You guys were choosing upgrades that worked against your builds there. Ioki had multiple abilities that scaled on max health and he kept lowering his max health, and didn't take the health passive. You need to check the "upgrade" part of your abilities to see what they scale and evolve with.
Those are just to evolve the weapon, if he took one level in max health and then took the augment that decreases ur max health that'd work too, it doesn't have to do with scaling
@@pinipilla some abilities specifically state that they scale with max health, like the burn aura they love using. Briar's attack also scales with max health.
I'd love to see more swarm content. Here's a few things I've learned playing swarm. 1: evolved weapons are incredibly powerful so you want to prioritize being able to evolve as many weapons as possible. 2: you must have the evolve stat at any level for a weapon to evole it. 3: the cards don't despawn and they function like a free level up so whenever possible you want to leave them on the ground until you can evolve at least one weapon. 4: it's easier to evolve all of your weapons if they overlap their evolve stat (eg briar basic attack evolves with health so you want to get statik sword and the sunfire cape on briar every chance you get.)
I'm now halfway in and since you took pickup from the yt comments, maybe I can offer some advice too. Choose any weapon to max out and make sure to get the corresponding passive Stat upgrade. They will combine at level 5 and be WAY stronger. You can do this with around 3-4 weapons on map 1. Also, pickup radius makes it to where you pick up almost everything you kill right away
@@shandlerbarbosa2353 you can max out everything. It took a while to figure it out, but you can’t evolve by leveling up. You can *only* evolve from cards dropped by bosses/mini bosses. Once you level up your baseline experience with gold, you should have enough to evolve each weapon on most maps.

Being on PBE, this mode has a LOT of bugs, so it can be hard to tell what's a bug and what is working as intended. Especially with minimal tooltips. Some big tips: Hovering each ability will have something like "Evolve: Max Health". It isn't immediately clear, but this means to evolve it you need the Max Health Passive. Weapons evolve at level 6. Holding Tab will show you your stats, augments, and a list of every weapon along with what stat it evolves with so you can better plan your build. Leveling up will give you the option to upgrade weapons and passives, *BUT weapons can ONLY evolve by picking up access cards* (cards dropped by bosses/events). You cannot evolve a weapon simply by leveling up. Try to level up weapons before passives to guarantee evolving all 5 weapons. Additionally, if you have a weapon to level 5 when you pick up an access card, it will guarantee evolve your weapon. Pick up cards strategically. May be best to hold off on picking up cards if you are close to leveling a weapon to 5 to guarantee your evolve. Picking up health will heal your allies as well. If allies are low, you can heal them cross-map You can use the spacebar instead of "E" for your ability which is much easier to manage for many champs Check "Objectives" in the launcher to unlock new champs and content The increase Area passive doesn't appear to be in the game. Likely an error, so the weapons that require Area (mines and shortbow) cannot evolve. Leona is great but has a common bug where she stops moving and you have to use your mouse to move rather than WASD. Several champs have bugs where their abilities lose visuals but still appear to be working. Feel free to comment other bugs and tips :)
To add to the bugs I have encountered, Jinx occasionally permanently roots herself in place when cast R. I had a big where the Seahorse Enemy was permanently locked on to me even when I was KO, when I revived I was permanently knocked up until I died again. Then when I respawned I was still targeted again but not permanently knocked up. I had bug with Aurora against phase 2 Aatrox. I could walk all directions except left which made me get KO by the water rising.
@@benign_oracle8875I had a similar bug for Aatrox. Second phase we got chained at the start of the wave, but didn’t get unchained when we killed the post. Held us in place until wave killed us
@@KreamerSC I am not sure but Jinx did a very short while where she was locked in in her ult animation which rooted her in place for regular league games. I assume that the issue was the same. I have not encountered that issue with Leona yet
My Champ Tier List after beating Extreme: S: Riven, Leona A: Yasuo, Seraphine, Illoai B: Briar, Xayah F: Jinx I wasn’t able to play Aurora without her bugging and projectiles becoming invisible. Seemed like a fun kit though.
aurora with her auto attack fully upgraded is good, rest of her kit is pretty terrible so you're just relying on augments then. she makes a way better adc than jinx though. i also think illaoi is SS tier lol. you get 200 haste when you ult and you can extend that duration long enough it's still up when you ult again.... meaning you permanently have ~300 haste and a 20s cd ult and tentacles that last like 5 minutes spawning every 1-2 seconds.

This is my tier list after beating extreme also: S: Yasuo, Leona, Illoai A: Riven, Briar B: Seraphine, Xayah F: Jinx Pretty close to the same, But honestly most of the time it comes down to straight RNG on your loadout. If you build each champ properly, they all can beat Aatrox on extreme, minus Jinx shes just trash.
The passive stat will show an icon for the weapons it can upgrade at level 5 if you already have selected that weapon. I always upgrade my base weapon and go EXP passive to get higher levels faster.

is the character story progressing normally for you? cause i cant complete any of them even tho i maxed out every upgrade (except for anima which i dont think you can unlock yet), unlocked every single character, played every map on hard and defeated aatrox (btw the quest for defeating him on hard isnt completed too for some reason) and did basically every other quest you can do up to the extreme difficulty

Ur better off Looping for the upgrade combs like haste and jinx standard ability cuz the lvl 5+ ability does Lords more dmg then getting perfect passives (in most cases)
I am no specialist but pick up radius is good on ranged champs, on melee its not that important since you need to be on top of the enemies so you will pick the orbs anyway
The reason why pickup radius is so strong is because it allows to to pick up more XP orbs, gain more levels, and get stronger faster. Yes, it absolutely does nothing to grant you immediate raw damage and isn’t exciting, but it’s also one of the best ways to scale into the late game and win rounds.
I gotta say, pick up range isn't OP. It's just basically needed unless you want to clear a line of enemies, then do a massive circle to pick up the exp you couldn't get because it was being blocked by the hoard of monsters chasing you.
This is why I nearly always take the "Every 60 seconds grab all xp and gold" augment, it eliminates the need for pick up range. Also it synnergizes pretty well with Illaoi, since you cant really grab all the xp that your tentacles generate by killing.

Dont go hard on pick up radius. But it IS good. Kill something at the end of your boomerang, but can't get the xp? NO MORE! But yeah, narrow focus on damage is the goal for these types of games. It is common to have single weapon runs for example, because leveling one weapon only makes for that weapo9n being extremely strong. Outside early game, they are generally really good runs. Keep up the LoLvivors. its good times. Remember the rainbow orb (commonly called magnet in many games) where you didn't get xp? Thats your overinflated pick up radius. Its good. Not stack-it-and-only-it good
Honestly is still useful when getting waves of small mobs late game and need to push through the swarm. You can take health passive on most any champ and that weapon does quite a bit of damage.

If you're rotating enough you're gonna get the pulses that pick up everything on the map anyway, and the passive pick-up radius you get from stats is more than enough to pick up most of what you're killing anyway. You just wanna focus on the stats that evolve your abilities.
IM ON EXTREME DIFICULTY NOW, i've been waiting for a game like this i love it, wiggle your keys don't hold it in(tap 2 keys at a time W+A_ W+D_ A+S_ D+S, dont be scared to get close to them just dont touch , (small kites) the shuttering will make the minions turn so the slow down a tiny bit , jinx need the UwU Blaster+Projectile count and max+ max Meow Meow, Blade-o-rang, Gatling Bunny-Guns or arrows, crit, Damage , ability hast , yumi buffs no good don't worry abut them, go for the MF buffs, Only downside for me is the 320ms Africa PBE: the320msPlayer
100% try to upgrade all 5 weapons, getting weapons that upgrade on the same passive is the best way to get utility passives as well. In the hardest diffuctly (while rerolls are bugged) if I can't hit the passives for my weapons I just surrender and go again.

Leona bugs quite a bit. Same with Aurora for me. Riven is my go to. Damage transfers to shields. Can go full DPS and become unkillable with infinite shields. Plus the best mobility in the game.
@@iokiandheiz3535 no its not, you need Lv5 yuumi bot and Lv1 pickup radius. The skill tells you what passive you need to advance the skill. That passive skill only needs to be Lv1 but the damage ability needs Lv5. Edit: After Lv5 main abiltity and Lv1 corresponding passive, you need to pickup one of the blue cards that bosses/elites drop
@@iokiandheiz3535 for most champs you wanna get Haste, Briar loves MaxHP. And XP gain can make your runs go a lot further, its one of the most broken thinks in other games, the tradeoff is extra 10+ levels later for -5 levels now.
bit painful to see how much time you spend running around hitting air while you could get more exp and boxes. to get the snowball running you kinda wanna always face as many enemies as you possibly can
If you see the damage buff, get it. I believe it It buffs damage you deal and goes up to 50% i think. This is needed for the later stages when the enemies are really tanky. The EXP boost is also very strong because you get more levels faster allowing you to kill monsters faster to get even more EXP. This allows you to get more level ups so you can actually max your abilities and try to evolve them. The last passive slots should be filled strategically to evolve some of your abilities I don't think pick up radius is good. But if you don't get it, you have to intentionally walk in circles to pick up the experience from killed monsters or walk around the edges of the map to get crates to find the orb that picks up everything
I wouldnt expect much from someone who doesnt play these kinds of games often, just let him learn. Also id say crit, dmg and ability haste are enough most of the time. Projectile count is a good extra for those couple empty slots.

I usually try to upgrade all 5 but if you don’t get the weapons you want, I guess 3 would be an ok minimum

Y’all the passives and weapons work together. Look at the bottom of the passive for your weapons icons. That’s how you get them to evolve.

I'd go for Pick-Me-Up. It allows you to just ignore orbs, focus on something else and get a free magnet once a minute.

Each ability has a passive that you need to also upgrade to 5 before it’ll evolve into a super powerful ability

@@iokiandheiz3535 no its not, you need Lv5 yuumi bot and Lv1 pickup radius. The skill tells you what passive you need to advance the skill.
That passive skill only needs to be Lv1 but the damage ability needs Lv5.
Edit: After Lv5 main abiltity and Lv1 corresponding passive, you need to pickup one of the blue cards that bosses/elites drop

@@iokiandheiz3535 yep :) I play a ton of roguelikes and survivor games and this is a common thing. HoloCure has it like this (as the biggest example)
@@iokiandheiz3535 for most champs you wanna get Haste, Briar loves MaxHP.
And XP gain can make your runs go a lot further, its one of the most broken thinks in other games, the tradeoff is extra 10+ levels later for -5 levels now.
So take things that you will never be able to evolve ✅

Sad to hear that not all champs seem viable. Keep hearing like jinx is weak. Sad. Hope the balnce that but knowing riot they prob wont.
bit painful to see how much time you spend running around hitting air while you could get more exp and boxes. to get the snowball running you kinda wanna always face as many enemies as you possibly can
If you see the damage buff, get it. I believe it It buffs damage you deal and goes up to 50% i think. This is needed for the later stages when the enemies are really tanky. The EXP boost is also very strong because you get more levels faster allowing you to kill monsters faster to get even more EXP. This allows you to get more level ups so you can actually max your abilities and try to evolve them. The last passive slots should be filled strategically to evolve some of your abilities
I don't think pick up radius is good. But if you don't get it, you have to intentionally walk in circles to pick up the experience from killed monsters or walk around the edges of the map to get crates to find the orb that picks up everything
you picked the worst augments for jinx man, like the worst :)) u ignored projectile count which is op for a dmg dealer
I wouldnt expect much from someone who doesnt play these kinds of games often, just let him learn.
Also id say crit, dmg and ability haste are enough most of the time. Projectile count is a good extra for those couple empty slots.
You guys are loosing cuz your picking the wrong stats for the skills....youll need the right stats augment for the skill to evolve...

if you don't know how to play the mode, perhaps play an easier map. starting at the end with zero knowledge is why you're struggling so much
Yep totally understand -- the game finally "clicked" for me after reading through a couple comments. Now I know how to make better builds, I understand the evolve system, etc. - i0ki
