- Today we shot some beautiful 4K Drone Footage on Coeur d'Alene Lake! We featured some beautiful sailboats, CDA Resort Cruise Boats, Parasailing, Swimming at the Coeur d'Alene Beach and Tubbs Hill. We also got some beautiful footage of the Coeur d'Alene Resort!

We only visited for a week about 3 years ago Thanksgiving week. Mostly saw the area from Arrow Point , Beauty Bay, Wolf Lodge Bay and up the river to Post Falls. All was so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
When i was a kid, Grandma would take us to Playland Pier. It's gone now. i believe it was located about where the newspaper is now. i remember riding the "swing set" ride, and how it swung out over the water when the ride sped up! Grandma's parents homesteaded there in Del Cardo Bay in 1895. i spent many childhood summers there, working in the woods with grandpa, swimming all day, waiting for the mail boat to bring the mail and daily newspaper. when the log booms came up the lake, they were easily a mile long. it took hours for one to go by. Grandma would load us into the rowboat, and we would fish along side the log boom, cuz the fish would be feeding on the bugs falling off the logs. Good fishing! some times we would row across the lake to turner bay store for a ginger ale. 4th of july we had the family reunion, and we would hit the U-PICK farms and get ten ears of corn for a dollar. we dug a pit in the beach for pit cooking. corn on the cob, fried chicken, fried rabbit, watermelon pickles, ice cream.... I had it soooo good then, and didn't even know it. one summer i found a message in a bottle from driftwood point. i learned to swim there, how to dive, i learned to fish there, i learned to clean fish there... build a bonfire, roast hot dogs, how to build a bee trap out of a pie plate, string and sugar water... hauled water from the spring in a 2 gallon bucket... Dang!!!! Now i got a job, a mortgage, a wife, a kid.... no time for fun!!!
I lived in Coeur d’Alene 1958 to 1959, the best childhood memories of playing in the lake hanging out at the river walk, riding my bike down the railroad tracks and being free to go anywhere any time with my friends. We had sleepovers outside and I remember the earthquake that happened in Alaska. Please don’t quote me on the dates because remember I was only a kid and I’m doing the best I can’t remember things. The saddest day of my was when and my mother took us away from Coeur d Alene. And moved us to Jerome ... 😩I took myself to a little pottery class somewhere downtown and I rode my bike there and back, I went to a school called Sherman school and I believe our apartment complex was also called Sherman, all I know is that there was a general Sherman that was camped in Coeur d’Alene back in the day. No although I live in Santa Cruz California I am not a liberal I am not a Democrat, and I would love to be able to come back and live in Coeur d’Alene. Where people are sane...If you are still reading this.. please say a prayer for me because I feel like Coeur d Alene was always my home. And I’m asking God to give me the wisdom, guidance and wherewithal to be able to move back. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. Thank you

Horrible question we are full don't come, winters are long gets dark at 3 30pm, gets cold in sept to oct and warms up in may or june.
