That was a great QA, with some very nice sneak peaks at 1.1 features. :-D I've been enjoying Ara since alpha. It is completely it's own thing and stands out from all other games I've played in the genre. While it is already a lot of fun to play, it also has a lot of room for expansion and improvement. 1.1 is looking really good, and I am excited how it progresses. :-)
So thrilled about the true earth map. It would be amazing to have realistic resource locations as well but I'm sure a modder could cover that. You've done a cracking job here! Keep it coming.
So - all the player feedback has been redundant because everything the players have asked for was already planned but just didn't make it into launch...? That seems ... unlikely.
Thank you! I like the comments about food. It would be nice to have more food amenities so that can serve as bait for new players to specialize in food, but also give players more flexibility in what they are making.
Technology is advancing so fast that there is no time for anything. I'm ignoring special buildings to train AI. In the game, the balance between construction and building and the increase in the desire of people to multiply extremely quickly is very bad and overstraining, there is no time for anything. 😢
This sad trend is rising back after civ 3 and Call of Power 2. More speed run History less Epic. Legend and Mystery need Time. I still remember the must I played Call of Power 2 and Civ 2 it was so Memorable.
Hey HLBRK here. I want to say first off I really love the look of the new update 1.1! I think maybe I didn't convey my idea very clearly. I don't know if I am just bad at the game or what, but I seem to be building way too many farms. Is it normal to have 4+ entire territories of farms in every city? I still have questions about food but this would clear things up quite a bit.
I love this game but could someone please put in the map edge scrolling for navigation. I'm surprised more people are not raising this issue since it makes navigating the map so much easier. I don't know where to go to tell the Dev team so I'm kind of lost on making my voice heard. Two other 4X games that I purchased did not originally have this function but the Devs later on put it into the game. I'm not sure why gaming developers suddenly stopped using this.
World Age is a map setting in Civ. Ara doesn't have it (though I have been asking for settings to control amounts of rivers and mountains in Ara's Discord).
When you are crafting the plus sign in the box should turn green when there is resource available that can be used in that slot and maybe the border of the box turns yellow when a resource can be replaced with something else. Not sure if just having a national economy screen is going to solve this annoying issue.
The Gathering Hall falls off over time. The Town Halls are very nice and the Gathering Hall starts to be somewhat lame. I'd rather use the space for another building in later acts.
Nice to have a true earth map coming. Thank you!!!
Yewssszzsss

RE: Map seeds (around 8:50) Can you view map seeds after a game start, not just at the generation screen? If not that should be added.

True map is good but I hope terra map mode for map generation will be available at later down the line as well

Woo! Well done
There are some things they should fix but the game has great potencial
Wild to have such a big mechanic (religion) and just have it buried and hidden

Steven Bell! I follow him on tiktok!
Finalmente mapa da terra ,sentir falta de um sistema para vassalagens ate agora foram 300 horas de diversão .
Looks like Matt didn't even have time to shave between last time and now
Still too much screen bloat. Basically, it's a mess.
This is a great game, no more Civ for me, keep it up
Please allow military units to upgrade
The game need to upgrade the graphics a little bit
Great Q&A! Loving the game and super excited for the update.

Very disappointed about the state released is like so often it's in early access phase then 1.0 game. I hope it's cooked until next year.
