    Great tutorial.
    Have you tried the tradfri zigbee controller?
    Thanks a lot

      I have not yet done that one. I am waiting another rgb led controller to arrive tho, so keep an eye out for that one! :)

  • @flippy9133

    so it can only do one color at the time?

    • @TriplusTutorials
      @TriplusTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the full led-strip is indeed 1 color at a time. It's not used for an addressable led strip.

    Can this one control a light strip which is WS2812B IP65

    • @TriplusTutorials
      @TriplusTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think so. It's not able to address individual LEDs

    Good guide thank you.
    I have a problem connecting my Gledopto RGB Controller with my Conbee II,
    you said in the video that it can be needed to reset it a few times, what do you mean exactly?
    I have tried to unplug/plug the controllers power a few times without luck.
    Cheers

    • @TriplusTutorials
      @TriplusTutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It should work - I read that you need to make sure your controller is fully powered down. You may be switching too fast.
      If it doesn't work I would check with some Gledopto support groups/forums

      TriplusTutorials I see, thanks!
      I will try the deConz help on discord. Could be interference with other 2.4GHz signals 🤔

      I have the same problema, there is no way to put the controller in set mode... in my case is not RGB+CCT but the RGBW.
      I fear I will need a kind of gateway to configure it, like the conbee II. Without one of those, no way.

    Is posible not view led points with any diffuser?

    • @TriplusTutorials
      @TriplusTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      maybe with a very low transparency diffuser.(but you will lose light strength) But My led strip is not pointing directly up on level I view often, so the light "points" I see are limited. Try pointing your ledstrip to the floor or the wall to limit this.

    Hi, what devices must you have in order for it to work ? Just home assistant, gledepto controller and the led strip would do ?

    • @TriplusTutorials
      @TriplusTutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Home assistant and some kind of ZIGBEE controller. I use the deconz II stick to achieve this. The zigbee controller is required to controll the zigbee led controller :)

      Looks like you will have to take an MQTT detour (quick google search, personally I have no experience with Apple): www.reddit.com/r/HomeKit/comments/m4zex4/zigbee2mqtt_setup_homekit_integration_pi_conbee/

    Hi there,
    The rail where you put in the RGB strip any idea if that makes it waterproof and what store did you get it in BE ? Thanks

    • @TriplusTutorials
      @TriplusTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ledstripkoning
      For waterproofness - I think you should get a waterproof led strip & not a waterproof rail.

    • @digitalmesh
      @digitalmesh 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TriplusTutorials makes sense, but still interested waterproof or not :) I have a 5m strip laying around ready to be installed, but I prefer your method then using the tape.
      A rail to put the strip in would preserve and protect the strip and make it easier to remove or replace etc.
      thx

    • @digitalmesh
      @digitalmesh 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      but indeed found them on their site 'Led strip profielen' wasn't aware of the naming :)

      @TriplusTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@digitalmesh I don't think waterproof profiles exist, they might but not sure.
      Hope it was at least of some help, for me I'm installing all my led strips indoor for now so no need for waterproof :)

    does anybody know an alternative for Phoscon for ZHA?

  • @PCOJames

    What power supply did you need? 12v I'm guessing? How many amps?

    • @TriplusTutorials
      @TriplusTutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      12V yes. Amps will depend on the length of your LED strip. A 5M Ledstrip would require at least 6Amps if I'm not mistaken. There are calculators online that will indicate the amps you need/amount of LEDs & type :).
      EDIT: running on 24V

      @@y0rkiebar You are a 100% correct. Seems I miss saw something when I initially replied to this comment (might have been checking a different LED strip).

    where can i get a connector cable like that?

    • @TriplusTutorials
      @TriplusTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any led strip shop should have it in stock. Aliexpress/Amazon/banggood also have them. Just make sure you get a connector with the same mount of cables as your led strip (2,3,4...) channels

      As it's a Zigbee controller you would need a compatbile Zigbee hub (e.g. Ikea tradfri, philips hue, ...) I use a phoscon/deconz zigbee usb stick controlled via home Assistant for this.

    • @donutworld750
      @donutworld750 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TriplusTutorials can you add the Gledopto controller to Home Assistant without the stick? Another integration? The Gledopto is the same one in your video. It's throwing out a 2.4Ghz signal.

    Is there a tutorial on "how to connect with ALEXA"?

    • @TriplusTutorials
      @TriplusTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not have an alexa device, but if you want to use this controller with Alexa you need a compatible hub to do so.

    • @y0rkiebar
      @y0rkiebar 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you get an Alexa device with a built in Zigbee hub (there are quite a few Alexa devices now with this) then you should be able to control the strip via Alexa. Failing that, it works with a Hue hub.
