Dr Roy thank you so much for these beautiful tips. Can you please clear me one thing about the stopwatch that when we'll be in need of watching time in station 2,4,5 where do we'll put the watch so that we can track the time properly?? Or do we need to keep it in the pocket and check the time by taking it from pocket and putting it back again there in pocket?
Thanks a lot for such informative channel... Would it be wise to take Mrcp part 1and 2 exams while doing MD side by side in India. I wish to move outside after pg. plz answer
Yes Ryan that is a very reasonable plan. Try finish your MRCP part 1 and part 2 within the first 2 years of MD and take PACES immediately after MD final exams. Then you can apply for GMC registration and start working in the NHS.
@@AceurMRCP thanks for the reply.. Should i book the February’s exam. As i am mostly sitting at home these days coz our neet pg counselling got delayed. Are two months enough for the preparation for part1
Hi Hanish This is a very good question. I will make a full video on this , but in my opinion the top reasons for failing PACES are: 1. Inadequate preparation; underestimating the exam. PACES can be really easy or really tough depending on your preparation. 2. Lack of confidence; the candidate may be extremely knowledgable but if they lack confidence they will definitely fail. 3.Overconfidence: and hence underpreparation. 4. Luck. All the best for your preparation.
Your video is always so informative. Thanks a lot 🙂. I have 1 question, can we carry this type of stopwatch during the exam? As I thought only a wristwatch is allowed to be carried. 🙏🙂
Hi Sharmeen You are definitely allowed to carry both a wristwatch and a stopwatch as long. Carry your wristwatch around your belt and stopwatch in your pocket.
I have the same question .are we allowed to carry wristwatch or stopwatch.. digital.type? and the one showed is stopwatch i think ( available online..?).i have paces exam after just 20 days....
Hi Karan It is not necessary to hold an MD degree to work in the UK. However , even after passing MRCP you would have to acquire the core competencies at par with the UK graduates to apply for specialist training.
For medicine , you have to gather capabilities at par with IMT trainees. For further details you can go through the IMT curriculum of JRCPTB website or wait for my upcoming videos:)

Hi
For station 2 and 4 I kept it on the table where I was seated in clear view. For station 5, you can please it next to the patient's bed.
Thank you for Great guidance, its really helpful..btw u looking good in red jacket :)

do we need to get our own stethoscope or will we get it at the centre?
You would need to bring your own.
Will digital watch be allowed?
Can you tell me which watch is this?
Is it possible to provide a link for the same please
Hi Girish
Any watch is fine as long as you are not wearing it on your wrist and comfortable using it. I got this from a local supermarket.
