Love these videos about deeply obscure and strange old LEGO things. These really don't get talked about much, but you're right, they do have a lot of interesting stuff in them! This whole video I was thinking things like "that'd make for an interesting texture on a spaceship" and "ooh that teal flower pot could be a rover wheel!"

I feel like Scala sets had a lot of really good ideas that got overlooked just because they were """girls' toys"""
Like it would probably be more expensive, but I feel like if they kept updating the process of making foam pieces to make it more standardized, I feel like they could fit in a lot of modern day sets. And making a cardboard to-go box for a lego sandwich is just really clever and cute, and makes me want to see more things like that

Had Scala as a kid, think we had like three sets, me and my sister LOVED them😂❤ Please do more of these if you find more sets, got such a good nostalgia kick! Gotta go up to the attic and see if i can dig those sets out, I think i remember a dark haired girl who had cats and like an icecream shop/stand? Research time! Thanks for the vid man!😊❤

I love these presentation of weird and hidden lego sets.... tho in this set, the weidest thing is the coffee machine, in actual lego pieces, and even a chrome one... feels kinda out of place XD

Yeah, seeing glue be required for a set is pretty weird, but I want to say it's not the first time, there's potentially something from the 60s that even came with a bottle of glue.
Also kind of a shame you had to get this set second hand with some damage because all the little holes also needed to be punched out of the foam and should have been saved. There's one of these Scala sets that actually uses all the little foam circles as dog food. Your rug is missing 6 of those circles in yellow, and I wouldn't be surprised if the flower regains a green one for its center.
And of course you shouldn't be surprised that I recognized those cups immediately. I only know the Chrome versions because I own that set, and I love that detail about it. I always thought it was a little weird the standard mug piece wasn't used, but then I think I looked it up on BrickLink once and saw just what they were originally from. They're even originally molded pieces in white that have been chromed over. I know this because there's usually some kind of connection point that never gets chromed all the way, and the bases are white. Lightsaber hilts were always light gray, Aqua Zone spears were always clear, as well as a lot of other parts made for larger scale trucks and things.
