Awesome work Joe. Very very nice job. You’ve referred to me, my advice & even included me in one of your videos but this work is all on you brother. I couldn’t have done better. After 30+ years I’ve been asked by literally hundreds of people for advice or teaching my standard answer is “I suck at teaching” but you my friend might make me reconsider that if my small influence has helped create this kind of job. You always ask the right questions, you listen to my answers & decide if they will work for you or not, & then you apply your own experience to what I’ve passed on. That can make any teacher or mentor look good so thank you for that brother. Got 3 more things for you to look at in your video & think about. 1. Minimize passes over dead space or masked areas. Creates more over spray that can turn into trash & it stirs surfaces or air that can release trash. Specifically, your passes over the cowl should have went with the length of the cowl not across the length. (Left hand). 2. Plastic is a great masking tool but never next to a painted surface. Plastic was fine to covering engine compartment but should have overlaid at least 12” paper next to painted surfaces. Paint will stick to paper, it will not to plastic so every pass releases the overspray debris from previous coats potentially causing trash. And 3. LEARN TO USE THAT LEFT HAND. God wouldn’t have given you one if He didn’t intend you to us it. GREAT WORK COMES FROM GREAT EFFORT. You planned this job to be good, you put in the work for it to be good, and the finished product is great. Very proud of what you’ve done on this job. You’ve been around me enough to know my praise doesn’t come often and isn’t given freely but you’ve earned it on this one.
Thank you Bryan for your added expertise. I agree that Joe was blessed with talent in all that he does on this channel. He’s done other work for us that was outstanding so that’s why we keep coming back to him for many projects. We have more to send him in the near future 😊
I'm envious! I can imagine how it must feel to see the car that has played a part in more than in 30 years of a man's life looking as good or better than it did when it was acquired back then. I would give anything to have my first car back and on the road to making a bunch of new memories like this one. Congrats to you for a job well done and Darren for having the fortitude to accomplish it's revival. May it live another 56 years!
Outstanding Job Joe! Really is a beautiful Red Baracuda! Darren should really be pleased. Certainly will be proud to drive this Classic Mopar. Your hard work on the body work really shows and certainly shines. Thanks for sharing the process. 👍🇺🇸👍
Hey 👋 MPR Joe, your videos have always been informative and entertaining. Easy to follow and understand. Love the multi tasking and results into the cars. Lord JESUS Christ bless you and your family always. Amen 🙏🏽
Beautiful job, Joe. Dare I say professional quality. Especially for a DIY paint booth. Can’t imagine how awesome it’s going to be once some final buffing is done.
Joe, that thing is nothing but the truth! That car is beautiful. I have a 67 and when I get mine done I hope it looks as good as that. Great job Brother!
Sweet! A little stuff and buff and she will be perfect. People that don’t paint have no idea just how much work is involved or how stressful it is to get a banged up car to this quality of a finish. Beautiful job.
95% of people are just going to see a very nice looking Barracuda. I am impressed. I hope to do this with my 71 Nova sometime. With your abilities, I encourage you to do some transmission work on video. Either way Your channel is still always on my watch list. BTW I used to be 'Comet' now it's just my name.
Freaking unbelievable, that is so nice Joe, you really did justice to this beauty, gets to a point where your juggling not only giving a cool car a paint job but possibly screwing up a nice car with a so so paint job , but you clearly nailed this one, awesome job buddy 😀😀
Great job Joe !!! Man, you have no fear……and I admire that !! I’ve watch all the segments of this build, and you’ve done a great job !! I try to watch every one of you installments and just have to say, you are inspiring and love you authenticity. My wife and got to meet you, by chance, at a car show in Jacksonville. I seen the vanishing point, didn’t know it was yours until you walked up…… still unsure if it was you. I said Mopar,Joe… you said hey how’s it going !! Anyways, it was nice meeting you and I look forward to watching you continue to grow !
Thanks brother, glad you enjoy the build! I'm having a blast with it! Check out the NONamenationals in Sikeston this year and watch some races! They’ll be cars of all flavors there as well
Beautiful work Joe 👍 I’ve seen “professional jobs” that didn’t look that nice, the bright red really accentuates the laser straight body work. Thanks for taking us to the finish line…
Great looking job Joe. That's a big load off your shoulder getting it painted. Now just getting it all back together, keep up the good work Joe and take a break now.
Great job!! Too much clear is the right amount as all the trash, sags, runs you find can be sanded and buffed and will never show. Be proud of that fine job.
You put a LOT of work in to that car and it really shows. I dont know how you salvaged that beat up quarter panel (a lot of hard work) but it came out great. Great series and looking forward to seeing it go back together!!
Excellent work Joe, those gaps are spot on. I always spray the seams and hard to reach places first, that way you don't get over spray on the finish product. If you tried everything to get out the spray spatter then it is time for a New Spray Tip.
Painting cars is tricky business with so many variables! You mastered the mixing process and the results show with a beautiful paint job! Keep up the good work!
Beauty. 'A' body love. I just stuck my head out in the garage where my '69 fastbacks are waiting for me to start them on this same journey. What's going under the hood? Please be 340 4spd! You should be proud, no shop would ever love on a car like this at any price these days. The owner of this car is truly blessed. Cheers.
Thanks, it’s always nice to hear from another “A” body enthusiast! He is doing his first gen 3 hemi swap. You know I’m a wedge fanatic, and he is too. But he wanted to experiment with swapping his own car before offering the service to others. Silver lining is that it will be 600 horse with an over drive
THE FLASH TIME INTERVALS ARE VERY IMPORTANT, TO MUCH CLEAR AT ONE TIME WILL CAUSE RUNS !!! HOWEVER BEAUTIFUL RESULT , I HAD A 68 CONVERTIBLE IN THE SAME COLOR , THESE ARE THE BABY BROTHER CAR TO THE PLYMOUTH SATELLITE OF THE SAME YEAR IN 1968 , I AM LOOKING FOR A FORMULA S 383 FASTBACK !! CHEERS 🥂!!!
All the clearcoat runs and sags can be fixed. Looks great red. Proper rims and tires will make or break the fish’s stance and looks. I had a 67 notchback once. I loved the buckets and console shifter. These mopars are easy to make fast because they’re so light weight. I added a 842 rear with 4:11 gears, which really felt good with the built 340 combo I had. One of the cars I wished I still had. Mine had the original banana yellow paint and not a ding or rust spot anywhere.
Great job after all that prep work ,looking to shiny, 😂 guna be a great little rig when you finished, certainly streamline that paint, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
There's no bigger sense of accomplishment than when the paint is done, yeah it's nice when the engine you've built runs good but it can't compare with a good paint job that everyone can see whenever it's outside, well done Joe...

Thanks for sharing the process. 👍🇺🇸👍
Thanks Ed. It’s been a labor of love! Darren will definitely be happy with it
All the work you put into this paid off in spades. A backyard shop paint job that is as nice as a professional body shop. Beautiful work sir.

Very inspiring!! Nice work, Joe! Now I feel like I really should go after my own car in need of bodywork and paint
I think it’s always a good time for a new project! This one makes my racecar look pretty rough. I may have to sand her down soon
Looks great pal! Especially to not have a paint booth. Body work is immaculate!
