Cleveland area weather forecast: Possible severe storms this evening

Your 6 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for May 7, 2024: Heads up! We're tracking a severe weather threat this evening. Impact could be damaging winds, hail, flash flooding and even tornadoes.
All modes of severe weather are possible with this round with heavy rain, damaging winds, hail and even a few tornadoes. While we could see severe weather across all of northern Ohio, the highest threat is the further south and west you're located.
Overnight, we'll clear these storms out and quiet down for our Wednesday. We're in store for another summer-like day with highs in the upper 70s/near 80.
Another round of rain and a few rumbles is on the way for our Thursday. This round will bring a dose of much cooler air to northern Ohio for Friday and Saturday with some lingering showers on Friday off the lake. Temps look to remain on the cooler, but comfortable side through your Mother's Day Weekend.
