Mama 2014 was the last award stage for Tao, they managed to win artist of the year category and turned gen 3 back to life until now, exo started history!!
Boys, the one you saw before was a different song called "What is Love" by EXO.
"Tell me what is Love" is a song that D.O. and Yoo Youngjin (his vocal coach) sang as an SM Station collab. In this performance, they did an "EXO remix" for the song. 😊 You should check out the original version of "Tell me what is love" if you want to-die-for runs from D.O. and YYJ 😉

I was referring to what Peter was pointing out when he said it was the same song as the 'predebut' that they've heard..just saying it was the "What is Love" song by EXO and not "Tell me what is Love" by D.O. and YYJ 😊

to be fair you’ve not heard black pearl because you’ve not really heard anything before ‘15 in terms of b-sides. should check out their discography. also this arrangement of ‘black pearl’ was specifically for the performance; the original track has a different instrumental.

EXO MAMA stages are exceptional, and they really are the main attraction. My blood still boils thinking about how they were disrespected in 2017 though.

I remember that chanyeol was sick that day. In between the dance of overdose he left the stage and almost threw up. And that makes me respect their passion even more
What I also love with this live performance is Bobby from iKon had the best interaction. I watched his fancam just vibing, singing, dancing and in awe with the performance. He even gave a standing ovation along with his friends. 😄😄
Love you guys! Thank you for this reaction. This era was with Tao (rhyme with "cow") as the 10th member. After this era Tao also left the group. And Kris and Luhan left before him. So it was a tumultuous time for Exo...Tao stayed on a little longer to finish out their current tour. But the members who left sprung it on the group just prior to this Mama performance...making everyone scramble to re-do the dance and stage...days before the performance...they were working overtime to change everything they had practiced...so very overworked with their tours and appearances as they traveled. And members leaving caused worry and controversy for Exo's future and fans that may not support them...but real fans rallied and sold out all their concerts...but the members were still blindsided as the s**t hit the fan and it was all over the news. What gripes me the most is the members took it very hard and were very emotional about what was happening. They took it personally and saw it as their brothers leaving..just like that. They were incredibly distraught yet had to dance without crying, practice non stop with smiles on their faces, and it really took a toll on each member. They were worked to the bone and were passing out off stage from exhaustion during between song sets at concerts. So many concerns filled the members, and they felt like the group would disband if fans left them. But they persevered with the help of the true fans. And at the end of this Mama show, they again won "Album of the Year". I cherish Exo.

Exo was the transition group from 2nd gen into 3rd gen of kpop so they fit both the vibes of both the older and new gen💯🔥✨ and What is Love is an Exo song but the one that was performed here is Tell Me What Is Love by D.o and former sm Producer Yoh YoungJin

Btw no you haven't reacted to 'Tell Me (What Is Love)' this song is w/D.O. & his vocal coach Yoo Youngjin who has produced & written a lot of EXO songs (& others of course). He's a very prestrige, talented singer/songwriter, producer & vocal coach. He doesn't just train anyone, D.O. is among one of the very few to have that opportunity & honor. The song yall reacted to was actually 'What Is Love' which was indeed their pre debut song w/Baek & D.O. You definitely need to check the song out it's perfection.

Y'all need to hear the full reaction of tell me what is love, with Yoo Youngjin, one of the best composers in SM and also vocal coaches. he too is serving CRAZY vocals in that, he's a more mature and refined version of Kyungsoo, sound wise
YeAH you have to see the other mama performances as well!! They attended mama from 2012-2017 btw. That show and others were shitty to exo but ngl i miss seeing them perform there and see them interact with other idols i love too🤧

Guys, there are over 100 EXO songs, that doesn’t include chinese/japanese/english versions, sub-units and solo works 😂 If you add the EXO sub unit and solo works, OSTs, we are looking close to 300 songs??? Correct me if I’m wrong EXO-L’s… I mean Lay’s solo discography alone is deeper than most kpop groups you react to on your channel 😏 Exo has so many fantastic songs, it’s frustrating what youtube recommends because there is a lot of excellent exo content not popular on youtube 😅 Personally I ended up doing album listens and then searching for performances of those songs that you like… all their B sides are heavenly…

Each of the members had a (too) brief solo in their first concert tour. Deep Breath was Kai’s. Tell Me What is Love was D.O.’s. TMWIL was expanded for MAMA to add in chenbaek vocals and the rest of the members dancing. Later, it was studio recorded as a collab.
I don't think you have reacted to Tell me What Is Love. I think Peter was referring to What is Love which was EXO's pre-debut song. You probably have heard Tell me What Is Love in D.O.'s Guide by Cesar Oh as this was originally sung by D.O. and his voice coach Yoo Young Jin.
As always, I enjoyed your reaction. Black Pearl is not one of my favorite EXO songs but it is still a great song. EXO's sidetracks/b-sides are really hidden gems. Looking forward to more reactions to EXO live performances. 🥰
