@@lloydvehicleconsulting solid quality, alive dynamics, reasonable to run and all the real world equipment needed, yes please, who needs lane departure etc 😩
Lots of people seem to absolutely love these, and I do understand why! Definitely fun to drive, quite practical and still not particularly expensive at all the moment. Thank you again for watching, sir!
Absolute peak BMW. That, in my opinion, is what the E46 is. The styling, quality, comfort and dynamics all hit that sweet spot. If I were buying a BMW it would be a 1986 635 CSi or an E46. I did almost buy a 2003 E46 318i Touring but it was just that little bit light for towing my caravan at the time. It would, however, have been a perfectly balanced and practical 2 litre Sports Executive Estate with jaw dropping good looks. I may yet buy an E46 though to enjoy at weekends.
Aaah this is the body type I should have bought. The six cylinders, both petrol…. and the one I had….. are unburstable. With mine, the car fell apart but the engine was fine. These were made when a small estate was actually small. An Astra estate is now 40cm longer than this.
Sir, glad you enjoyed the video! I remember the one that we are unable to discuss on the channel.... This one was most definitely a fantastic way to travel. Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting!
Thank you for this video! Such a car would be available in very good condition in New Zealand! I always thought that these station wagons were glorified hatchbacks so it is a surprise to see how much usable space there is!
Thank you for doing the review Joseph. It was fun to be involved and to watch you in action again. I have now removed the original light grey mats and the black backup set is back in use. The sand and mud from the car park came off OK! For anyone considering having their car reviewed by you on this channel, I can thoroughly recommend it. Your driving ability and car sympathy are such that I would gladly trust you with my cars. That is not a complement I give very often.
You are very kind, sir, I wasn't very good on the track last week, so it is good to know that I am still adequate on the road. I very much enjoyed this well maintained, low mileage E46 in excellent condition with the original floor mats.
No problem at all, sir! I am blessed that kind people sometimes actually offer to bring their lovely cars to me for review, which is always a pleasure.
Excellent review, MR. Lloyd, I remember working in a dealership when these were new, and I was deeply impressed with the quality and solid feel of the E46s.
@lloydvehicleconsulting No, they were very good cars pre face-lift, just the right amount of technology and luxury with usual BMW build quality, plus they drove very well. The 3.0 engine we can't talk about was a game changer at the time.
Rather better than one I briefly owned (unmentionable) not my best purchase, drove great, many other issues ☹️
Thank you for your self-censorship, sir!
Peak BMW, we had a 320 facelift and as a car, literally, why would you need anything further?
Even Mr Coleman likes them, and that is saying something!

If you have one in this condition, sir, it's worth hanging onto it!
A excellent review Sir, another car that i need to add to the bucket list to drive or own.
Peak era of BMW for me.

They have a nice E46 Convertible for sale at Barons Classic Car Auctions this week, sir...

Engine is almost located mid-front like a TVR.
Yes, that sounds a bit right.

They are very different in character from the saloon models, but still excellent to drive.
I've been looking for a clean one here in NZ for a year and no luck
Nice, I currently own two BMW e46 330i tourings, both 6 speed manual, one is SE and the other is M Sport.
Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting, you clearly know these cars far better than me.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting The review was spot on, the points mentioned on the test drive are exactly what I think as well.
Thank you very much indeed, glad I got it right!

Very, very tidy considering its age. Always nice to see a well looked after vehicle. Thank you, sir!

What a beautifully preserved vehicle Sir and another lovely review.

They weren't bad cars back in the day, were they, sir?
