    1. Josh Allen (43)
    2. Dexter Lawrence (21.875)
    3. George Kittle (15)
    4. Chevarious Ward (13.5)
    5. David Andrews (6)
    That gets me in slightly below 100M. Would've liked an edge but didn't work with values. Ward is a top 5ish corner and is 11th in contract average. Lawrence is a top 2 or 3 DT and is 9th. Going tight end gave me the best bang for my buck as far as a pass catcher. Almost went with your OT selection but went with a top 6-8 center instead.

    There are a handful of teams that have a true franchise QB. Now when I'm talking franchise I'm not talking starting QB, every team has one of those. I'm talking a QB who is the offense and who can function at an elite level with anyone because he's just the best player on the field when he's on the field. I'm talking both sides of the ball. So who are these players right now, Mahomes that goes without saying, Allen he's a beast and when he's in beast mode he's a load, Burrow he's a surgeon and can carve up a defense, his health is a bit concerning lastly is Herbert, physically he's just behind Allen in size and arm strength. That's about it in the AFC.

    I totally disagree that Allen has not done well with a coleman/higgins type. Who has he ever had? Are we really looking at Kelvin Benjamin and Duke Johnson and say that he can't succeed with that type?
    Also saying he's not an anticipating type. Remember the TD to q Morris against the dolphins? Just one of many of an example of allen throwing before the receiver even turns putting the ball between 2 defenders. I think Allen often looks for guys to flash open because he can rip the ball there so fast but I've seen him make plenty of amazing anticipation throws. I think keon will thrive with him

    u mention Diggs and his horrible #’s in the latter part of year and playoffs…lots of inefficiency …. But yet u like his separation style … but the inefficiency was still there… any good separation able WR will make any QB shine …. It’s the QB ability to throw to the anticipated style WR that is the game changer… Davis dropped too many … which created Allen to lose faith in Davis…and thus less opportunity and lower production.
    All the drops last year … without them, imagine the #’s Allen would have had

    I believe long term, the Bills will be better at WR. There could be some short term growing pains especially early in the season. Bills may rely on the run game a little more than usual while they work out the kinks. I'm glad they let Davis walk in free agency. The reason why fans around the league think our offense is done is that they still think Diggs is a top 5 WR and Gabe is a great WR2 that can step up and be a #1 like they saw in the Playoffs two years ago. None of those two are true tho. Gabe is closer to a WR4 than he is a WR2 for a contender and Diggs isn’t as good as he was the first three years with us. So the drop in talent isn’t as significant as others assume.

    Joe, you are absolutely right about Diggs' production, it dropped off a cliff after London. A lot of analysts are pointing at this production and then pointing at Shakir's production in that same time and saying the things you are saying. But Shakir had all that production WITH DIGGS ON THE FIELD! James Cook got all those yards WITH DIGGS ON THE FIELD. Yes, he might have had poor production but he was still drawing double coverage and defenses continued to work to neutralize him. And they did, while Shakir and Cook produced. I'm really not sure we are going to see these players produce the same way with Diggs gone. What is Shakir going to look like when HE is getting double coverage? What is Cook going to do when he is facing Safties who aren't adjusting their alignment to play over a specific receiver. Thinking that those who produced when Diggs was there will still produce when he's gone is like thinking Isaiah Mackenzie's high production in limited snaps could scale up with volume, which it did not. Who on oour offense is going to command a defense's attention and resources putting other players in a position to eat? I don't see anyone unless Coleman hits his full potential quickly. We traded away a top 5 receiver and that production is not likely to come back "in the aggregate" as people are so fond of saying. My only realistic hope for us putting together a top 5 offense is if our running game picks up this slack, and if teams are having to play run-first against us.

    • @nealanthony3482
      @nealanthony3482 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are absolutely right about the Diggs effect while he is on the field. Yes we did trade a top 5 receiver that would have had a net additional cost of only $3 Million Dollars. Just imagine any of the other 31 teams saying no to having Diggs on the team for a cost of 3M . Zero teams would say no. I guess we have to trust the process.

    • @jdub1671
      @jdub1671 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it was probably the right call, and Texans also did something with his contract that you would think 31 teams would never do. You have to wonder just how bad things were for Beane to cut him loose before he even played a snap on that huge extension. But then there is that consistency with the Texans basically converting him to a one year deal when they could have had him for longer for $0. This tells me the league thinks he’s some combination of toxic and washed. Texans seem pretty sure he’s on the decline and think the only way to get him to produce is to put him on a one year deal. If they’re right and he produces he’s still not going to get real paid ever again. He’s over 30 and clearly an issue to have around.

Anybody is going to put up solid counting stats when they get 160+ targets from the 2nd best QB in the league. 1100 yards and 8 TDs is mediocre for that amount of catches and targets. He wasn't drawing double teams down the stretch. He got 9+ targets a game over the final 8 or so games and was out produced by both Kincaid and Shakir on less than half those targets over that span. People are going to see, and quickly remember, how bad Allen is without a star WR to carry him. His completion percentage before diggs was abysmal. Allen isn't a top 10 QB, and this season is going to clearly illustrate that.

      dude whatever have u seen mahomes without kelse? have you seen burrow without his 3 recievers. all qb have they guy . so its easy for you to admit allen gonna be trash than it is that diggs was shit towards the end of the year. dont talk about the playoff because diggs was shit in them games

      Look i know its easy to feel jelous when the bills are crushing your team year after year, but your argument cannot be backed by stats, Allen is a top 3 qb, and no amount of crybaby lying is going to change it

      Bills have beat the chiefs once a year several years in a row, the truth is the margins are very close. I think the reality right now is your scared of how your going to feel when the Bills out perform the chiefs again and you will no choice but to acknowledge that Allen is Mahomes equal
