QUADRI: the documentary

This film documents the restoration of Quadri, the 18th century coffeehouse and restaurant located in St. Mark’s Square. The Alajmo brothers, current proprietors of Quadri, commissioned the film in order to shine light on the work carried out by the talented Venetian artisans who were able to bring the original beauty and poetry back to this incredible place.
Philippe Starck, director of the restoration, affirms: «Quadri was extraordinary, but it was a little tired. We simply looked for its wonders, and we discovered a wonderland.»
