I've got 3 1" binders full of Philippine coins, including about 20 of the 1903-1912 pesos. Also a number of Philippine coins while under Spanish rule, dating back to the 1700's. I recently bought 1904-S and 1905-S pesos. Also, I have all the proof sets from 1975-1981, if you look at how low the mintage numbers are, you'll understand their rarity. I think there is a great deal of potential with Philippine coins overall, and like with US coins, there are different pockets to specialize in. Another one with a great story are the 1936 pesos and 50 centavos coins, I have those as well. Very low mintages. Many of those are "sea salvaged," as they were dumped in Manila bay to keep them out of the hands of the Japanese when they invaded the country. What a great story. Overall, very collectible, and I hope more people will take a closer look. Thanks for covering these historic coins!
