I love a good indiana blade combo on spinnerbaits in all water except super clear water on sunny days. Then i like double willow. Like Mr Clunn said its all about water disturbance and double willows dont do much water disturbance but have flash.
Try that tandem blades one big willow and a smaller colorado… the Berkley blue gill color with that matte green blade is very good. I noticed the bigger fish like that colorado thump

I sent my mom her usual gift card to a greenhouse. She is already coming to town tomorrow to spend it perfect weather. My dad meanwhile is stuck at home painting the garage. It's gonna be Green Bay Packers colors. That is his Mother's Day present to my mom.
I tried to order one but I was too slow for the Frank limited lure. I did get some of those same frogs, love the colors. Also, thinking I should go order some of the bone colored lures if you say they work.

For me...when ever I run into some extra cash that I plan on buying tackle with, something always comes up and I end up spending it elsewhere...this last time around, I had $600 set aside for tackle, but it all went towards fixing up and upgrading my trailer, some new metal battery trays and a new reel ...still happy about the purchases though....since it was fishing related. Great video brother.
Ive lost two squarebills in three years lol i find it hard to hang them up when running them with the right techniques. Now before i lesrned those techniques i lost a bunch 😂.
I fish some bigger chunk rock, and I believe they go between a couple and get stuck underneath. I work on em with a lure retriever but can never free them up.
@@TackleJunky81 ughhh that sucks. What I do at the river with the big rocks is as soon as it makes contact I stop retrieving and allow the squarebill to back out. I try to make them skim the tops of rocks, pausing at every contact them starting back up. I've caught 100s of bass on that pause and floating up lol. A lot of people pop or keep reeling when they hit the rocks and that's generally a bad idea lol that's when you get hung up way more. You're like me though we both love a squarebill and throw them more than most people so it's bound to happen some 🤷♂️😂. Last one I lost was in a dang underwater barbed wire fence I didn't realize was still there after 50 years 😂. I hooked that bad boy really good and ended up breaking my line 😂.
@@TackleJunky81oh I also don't grind mine on the bottom often. I like to keep them just off the bottom and bounce off a rock or stomp. But I do get all up in some wood with mine lol. Not every squarebill is ideal for what I like to do with them 😂.
@blind_eye_fishing I hear ya brother! 😂 Another issue I have is they duck hunt on the lakes that I fish and they leave all their weights and rope behind in the water and I'm constantly getting snagged in the ropes.
