Note from a Brit: there are two types of drink. The energy drink and hydration drink! In the UK, you need to be 16+ to buy an energy drink. It’s the hydration drink that they are going mad for.
I do appreciate that KSI is telling fans not to pay outrageous prices for the drinks. Regardless of reason, it's better that he tries to warn his fanbase than let them be exploited in that way
I work in an Aldi in the UK, we had very limited stock, one day only, gone in under 5 minutes and mostly bought by parents. There was one horrific moment, about an hour after the last bottle had gone. a mother and son (he was 15) came in and asked if we had Prime, we said sorry but it had all gone, and the son said, "told you, stupid bitch, we should have been here at six" mother said "sorry sweety" (WTF)

So I’m a science teacher in a UK secondary school, it’s been absolutely insane how this thing has taken off. It might have started off as fandom or scarcity, but in my school the boys carry around these bottles like status symbols. The news reports how hard they are to come by, and I think that many boys are bringing in the same bottle each day. They are also trading amongst themselves to get all the colours, I’m pretty sure some of the boys are selling them at school. It didn’t bother me much until I saw the energy drinks. Caffeine and taurine are not a good combination for developing brains and there is no way to know how much they’ve consumed or if their parents know they are drinking a product they are legally too young to purchase. Bit wild how it has taken off, still don’t understand the hype but I can totally understand the kids don’t want to be left out of the latest trend.
…. Is there a drinking age for energy drinks in the uk??? I remember (US) being in 5th grade and my best friend drank a Monster pretty much every day. Yikes!
@@rVnsunshine I’m not sure if it’s actually in place yet but the Government have said for years they will ban the sale of energy drinks to kids under the age of 16. Many larger supermarkets and stores have already voluntarily stopped selling them to under 16’s. There was a consultation in 2018 and they were even considering stopping energy drinks from being sold in vending machines as children would be able to purchase them.

i’m just making a guess here but, it might be due to location specific advertising. be it physical ads or online ads, they’re almost always specific to the viewers location. it’d make sense for them to highlight a different creator in marketing campaigns depending on the country.
@@nobetawedielikemysanity which is maybe a bit better. But still says something. I work now with people aged 23-48. We always at least hear something at one age limit or another. If no one at schools care, explains why all gens at work don't know about it (except maybe those always online)
@@bluz1864 I'm confused what your question is? If no one at school cares about it -atleast enough that they wouldn't buy it overpriced- then how are young adults supposed to know about about it if it doesn't make headlines
Also a note, I didn't see you mention it. In the UK you have to be 16+ to buy energy drink. I am 28 and still get ID'd for it. So I'm concerned about HOW kids are buying it
Some supermarket managers do not care about Id'ing people. Even with my mask on in Covid my local supermarket staff would not ask for ID. I'm not even that tall, so could've definitely been a kid.
My Tesco self scan flags single monster cans but not the multipacks 🎉 (haven’t been a teenager for a decade. I just don’t want the awkward wait) Or the tiny bottles of rum they had at Christmas. But the independents just do not seem to care.
Some parents are buying for their kids I'd guess. Edit: I've also heard that children get their hands on it by buying it off high schoolers (10-12th graders), who are apparently buying it from stores and scalping it to younger kids for like $10 a can
In the UK: there seems to be quite limited availability in terms of amount and locations and it really seems to be kids and teens pressuring parents to get hold of it from what I've seen.
Between constant austerity, Brexit, a cost of living crisis, a tanked pound, continual industry strikes and 13 years of the Conservative government, it's safe to say the country has collectively lost its mind. In a country that's growing more insane, this hysteria over Prime seems to make perfect sense.
I'm a Brit living in Spain and haven't seen the drink over here but I know there were people fighting in shops over the drink. My mum has never heard of it when I asked her but people from home said they have gone ham in terms of marketing it. We even have a footballer's wife hosting a Prime themed birthday party for their child which blows my mind. Especially considering the child is only 5 so shouldn't really even know about it... It's been in a lot of tabloids as well which has only driven demand and now a bargain superstore is claiming to stock their own dupe. Mental!
I think some of the UK "hype" has likely also been caused by supply chain issues post-Brexit. It has affected production/importing/exporting of the majority of products regardless of industry here
Oh man, I was thinking about whether KSI is considered generally decent in the uk, I hadn't considered how the politics in the uk would affect things too
i'm in scotland and honestly the posts of people hunting for this stuff desperately bc it's what their kids wanted for christmas?? and people posting on behalf of their kids that the kid is selling it for a big markup? it's wild over here, send help
It’s so interesting, I had just watched a little mini documentary about how fervent people were about this drink over in the UK…paying hundreds of dollars for a single bottle. Traveling cross country to get it. And so I went to my local grocery store to get some food and there’s just pallets of prime stacked up and I was like wait what?
It's illegal for prime energy drinks to be sold here in Australia, simply because of the insane amount of caffeine in them. The legal max amount of caffeine allowed in drinks in Australia is 32mg per 100ml, a can of Coke has 9mg per 100ml, a can of Red Bull has 32mg per 100ml, while Prime has 56mg per 100ml. If a drink is literally illegal in a country then maybe one should reconsider whether or not it's safe for the general public to be consuming it as though it were any other energy drink.
The UK has a lot more restrictions on what can be in food and drinks than the US, I wonder if they had to tweak the formula for the UK and that’s why there’s a shortage🤔 A lot of pop (soda) is entirely different in the UK than the US because of banned ingredients in the American formula.
From the UK. Can confirm prime is very difficult to get anywhere. I believe the only official retailers are ASDA and Aldi. Only ever seen prime at Asda a hand full of times and it sold out very quickly. They once brought out an entire pallet of the stuff and it was gone in about 20 minutes.
KSI has a huge following here in the UK and like you say, people are way more passionate and loyal to creators here. Also, Prime is a status symbol now in UK secondary schools, so young boys especially will die for them. It's like a Gucci purse.
I don't know if this has already been suggested, but check the can if you're wondering where they're manufactured. There should be information in small print about it.
so my mom works at a beverage packing facility and she brings a few drinks home like twice a week. they started distributing the prime hydration ones last week and they were kinda good. the lemon lime and ice pop ones had me hooked on it for a bit. until today, i had no idea that ksi and logan paul were involved in it.
I'm really curious how long this is gonna last. There's a ton of hype now, but I think a product has to be good and priced appropriately to really last. Influncers tend to "move on" from projects fast, I just don't see them sticking with promoting it.
Maybe Logan will move on quickly from the project but i doubt ksi will, he and the sidemen are huge on Europe all their projects or side projects are well received and tend to be long lasting, at least in comparison with the ones from lots of creators from the USA (that tend to act like you said) let's see how well they would do or if xD
Judging by Amanda's reactions to the drinks here, at least the 1st part is covered. The insane price gouging (at least in the UK) is a Neddy -No No though. I havent seen any of these in the wild where I live though, but I'm east coast so maybe that's why 0.0
It's literally a perishable good that inherently degrades in value over time. It will end up like the various other trend based foods and drinks that had a big brand behind them, this will just be the next LOL and fail.

Hey Amanda! Love the video. One bit of info I found in my research is that Prime is co-created with Congo Brands, out of Kentucky. They have a huge distribution center there as well, so that would explain why the US has no issue with keeping it on the shelves. I don't know if they have any international distribution centers, but if they are shipping from KY, then yeah, that would cause the issues in the UK that they have been seeing.
The term A-list is weird outside of film. In film, it means masses of people will queue to see a film simply because a particular person is in it, pretty much regardless of genre or any other consideration.
@@ltlbuddha I would usually agree, but I think it applies to this situation. People are really only buying these because of KSI’s popularity, just like how people will only buy a movie ticket for a movie because their favorite celeb is in it.

I was in one of my local corner shops and the staff were laughing at the price of Prime. They were suggestion similar drinks are available from our equivalent of dollar stores.
Okay, so I run a gas station/convenience store in suburban western PA, and when we got these drinks, we sold out of them in under 4 hours. I actually had to look up the brand cuz I am so out of the loop with teenage influencer stuff and totally understood when I found out it was Logan Paul/KSI. Amazed to hear there was stuff on the shelves cuz we got a restock last night and it was gone overnight before the morning even hit.
British person here who grew up in Romford, first of all wild to hear it be mentioned, that area is like the new Jersey of Britain, if that makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if the stock issue wasn't a little bit due to Brexit, because shops are having supply issues with just about everything since we left the EU. Also it really sucks that parents are getting them for their kids (can't buy an energy drink til you're 16 here) legally you aren't meant to sell at the checkout if you believe it's being brought for someone underage, like with alcohol, but it's super hard to enforce
To me tropical punch always has a distinctive pineapple/berry flavor. Tends to lean heavy on the pineapple side and tastes like it needs to be slightly diluted. Haven’t tried this drink, just a general taste profile I’ve noticed.
I work at a global ecommerce site (the one that's pretty synonymous with secondary market sales), and let me just say that we're seeing a lot of cases lately about the insane markup on everything in the Prime line, particularly being sold to UK and Australian consumers. Thing is, that's where the market comparison puts things so all I can do is shrug and note that it's absolutely nuts to pay that for a can of caffeine (or a packet of knock-off gatorade/liquid IV), but that doesn't automatically make it fraud. TBH I feel the same way about sneakerheads who buy the empty boxes for specific Jordan releases, so really it's just not a thing that is For Me.
It's definitely a clout thing here in the UK, like trainers (sneakers) culture. It's kids who want to look cool at school, it plays into a certain aspect of modern British culture, but it doesn't sound like the creators factored this into their branding upon release.
As a German, who grew up with Aldi: them having no stock left shortly after opening has to be expected. If it’s something new or some of the promotional items of that specific weekday, they normally run out of it quickly. My dad used to queue for children’s clothes when we were young and I did queue a few times for shoes, chairs, etc. So that part of the prime-hype sounds believable to me 😂
My mom works at Target in the Philly suburbs and has told me about her store selling out of all the Prime drinks all the time. Might partly have to do with Philly having a sugar tax and we don’t, but are pretty close.
You have to remember that brexit took a big chunk out of exported goods in the uk, it immediately complicated the rights of lorries and crate shipments crossing borders. It might of been a marketing ploy regardless, in order to drum up hype as the original retail price here wasn't that outrageous but still a bit on the higher end of drinks in that category, cos it certainly increased sales and I wouldn't think with all that's in it it's all that expensive to manufacture
in irish aldis they have limited offerings of products sometimes, like say they’ll have a local jam stocked and when it’s sold out they don’t restock it, that type of thing. so it might be that?
The regulations in the UK for ingredients are very regulated. Most ingredients that we have in our food in the US are banned in Europe and Uk so maybe that’s why it’s taking longer to supply there
My cousins fiancé is from the UK and he said on his few last days working in a nursing home one of the elderly gents living there said when his grandson came to visit all he talked about was KSI and Prime 🤦🏼♀️
I live in south west England with family from south east England and have some thoughts. Firstly, the demographic of their audiences are 8-14 year old boys. As someone with 6 cousins in this age range and judging by what they've said, a lot of parents don't really think about youtubers and what kind of influence they have. Then there is a strong culture of "lets go hang out somewhere wearing our expensive sports brand clothes on our scooters/ bikes and drinking energy drink" in that age range as its considered very cool, and then also it is illegal to sell energy drinks to under 16's which is of course their demographic, which I think adds an element of coolness to the kids. I personally haven't heard of the hype behind this drink at all. However I noticed when my local petrol station swapped out half their monster shelf with prime and included it in their £3 meal deal so it doesn't seem to be that big in my corner of England?
Amanda!! I know this is off-topic but I am OBSESSED with your eyeshadow - it's so sparkly but subtle -- can you share what you're wearing? I'm a non-makeup person trying to get more into makeup and I love this look so much.
There is a palet of prime at my Walmart, it's been there for a few weeks, as far as I can tell, it is not shrinking, but I haven't been paying much attention
My mom is a TA and just told me her class were obsessed with these drinks, and i thought "Hey I bet Swell should make a video on this!" Guess I was more out of the loop than I thought.
Being from the borough of Havering (1. It feels beyond insane listening to Amanda talk about Romford and Hornchurch) I've seen the kids in school uniform queuing for them and whatnot, and also where the recency-hype has died down but not necessarily the overall craze, some shops still have them on shelves and they're selling for £5+ a bottle (don't know if the UK has cans, maybe but not that I've seen) and it's beyond confusing, even ignoring the fact that they're selling to school children who should not be drinking those levels of caffeine (or selling onto other kids in the playground who should also not be drinking that much caffeine!)
From what I know it's similar in Australia, however although it's not actually in the stores (yet), fellas all around me are hyping it up so much it's gotten tiring(my mate who works at our woolies says they're gonna be in stock on the 22nd)
Ngl, as an early gen Z American, from what I’ve been hearing about Prime in the UK, it reminds me of that one episode of Victorious where they all go crazy buying ice cream to try to get the letters to spell out “KE$HA” so they can win either a meet and greet or a concert. I don’t remember exactly what it was, I just got home from my uni for the long weekend, brain poopoo.
There's a sign on the door of my local Sainsbury's that reads in BIGGGG block letters, "WE DO NOT SELL PRIME IN THIS STORE"... Environmental storytelling at its finest
first time i heard of Prime was through them becoming the official drinks sponsor for the football/soccer club KSI supports (Arsenal) since i support them too. the logo has a spot in the stadium and is printed on the side of the players water bottles, as well as the Prime Hydration drinks bottles being sold at the concessions stands in the stadium. a lot of drinks are served open cups which aren’t allowed to be taken pitch side, so if you want to take a drink to your seat with you your options are essentially water or Prime. not sure if there’s huge demand for it on matchday when the men’s team are playing, i’ve only been to the stadium to watch the women’s team play since they sponsored the club but i haven’t had a problem getting it in 5 trips there
I'm guessing the shortage is due to the UK import tax. International product with caffeine have to pay extra tax to import. I'm assuming rather than paying the big import tax on a appropriate amount of product (that could have flopped) they went for a smaller initial amount, and because the frenzy works in their favour there keeping the quantity smaller as it's cheaper
being named logan, disliking logan paul for being a shithead, and half-listening to this video and suddenly hearing "you can try to sue me logan", was certainly an experience 🤣
from the UK this massively confuses me, I've only even kind of heard of it online. I have not seen a single advertisement for this thing, no TV no radio, no billboards or even an advertisement on a bin, not even any social media advertisement. Maybe its not even over here I don't shop at asda but like... what?
I don't know if it was actually here or not but I saw a video of people rushing for bottles of prime "in Ireland" and boy do I hope that's not the case because I live here and that makes me sad.
I just got home from grocery shopping where I overlooked Prime completely in favor of Gatorade. I had no idea what Prime was or that Logan was involved in it.
The EU, and probably the UK, have much stricter food regulations than the US which could cause a delay in distribution if the drink has been produced in, and imported from, the US. (Google EU vs US Fanta for a visual comparison.)
That pulsing behind the eyes is likely an eyeache not a headache It's usually caused by eyestrain which the mixture of screen staring and stimulants can definitely cause If you close your eyes and apply gentle pressure around the center you'll probably feel the ache condense closer or even in the eye if it is an eyeache They suck and the only ways I know of to get rid of them are resting them (sleep/distance looking/keeping them closed for literal hours/eating&hydrating/...and yea that's literally it) You should probably have like a medic or something or at least a friend or family member with you if you're gonna consume large amounts of any drug especially the ones people don't really think of as a big deal like caffeine Good vid though
Hey, 200mg/per 355ml is an INSANE amount of caffeine. If I am not mistaking in Canada a drink with that amount of caffeine is not legal to be sold on the territory, because we have laws who cap the maximum amount to 400mg/L wich mean 200mg/500ml . Also if anybody want clear and concise information about caffeine and it's effect I recommend the Food theory on the caffeinate lemonade
My 11 year old cousins cued outside aldi just before Christmas, I’ve only ever seen one bottle of prime irl before The demand is due to resale opportunities (older people are getting it for that particular purpose), ksi, the drinks brand (aka kids flexing it) and it’s seen as a almost designer item~ the cans you drunk in the video have been selling for £50-75 each actively
The only thing I want out of this is for one UK school kid to make a purse out of Prime cans like how kids in middle school used to make purses out of capri sun pouches. A Prime purse would be quite the status symbol for an English kid in school, I'm sure.
I work in a school and prime is definitely a flex for them. Someone stole the bottle that another child had. It had water in it but they wanted the bottle anyway. Also, a child bought the drink for 45 quid from someone. And I think another paid more. These children are literally 10 and they're all so obsessed with it.

I was at my local grocery store chain last Thursday (it's Tuesday) and they had SO MUCH Prime Energy. They gave up at making the stock looking nice and just had boxes on the floor. We have a huge influx of it.
I stumbled upon the energy drinks at the grocery store because as you mentioned there was a bunch on a random shelf and I just was curious to try it. I’m super picky about energy drinks but damn I actually really liked their tropical punch one. It didn’t make me feel jittery either even though it’s still got a lot of caffeine which was surprising
The amount of caffeine scares me cuz these are marketed twords kids and my dad says his students (k-2) go feral for it and I was at a store and saw a 7-10 year old go mental cuz they saw them on the shelf. I also tryed it and got a head ache after a sip
The problem in the UK is the scarcity of it. Restocks are few and far between and the hype is because it's simply so hard to get. I have a teenage brother and kids love KSI but also these drinks are just the new thing for teens atm. It's very annoying that they're allowing their TEENAGE fans to be ripped off like this when they can easily make British distribution easier.
Makes a lot of sense in terms of understanding "why?!".
kids are so fucking weird man...
@@BekkiBicci as a 20-year-old in the uk I was actually watching people get id'd in sixth-form for a Lucozade 4 years ago, I wouldn't be surprised if schools banned prime tbh
It's such a funny dichotomy that the American content creators talking about Prime know Logan as the creator of prime while English ones know Prime as KSI's thing
i’m just making a guess here but, it might be due to location specific advertising. be it physical ads or online ads, they’re almost always specific to the viewers location. it’d make sense for them to highlight a different creator in marketing campaigns depending on the country.
then you have Asia where didn't even know this existed (at least my group of friends)
@@bluz1864 my school knows of prime and resells it but do not give two shits about the creators
‘That’s unhinged!’ Amanda says as her eye twitches in reaction to the ungodly amount of caffeine she has consumed.
It's so upsetting that no matter how many people you scam, if you're rich and famous enough you can get away with it.

Also a note, I didn't see you mention it. In the UK you have to be 16+ to buy energy drink. I am 28 and still get ID'd for it. So I'm concerned about HOW kids are buying it
It's the hydration one that they go crazy for which is not an energy drink.
I just don’t want the awkward wait)
Or the tiny bottles of rum they had at Christmas.
But the independents just do not seem to care.
Some parents are buying for their kids I'd guess.
Edit: I've also heard that children get their hands on it by buying it off high schoolers (10-12th graders), who are apparently buying it from stores and scalping it to younger kids for like $10 a can
I believe it’s not a legal requirement and just something that the big supermarkets choose to uphold, which smaller shops may choose not to.
In the UK: there seems to be quite limited availability in terms of amount and locations and it really seems to be kids and teens pressuring parents to get hold of it from what I've seen.
I live in Canada and nobody here cares.
Yes. Logan and KSI have channel's that cater to kids so that makes sense that kids would be driving the shortage

Between constant austerity, Brexit, a cost of living crisis, a tanked pound, continual industry strikes and 13 years of the Conservative government, it's safe to say the country has collectively lost its mind. In a country that's growing more insane, this hysteria over Prime seems to make perfect sense.
don't forget the pandemmy too
Not to mention we get a new Prime Minister every week.
At what point do we Americans get to make fun of your silliness? I want revenge for the Bush years.
@@MrSkeltal268 you have free reign when we get our next prime minister in probably a few weeks
Mental!
When the WAGs are in on it you know it's big lmao
Wow that's kinda sad, transforming your child's birthday party in a brand deal
I think some of the UK "hype" has likely also been caused by supply chain issues post-Brexit. It has affected production/importing/exporting of the majority of products regardless of industry here
Oh man, I was thinking about whether KSI is considered generally decent in the uk, I hadn't considered how the politics in the uk would affect things too
I think it’s more the fact that only asda and more recently aldi have the deals to sell it
i'm in scotland and honestly the posts of people hunting for this stuff desperately bc it's what their kids wanted for christmas?? and people posting on behalf of their kids that the kid is selling it for a big markup? it's wild over here, send help
Interesting here in the US and Canada people can't even be bothered with it
It’s so interesting, I had just watched a little mini documentary about how fervent people were about this drink over in the UK…paying hundreds of dollars for a single bottle.
She literally got more hyper as the video continued 😂
at the end, it was really funny, she was talking soooo fast!
I thought I was the only one that noticed that 🤣🤣🤣
I used to drink these CONSTANTLY for work and omg....it hit so fast

I tried one, for the first time, after watching this video.
Oh, yeah!!! It definitely hits hard.
@@samueleuresti3 I had to stop tho, was very addictive lol
Yep, I don’t think Prime will last after the hype goes away, like all TH-camr products, it will be quietly discontinued
@Oliver Stemp hope not...even though I took a break from em...they taste sooo good
In the uk it’s mostly young kids who are begging their parents to buy them prime, or for the internet trend of “I bought prime”
US too. Kids are literally washing their empty Prime bottles to display them on shelves...
@@jrhartauthor same I go to an all boys school for sixth form (American senior year) and there are boys drinking water out of them, to prove they bought prime at some point

I saw an article that said they contain too much caffeine to be legally sold in Australia
KSI is enormous in the UK. He is truly an A-List celebrity there.
@@G4rfield Since it is mostly kids* chasing clout, I'm not completely convinced. Yes, KSI is massive, I'm just not sure it is the same as A-list. But I'm not going to die on that hill either, so...

@@ltlbuddhaI think it’s a bit weird to assume that celebs only apply to adults. Children are a huge demographic and have disposable income via parents. JoJo Siwa built an entire empire from kids content and has celebs like Cardi B shouting her out!!!
I was in one of my local corner shops and the staff were laughing at the price of Prime. They were suggestion similar drinks are available from our equivalent of dollar stores.
Every week I'm at Publix I see this stuff sitting there untouched.
Yeah, here in the Midwest of the US they’ve been pretty stocked, especially at Walmart & they’re right in the front when you walk into the store.
Another thing I never heard about and probably never would have heard about if it wasn't for your channel. Thanks as always Amanda.
Clicks a video, sees this in the recommended side bar, immediately clicks this instead because a fresh swell video is always more interesting😅
As a teacher in a UK secondary school, Prime is absolutely everywhere. Kids will keep the empty bottles to fill with water for clout, it's absurd
If he did sue you it would just make him look worse
in irish aldis they have limited offerings of products sometimes, like say they’ll have a local jam stocked and when it’s sold out they don’t restock it, that type of thing. so it might be that?
I have a caffeine problem, just not an energy drink problem. ✨ Camera zoom in during opening of can✨ had me rolling
I've seen these at my local Kroger and they were completely stocked. It didn't even seem like anyone had bought very many.

The regulations in the UK for ingredients are very regulated. Most ingredients that we have in our food in the US are banned in Europe and Uk so maybe that’s why it’s taking longer to supply there

The UK normally has different food/drink laws. So the production has to be different, causing shortages
A one time buy is just a limited sale product in Aldi. They rotate stock on a regular basis, far more than most supermarkets
Hearing asda and aldi in an American accent is triggering my fight or flight and I don’t know why lmfao
I'm Indiana, saw them in a Target yesterday. The shelves were full.
Omg this is HILARIOUS! I'm in Minnesota and just got home from Walmart where there was untouched PALLETS of these
I’m in Rhode Island and just came home from uni for the long weekend, my towns local Walmart also has untouched pallets of them!
Maybe its not even over here I don't shop at asda but like... what?
The drinks look legit good, particularly the hydration version. I'd be willing to try it if the prices weren't so ridiculous
I don't know if it was actually here or not but I saw a video of people rushing for bottles of prime "in Ireland" and boy do I hope that's not the case because I live here and that makes me sad.

Also they’re always stocked up where I live in Canada lol
I just got home from grocery shopping where I overlooked Prime completely in favor of Gatorade. I had no idea what Prime was or that Logan was involved in it.
The EU, and probably the UK, have much stricter food regulations than the US which could cause a delay in distribution if the drink has been produced in, and imported from, the US. (Google EU vs US Fanta for a visual comparison.)
That pulsing behind the eyes is likely an eyeache not a headache
It's usually caused by eyestrain which the mixture of screen staring and stimulants can definitely cause
If you close your eyes and apply gentle pressure around the center you'll probably feel the ache condense closer or even in the eye if it is an eyeache
They suck and the only ways I know of to get rid of them are resting them (sleep/distance looking/keeping them closed for literal hours/eating&hydrating/...and yea that's literally it)
You should probably have like a medic or something or at least a friend or family member with you if you're gonna consume large amounts of any drug especially the ones people don't really think of as a big deal like caffeine
Good vid though
Hey, 200mg/per 355ml is an INSANE amount of caffeine. If I am not mistaking in Canada a drink with that amount of caffeine is not legal to be sold on the territory, because we have laws who cap the maximum amount to 400mg/L wich mean 200mg/500ml .
Also if anybody want clear and concise information about caffeine and it's effect I recommend the Food theory on the caffeinate lemonade
My 11 year old cousins cued outside aldi just before Christmas, I’ve only ever seen one bottle of prime irl before
The demand is due to resale opportunities (older people are getting it for that particular purpose), ksi, the drinks brand (aka kids flexing it) and it’s seen as a almost designer item~ the cans you drunk in the video have been selling for £50-75 each actively
I'm imagining Amanda taking a few sips of each and then dumping them all down the drain.

Amanda, I rarely know about the products or the events you talk about, but you always make things so fascinating and keep me so invested. I'm so excited to watch this video about a product I have never heard of. Please go ahead; I am listening intently.
The UK craze for Prime was more about clout than anything else.

Prime was an Aldi Specialbuy, random products, usually non food, that are only released once a week.
I’ve been waiting for this one
The increasingly manic energy in the outro is delightful but also _concerning_
I was at my local grocery store chain last Thursday (it's Tuesday) and they had SO MUCH Prime Energy. They gave up at making the stock looking nice and just had boxes on the floor. We have a huge influx of it.
"Is that a new headache or did I already have that" is SUCH a mood. Thanks for the video! 😂😊
Sure, they're not in charge but they have enough power to get something done.
