Lauren im 68 and I cry every time I hear Spring Day it just connects with me on so many levels. All of us who have lost somebody can relate.
Lauren, I am glad you cried, it really shows that your emotions and connection to this song is real and for those who are hating on you or making fun of you because you cry they have no conscience or emotional connection with this song ! this song is about lost& memory of friends! And I cry every time I hear this song and I’ve been an ARMY since 2013 since BTS‘s debut and this song still pulls at my heart strings!!! Let’s all appreciate this song no matter how it affects us let’s be respectful to all those who who feel the emotion of this song! Honestly none of the guys are afraid or ashamed to cry so why should we be afraid to cry or shame other ARMYs for crying when the music really affects them. I have a few of their songs that I cry or at least tear up every time I hear them.
I cried to Spring Day even yesterday. I'm having a really rough time right now so yeah... And then the news came on and talked about Ukraine and I just started bawling all over again. 😭💔💜

For me, it was difficult to unlearn my blocking mechanisms (my journey started with BTS), being vulnerable is incredibly hard and takes so much courage! So probs for being so open with us. Borahae💜 Lots of love😘
Exactly. I'm like that too. To be honest, I never cried while hearing a bts 'song cause of this blocking mechanism, my armor is still strong, I just have this lump in my throat sometimes. When I saw Lauren's first reaction to Spring Day, I saw immediately that she wore the same armor. I'm happy she was able to let the emotions flow through it today.
You guys should watch their Festa Room Live they have a little more space to dance and you see a wide verity of their songs in the medley. Songs from 2014 to now. !!!!

music, especially BTS's music, is so therapeutic cuz the lyrics sometimes explains our emotions better than we can. and i really believe that after crying and letting it out honestly, it really does help to heal little by little.
Spring day will do that to you every time. I think almost every army has listened to it with tears. There's so much feeling and emotion in this song, and it applies to so many things for people, loss, grief, missing someone. For me it always reminds me of my mom I lost 4 years ago. So your reaction is totally relatable Lauren. The whole tinydesk was awesome though, the singing so good by all of them, and the band is great! Usuallly BTS's backingband is Ghost. Lauren, you an do this, you've got this, and it's OK to weep when you hear Spring Day. In fact it may be obligatory. It might be The Law.
I have a comfortable little life, not the best health but ongoing working on that (ish), a few things on my mind, but despite ongoing depression for decades, mentally OK. All my great griefs are years old, and I'm able to look back and celebrate rather than be flooded with that sense of loss. So there is no deep well of pain that I feel rise up and overwhelm me here.
Still ... Every Single Time I hear even the first bar of Spring Day, the tears come.
I refuse to feel any shame, or to apologise. I think this is a gift, and tears are a blessing. Tears come are so easily to me because I had to learn an unhealthy response to pain - I block it and "deal with it", and can appear very strong. So I always think that my tears are healthy, since they release a tension I may not be aware of. It can be confusing to others, this ability to quietly weep, and at the same time listen calmly and think logically. That can also be a strength.
I know so many people who are unable to listen to Spring Day without weeping. We are in good company!
I NEEDED someone to cry with today. So THANK YOU for not self-editing. Life feels like a mess and frankly it has been a mess for me, and these 7 angels are literally all I feel like I have some days. Seems extreme, but it’s true. Sending love and appreciation for both of you. Borahae 💜

Lauren I cried with you. They wrote that song in memory of 304 people mostly students who died in a tragic and sadly preventable ferry disaster in Korea. The government tried to hide the true facts behind the sinking but were eventually all caught and prosecuted by the perseverance of family members It was very courageous of BTS to sing about this as many artists who had tried were blacklisted before the corruption was discovered Love your heart 💜
The song started from how RM felt about missing his friends back home after he moved to Seoul. The music video came later and parts of that are about the ferry sinking. There are also references to the movie Snow Piercer and a novel.

This song is about loss. I love that RM and Suga wrote it so that it is about the feelings and experience of loss, not a specific situation. So it touches everyone who has experienced missing someone. For me, it reminds me of when my husband was a soldier and would be gone for months. I didn't know when he would be back, if he would come back healthy, or even if he would come back alive. And it reminds that I'm not alone, that other people have experienced the same pain.
Spring Day was the song that made me an ARMY back in March/April 2020. Life was difficult for everyone around the world and BTS came into my life when I needed them the most 💜.
I went to LA for one of the concerts and they happen to perform Spring Day and I couldn’t hold my emotions together 😭
No matter what happens in the future, BTS has truly changed my life for the better and I’m so grateful to be part of ARMY 💜

I started crying because she was crying. With the Ukraine war going on I started thinking about so many people being torn apart from their loved ones and will long for them.
BTS have so much power that everything they do connects to people, not only to ARMYs. I never knew that there will come a time that I will be able to witness beautiful people that resembles angels yet humane. Makes you shed tear but still leaves you smiling. Tells you about pain and loneliness and still you feel secured and relieved. They are incredible. Really really amazing people.💜💜💜
This song always reminds me of my best friend who passed tragically and I miss her all the time. My father passed within the same year (and my grandmother, but I wasn’t as close to her) and dealing with loss, Bangtan helped me more than I can say.

Lauren, I don’t know what happened with your sister, but I was crying with you before she was mentioned. After, I cried even harder. My sister and her husband died in a motorcycle accident six weeks after my last visit to the US in 2006. I was thinking of her just before I decided to watch your reaction. I was only 13 months older than her and we grew up being best friends. People often thought we were twins. Thank you for your honest feelings and for permitting me to cry with a woman who also feels sorrow over her sister. You are loved. 💜

i just recently lost my older brother just a week ago...and honestly spring day snd stay alive are my comfort song those days...cant go back home since im working ocean apart from my family and the situation makes it too hard for me to go home even though i really do want to go home...i cant cry while calling them cos i dont want them to think about my situation here ..thats why everytime i finish my work and finish calling my family i instantly play those two song...to release my emotion

Omg this was so cute, they had me dancing and sing along to the three songs, the choice of songs sent e from being happy to sad and i went in a roller coaster of emotions.
DynAMIte had me singing and dancing along and i so wanted to be that vinyl record so badly.
Save Me had me in my feelings as i was smiling along, swaying and also Jimin, Tae and Jungkook dancing along to the chorus had me laughing so much.
Spring Day i had a tear in my eye thru that song and the vocals during it had me in my feelings so badly.

I understand Lauren.😔 We just spread my older sister’s ashes at sea on Monday, February 28th. It was sad and beautiful at the same time. She loved the ocean. This song has new meaning for me now. We’ve lost so many loved ones these past few years especially. I personally lost my father and father-in-law within months of each other in 2020 and now my sister and a brother-in-law in 2021, within weeks of each other. My prayers go out to all those experiencing loss of any kind of a loved one. 🙏🏼💜
