I loved your video on the five living room layouts. Maybe you could do one on the best layouts and fixtures for different-sized bathroom spaces. I love the wet room concept, too, but don't have the space for it. It would be interesting to know how big a bathroom needs to be to have a separate tub and shower, rather than combined, and not feel cramped, or whether double sinks vs. extra counter space makes sense for various bathroom sizes. Your designs and recommendations are beautiful and I also appreciate your practical insights.
So good to hear you talk about your design services. I really enjoyed our session. 😊 My question is how do you supervise the waterproofing in the bathroom? No idea what to look for. I need steps 😂
great tips! I just re-did my bathroom without a designer. I got it mostly right because I watched so many TH-cam videos like yours... love it! so helpful. and yes on dimmable lights in the bathroom. I also added a light under my floating vanity...works great for a subtle moody light. what are your thoughts about a beveled mirror to the ceiling above the vanity in a small bathroom without a window? how about hooks vs towel bars? which is best?
I am in the middle of a build out. Without an architect and designer. And i made it think mistakes 1-8. I just spent a small fortune on Redi mix pitching my shower floors. All these a great points
Hi Nina. This was helpful! Thank you! 🩷 Both of my bathrooms are small so my biggest dilemma is how to add in decor that is proportion in size and elevates the bathrooms. Not sure how you feel about faux flowers but I would love if you did a video discussing your recommendations on the best faux flowers. Also what is the rule on how to incorporate more than one type of floral arrangement in the same room?
If the shower liner is sewn to the fabric curtain I suggest leaving the portion from tub (or slightly above) to floor is NOT sewn so you can have the liner inside the tub when in use keeping the water in the tub and the fabric outside so it doesn't get wet and then it also still looks chic/ finished from outside the tub.
My favorite decorating channel and person. 💗 100K right around the corner! I have a powder room that is a blank white slate in my new home by the ocean. I am going to paint the walls with an ocean blue pattern on the white walls and call it good until tax season is over! After that, if the taxman leaves me solvent, I would like to replace the door fronts on the floating vanity, maybe change out the mirror and sconces.
Every designer always says 'keep away from the trend' or 'keep things classic' but the problem is that normal people don't know what's a trend and what's classic. This is just like when a chef says something is easy to make, but to a person that doesn't cook it is difficult. So is is helpful that you gave give actual examples with photos.
I just stumbled across this channel. I love the idea of floating toilet, sink, and wall mounted faucets. I am struggling with the tub shower toilet layout. It snows where we live so no enclosure is too cold, what are your thoughts? Thank you!
I just did all of what you mentioned and highly recommend!! esp if you have a smaller bathroom. it makes cleaning so much easier and modernizes the space. love it!
Awesome!! Loved it all. I am guilty and doing fluted cabinets in my powder room and in some other areas of the new construction. now im re-thinking it. rifted white oak cabinets reeded.. am I making a mistake????
LOVE THIS CHANNEL! Here’s my issue! If you only have one small bathroom in a private home, is it a bad idea to remove the tub and only have a shower? If you keep the tub what would you suggest for glass doors? I like the half glass look but will it be sufficient in holding the water from splashing out.
A lot of people shy away from using tubs. However, when it’s time to sell your home, the buyer might actually love using tubs and would potentially require one. Hence, I always say if you remove a tub, keep a potential place for it with the plumbing in place so that when you do sell your house, you could point out that there is a spot for the tub and the plumbing is all done
Hi Nina, I came across your page looking for help in my bathroom renovation ideas. I am having a hard time deciding what to use for my shower surround. Do not want to use marble since it will be a rental in a couple of years. I was thinking porcelain 24x48, but not sure between Matt or polished. I really want the space to stay timeless. Idea?. Thank you so much😊!!
Would you always put in a swing door over a cavity slider (pocket) into a bathroom? I don't need it as a slider, but that's what's on the plans atm. I'm told a swing door is more elevated. Thoughts? :))
Are floating cabinets worth the extra cost in upgrades? I noticed your bathroom does not have them and you did mention you where looking for a new house.
It really depends on the style of your home and what you are trying to achieve. However, if you’re on a budget and prefer to save money, I would go ahead and forgo the floating cabinet. There are instances where you can find great deals on floating cabinets as well. ❤️
Couldn't you avoid the problematic sloping in the bathroom by installing a bathtub or shower bottom? I live in Bulgaria, and have lived in lots of apartments here. None have ever been properly sloped. Even if it is a brand new building, the water will go anywhere except down the drain.
I was enjoying your video until you began discussing what you are wearing! Why? If I wanted to have my male workers watch the video I am now unable to do so. Loss of credibility.

Yes Nina …. All of your education, experience, knowledge was what you do best in this bathroom video

These are great videos. I like your style better than most of the other interior designers, so your advice is consequently more appropriate for me.
Great ideas. Thanks a bunch! Planning a home now and these tips are super helpful.
Yay so so glad.
Can you show us samples of beautiful bathrooms? I’m trying to remodel my master bath but can’t find anything I like. Thank you in advance
Great idea!

I'm trying to figure out the decor/art in my new bathroom too (with no window). not sure how to style it properly. doh!

Which wall mount toilets do you like for fellow ocd people? Best flushers and ones that remove debris?

Thanks! Good suggestion.
Best TH-cam channel I follow. Full stop. Another really informative episode. Thank you Nina❤️❤️.
Wow, thank you!

Lovely outfit as always
You are so kind
Nina, how can I get assistance with the layout of a master bathroom? So hard to know if my decisions are the best use of the space.
How can one play with mixed media in a bathroom. Can the bath fittings be nickel and cabinet handles, light fixtures brass?

Redoing a house with 5 bathrooms! I want a dramatic powder room for guests on main level. Is wallpaper okay there?
Yes, Wallpaper in a powder room is the best idea!!
Question here, you said you don’t recommend wall paper for the bathroom, but how about a powder room?
I need help styling my bathroom countertop. I think I’ve got way too much going on. Lol

What is with all the hate for overhead lighting??? Sheesh! Am I the only person who likes lots of light?
😂🤣 sorry there are great products and so much advancement that I want to make sure we all have access. ❤️
No you are not! I want lots of light in every room
❤this
Thank you for watching
