    One of the very good things in life is a pair of great old loudspeakers.
    Rock On Dude!

    The speakers seem fine but the camera mike is not able to pick up a good quality full frequency sound. It's much too compressed. Better if you can invest in a high quality microphone to properly demonstrate the speakers sound. All the best.

    Amazing speaker i love it ... anyway a very complex speaker for sure ... i wonder how it could sound with just 3 ways instead of 5 ... but if it sound great that is what matters. Very rare on the 2nd market This must mean something indeed. Thanks and kind regards, gino

    I like your videos but how can you say a non-original driver is not a problem? Speaker design is so delicate that replacing a driver with a non-original one will definitely have an impact on the sound, 99% of the time a negative one.

    How can I hear the sound quality on TH-cam? Probably the same as listening to the sound by calling. )))

    I would like to have you test B&0 Beolab 4000 active loud speakers, could you please give them a go? If you can find some cheap on the market it would be good to hear your views on them.

    the sound is nice . But maybe the Denon amp sounds good also.

    Do you know that phones output has a diferent level than the line input and impedance.. wich not fit ther specs of the receiver loosing a lot of bass frequencies and complexity, also by time it could damage amplifier internal components making sound worse. A dac with 2V Rms or 2000Mv is the right choice, if you receiver is vintage you can buy a 13DB attenuator on ebay, to make 200mv goes to 150mv or 180mv , so you get the real vintage sound. theres a mv to DB converter on google so you can calculate the correct DB number for your needs and buy a correct attenuator (gold ones form ebay 22 us each the best) but anyway i think you already know that and also the phones have a quite good sound and hard to damage anything

      Erm, ok... you are correct that the phones output is a low impedance output, and that the inputs on the Amp are not made for this low impedance. However, how the hell can giving a preamp a lower input level actually cause damage to it? It’s no different than when a song fades out at the end, are you saying that playing quiet music will cause physical damage to an amplifier? The worst that can happen is that you need to increase your volume control on your amplifier.
      Also where is this 0.2vrms figure coming from? This is not a standard in post 1960s equipment. Most real hifi equipment will not care if the signal is 0.2vrms or 2vrms which has been the standard practically forever. Most preamplifiers will not overload or clip as the input signal is usually routed through the volume control pot first. Adding attenuation will lessen the quality of the signal, or possibly introduce artefacts. Granted that if you own a piece of equipment with a badly designed preamp you may be forced to attenuate. I own lots of vintage hifi, and suffer no issues with any line level input from any and all devices I have ever connected to it.

      @Mikexception 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Low output impedance and high input of next stage is the most desired by me and up to my knowledge all amps were designed that way that signal goes from abiout 0,1 M resistance and enters 1 M at next grid . High output impedance when vonnecting two units is vournerable to cable connections capacities. Headphone out is controlled by volume.

    The device above the bass is not orignal, it must be a peerless filled drive and not a Seas 10Fm as it sits in the ones you have, it is probably the best speaker B&O has made to date, which is not saved in any way on devices or crossovers.

    I'm no expert, but that room doesn't seem like a very good one for sound testing. That floor has got to be very bouncy/bright. What are you recording this sound on? doesn't sound like the best quality you could be getting. Why say these are b&O best speakers? I have beovox 5700's.

  • @xXLegendXx70

    So Andrew it's a little hard on my side to see how they really sound....so how do you think they sound and the most important part hows the bass do they have bass ?????? They look nice but idk about the sound

    • @vintagestereo
      @vintagestereo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      they have very much bass, you need a very good amp to control that bass. my akai control that bass much better as the denon. they have the tendency to booming when you don't connect it to a very good amp. but you will all hear that in the vs test i already made between 5 speakers

    they are no better than the MC120.2 or the MS 150.2 - I own all of them - MS150s offer the best bass (so long as they are on their bespoke stands)
