since they are actually made by Walmart they make more money on them. All of us can contribute and vote with our dollars in some way.
Also, they should try to shop at Aldis if they have one in the rural areas. I'm in a small rural town in SC where they only have Walmart and Aldis as affordable places for groceries. Now switching to Aldi, and when we move to Texas next year and wherever I go in the future I'll never shop at Walmart ever again.
This is just the beginning. It’s happening rapidly in workplaces, universities finding reasons to deny acceptance or prevent students from completing their degrees (this happened to me personally). Meanwhile, some businesses are quietly choosing who they want as customers. Stay tuned.
@tr2404 So true, this was already occurring well over a year ago. It was "popular" for major corporations to adopt the "DEI" culture years ago when you had all the police shootings and BLM movement. Fake! Companies running ads saying "we're all in this together", putting black people on their company page. I've worked in corporate for decades and the people at the very top are not black! This was nothing more than a facade and now that it's faded out they don't have to hire minorities at all.
It’s time for the Montgomery Bus Boycott all over again for EVERY company listed. There are cell phones, social media and apps now. This can be done! Plus a GRAND opportunity for businesses to be CREATED by these minority groups.
yes, time to rebuild the community unless they make you count jellybeans to get a loan. pool some resources and start your own thing. get creative with financing to rebuild locally,
This isn’t hard my fellow countrymen and women. The one thing that has the biggest voice in this country is the money in your bank account. If you appreciate what Wal-Mart & other companies are doing regarding DEI, do shop there. If the companies that partner w/ Wal-Mart that don’t appreciate what they are doing should pull their product and exclusively partner w/ their direct competitors. LET YOUR WALLET DO THE TALKING!
I worked at the corporate level and saw this DEI refusal real time. There was a McKinsey & Company study shown to us that showed how much work was needed by Walmart to get AA employees from the field level into the corporate level. Then came the BLM movement, and like other corporations it was embraced, but most of us knew it was just a facade and a matter of time before they reneged on the DEI cause.
nail on head.! they never wanted it they felt forced and that was why is so easy to walk away from it. its easy to walk away if you are not committed and that goes for anything in life.
I haven't shopped at Walmart for years because i hate their business practices. They keep most of their employees part-time, uninsured or under-insured and dependent on social services. Their CEO's decision have just reinforced my feelings. I know Trump being elected has everything to do with his decision. I had been a supporter of Lowe's and avoided Home Depot because of their huge Republican donations but now Lowe's is off my list. I will shop at my local independent hardware store, exclusively.
I do most of my shopping online at other stores. Walmart is used for last-minute items that I dont have at home. Now, HEB or the Dollar Store are my go-to stores.
Timing is everything and the timing on this says alot! I have only seen minority workers in my local Walmart and surprisingly the minority is not black. Hopefully this is seen as not just a black issue but an overall diversity issue.
Don’t worry about speaking to them, let them keep right on with there removal of services that benefits majority of their customers and employees and they’ll have less of both.
@@bcoxal and as it should be sued for not hiring those that are qualified over those that are not. it is sad that we ever needed it in the first place. it's a damn shame that we as a country ever let it come to this in the first place. learning to respect everyone based on humanity not color or gender would have saved us the trouble. but nooooo, that's way too easy. we love conflict!
Walmart already has higher prices in urban areas because it assumes this is a high risk area. This means if you live in an urban area Walmart has predetermined you to be a shoplifter. I used to do product promotions and noticed prices were higher in some area stores than others.
I think people get DEI mixed up with Equal Employment. Does anyone remember the commercials women and minorites encouraged to apply? They need to stop asking race, sex, and gender questions on spplications. That is different than DEI.

I shopped at Target today and am no longer a Walmart customer.
It’s time for us to scale back on how and where we spend our money! Walmart is off my list!!
I Don't shop Walmart and I urge others to shop elsewhere!
I hate ppl have polarized and politicized DEI by making it all about race.
Exactly! You have a safe, enjoyable holiday.
Walmart has competition, they gotta be careful cause Aldi's out there giving out $5 coupons lol
You right!! I guarantee they gave millions to DT, it shows. Walmart has made all its money off of DEI communities. But one side has done a great job of marketing DEI as ‘Black’, leaving out special needs, etc. Aldi and Target it is for me!!
True.
Mark Walmart off of my list!!! They're expensive anyways
Bye
THEY DO NOT HAVE WALMARTS IN AFRICA. MOVE THERE IF YOU HATE IT HERE.
Walmart largely contributed to the Trump campaign. I’ll find another place to shop no problem.
That's Walmart's loss. Diverse companies do better financially and perform better. Walmart will do worse , and their stock price will go down.

I'm glad that I won't run into you there. Thanks!
@cc8751 me too
Walmart about to lose alot of customers.
Probably not
The National Urban League and NAACP, should of did something when DEI went to court
I have stopped shopping at Walmart and plan to discontinue my prescriptions.
It is my money. I also have a choice to spend my money where I am respected.
Yes!
The problem is monopolies. They own everything.
But, you still have to give them the chance to mess up?! Don't you? I wouldn't shop at Target due to it's occult logo, but still...
At the corporate level White women were the greatest benefactors of DEI efforts. It's unfortunate that this fact is often omitted in the conversation and minorities are made the face of DEI.

NOT SHOPPING AT LOWES EITHER
What did Lowe's do?!
Walmarts is a monopoly that needs disolved.

That’s really the bottom line. So they’re a monopoly that are using their power to squash any chance of inclusion for minorities. It’s over.
They won’t get another dime from me. I’ll drive that extra mile to Target.
Another reason to never shop at Walmart.
This is discrimination
For some it’s not so easy to boycott because they are in rural areas and only have a Walmart, but here are some ways that you can still hurt their bottom line:
When you shop there only buy your basics, don’t buy clothing, Home Goods, or electronics that they make larger profits on.
Good point. Thank you
This is ridiculous. Money talks and I'm done shopping at Walmart.
I am not shopping for any store who does this!
😂 Well then be ready to shop nowhere then
@@cc8751 Wrong, she can order online if he wants and there are other stores that has DEI policies. She just have to look.
Forget Walmart
Plus a GRAND opportunity for businesses to be CREATED by these minority groups.
yes, time to rebuild the community unless they make you count jellybeans to get a loan. pool some resources and start your own thing. get creative with financing to rebuild locally,
I feel like I’m going to spend my money elsewhere!!! Thank you!!!
Sure 😂
We can save and start opening up our own stores. Let’s stick together.
I know where not to shop…
Right
Boycott them. Support others. Leave walmart alone
We as black people must put money into our own businesses.
These companies were never really vested.
nail on head.! they never wanted it they felt forced and that was why is so easy to walk away from it. its easy to walk away if you are not committed and that goes for anything in life.
This middle aged white lady is done with Walmart and Sams! They are going to lose tens of thousands of dollars from us.
Welcome to project2025
What stage of grief are you in? Is this the project 2025 stage?
playing GTA V online right now
I haven't shopped at Walmart for years because i hate their business practices.
Nobody cares where you shop.
@cc8751 Then why are you replying and reading my comment?
If they're not for everybody then everybody should be against them. Shop elsewhere.
You want all people to feel welcome, but you are not considering giving contract suppliers to minority entrepreneurs!
I am shopping elsewhere. I am not a fan of Wal-Mart!
Timing is everything and the timing on this says alot! I have only seen minority workers in my local Walmart and surprisingly the minority is not black. Hopefully this is seen as not just a black issue but an overall diversity issue.
Guess I won't be shopping at Walmart lol Walmart folded like a cheap suit
I just hope people who understand the real reason behind this stop shopping there

Walmart has been terrible. Definitely won’t go there now.
Don’t worry about speaking to them, let them keep right on with there removal of services that benefits majority of their customers and employees and they’ll have less of both.
Please drop the list. Won’t be shopping at Walmart, Lowe’s Amazon and who ever is on that list. Take my money where I’m welcome and appreciated.
Walmart has been grimy for a long time. It’s time to let them know what we’ve all known for a long time. Let them feel it financially.
The idea of throwing 20 years away shows you where we are.
theyre gonna get sued into oblivion thats whats gonna happen
Walmart will get sued for discrimination against anyone, which is why DEI must go. DEI encourages discrimination.
This was great information. Thank you. Love the comments posted.
I think people get DEI mixed up with Equal Employment. Does anyone remember the commercials women and minorites encouraged to apply? They need to stop asking race, sex, and gender questions on spplications. That is different than DEI.
right - another system to keep track of who's winning. stop doing the census too if none this matters. just give the same money to everyone and call it a day oh but that would be fair right?
DEI was made to break up “the old boys club” that prevented well qualified individuals to be hired and not Jimmy’s son just because he’s Jimmy’s son
And my money doesn't belong at Wally-World (Walmart).
I shop at Meijer. They have better quality of fresh meats and produce. The employees are treated very well and the is not a high turnover of staff. They even offer a continuing education program. Everyone is kind and friendly. AND there’s usually at least 6 cashiers. It is more expensive, however, it is worth the price.
