Been five years but the Bolt is as popular if not more so now than back then. A lot of folks looking for better handlebars that use all stock equipment. These meet those needs so thanks so much for posting the video back then. Great job!
Edgar.... I was expecting more cushioning from the Avon air grips... I don't think there is a huge difference compared to the stock in terms of comfort,
Great video. Probably one of the more thorough and better ones I've watched. I purchased a pair of Baron H Bars myself. Question during your install. Did you perform all the work while bike was just resting on the kickstand?
Good video man! Do you have any pictures of you sitting on the bike with the new bars? Im doubthing to buy this bar also but i have an ABS model... Does that fit also?
@jrsandiego- compared to stock, do the barons have more of a pullback? I feel like I'm having to lean forward with my arms almost over reaching with the stock...especially on tight turns.
I am 5’8”.... I didn’t feel stretched with the stock set-up... with the baron bars my arms are up a little so they kinda hang... pretty comfy ride.. my commute is only 10 miles ea. way... so I have no reference for how it would be on longer rides..
Sorry I don’t remember the exact size... I just made sure when I placed my order with SS Custom Cycle that they included the hardware.. I would give those folks a call to confirm hardware sizes
Have you found out the exact measurements for the hardware? Mine didn't come with any after I specifically asked to include hardware. Not getting any answer back. Cheers!
Here is a link to the guys who have installed them using the stock hardware.. www.yamahastarbolt.com/mods-and-accessories/baron-h-handlebars-before-and-after-pics/msg286640/#msg286640
Question i have a C spec Yamaha bolt, but my brake my asselerator handle are abit smaller so i cant use my stock ones. Do you or anyone know what size do i need to get to fit this handlebar its a Baron custom handle bar
I copied this from the Yamaha Bolt forum... hope it helps!! Well I received my H-bars from Revzilla, but no hardware was included. I contacted Baron and they told me the bolt size is 1/2 - 13 x 2.5. They said any hardware store will carry them. I did not ask for washer size, but I'm sure I can figure that out once I found the bolts.
@@jrsandiego thanks a ton for the info. My wife emailed revzilla and they said the stock riser mounting bolts will work for these bars. I'm going on a big ride this evening so won't be able to tear into the project until tomorrow to see if this is true. If stock ones won't work, I'll buy the ones you've quoted from the forum. Thanks again!!!
Update: got everything taken off the stock bars, that bracket is a massive pain to remove. Anyway, stock riser bolts dont work. Thumbs down for revzillas knowledge about the products they sell. Headed to hardware store now to get mounting bolts.
@gigglyminer72 yes, get the hardware quoted from the forum (1/2 - 13 x 2.5) and you'll be golden. I've since sold the bike to a colleague but he still has the bars 4 years later. They look great.
I just installed these and found your video very useful. My throttle is sticking a bit, especially when turned to the right. Did you have this problem at all? If I need to reroute cables I will, I just can’t figure out where it’s hanging up.
Bscorpio19' I don't have a pic of me with the bars but here is a link with someone else. www.yamahastarbolt.com/general-yamaha-star-bolt-discussion/gopro-video-i-made-on-my-bolt-in-downtown-vegas/msg61221/#msg61221

Thank you for watching!!
😊
Great video. I’ve ordered some for my Bolt, I’ll be watching your video the entire time I install them. Thanks man.
Thanks for the video. If I were to keep the original grips, I don't need to remove the throttle cables, correct?
Would someone need to remove the tank to replace the throttle cables or can you get to them without removing it?
Edurado... All stock cables... I did move/arrange them so that there was very little tension on the when I turn the handle bars left and right.
Great video. Just watched it the second time. Barons came in the mail yesterday, so I might be able to install this weekend.

Those handlebars look awesome!!! I’m ordering some for my bolt.

I used a motorcycle jack.
Is the glue included when you buy the grips?
Hello its big difference between Avon Air than the stock grips?
just ordered mine, cant wait to put em on! great video!
Hi, love the look of these bars. Do you have an ABS model? I do and I've read because of it I won't be able to install these handlebars... :'(
Good video man! Do you have any pictures of you sitting on the bike with the new bars? Im doubthing to buy this bar also but i have an ABS model... Does that fit also?
did you have to get line extensions
Nope.. Stock cables.

Thanks for the video man. Ws curious about process for removal of bars for new ones.
Hey dude you use all the cables stock and no problems?
Good video man helped out quite a bit!
All i need are 2) washers, 2) lock washers and 2) 1/2 in-13 x 2 1/2"hex bolts right?

looks great. how long did it take.
@YamahaFreshLaws... It took about 2-3hrs.... I took my time doing it...
Do the h bars give a more comfy riding position. I'm looking for a more upright riding positio
For me the H bar position is more comfortable than stock... I am 5'8" to kinda give you a reference ...
Thanks! I think I’m going to get them.
Great video.Took about 3hrs.

I honestly wouldn't know what length you will need... I would look at the yamahastarbolt forums...
jrsandiego kool thank man
The glue for the Cam comes with the grips.
Anyone know what the specifics on the mounting hardware is? Of course Revzilla sent me these without hardware...

I haven't had any problems with my throttle cable sticking... I would make sure the cable is properly routed in the guides in the throttle housing..
Loosen up the throttle cable, leave more slack .. thats solves it
What size bars are those?
27" wide, 7" rise, 6" pull back
Thank u for making the vid🙏
Very nice bars. I'm liking them actually.
27" wide, 7" rise, 6" pull back
