This is not dandruff. This is psoriasis. Big difference.

My heart goes out to those who suffer from psoriasis. Thank you to the hairdresser who has patience to help them.

The comb prolly feels great getting rid of the flakes.

    Я только не могу понять!
Дома, нельзя этого самому делать? Сидишь и вычесываешь! 🤷 Что сложного?😮

Very interesting looking flakes, look like semolina or ground rice painted on skin. Flakes that are not stuck on the skin but nevertheless, it is satifying to see the huge flakes that lift off so easily and leave such healthy looking skin under and so little residue in the hair! Someone suggests it is candlewax but that doesn't look like wax plus wax tends to stick tenaciously.

The head is treated with oils to loosen up the plaques and make them easier to comb out, otherwise the scalp would bleed. I used to have scalp psoriasis among others, and it was a pain in the ass to deal with. I can't imagine how he can just let it grow like that without picking it all out.

And you can see how the hair grew through the scales.

This is real. It’s caused by an autoimmune disease and can regrown in just a couple of days! My own Goethe r has this - although not quite as severe. It’s a terrible, disease to have. There is no cure.

Dermatitis is dreadful. In the US there are so many accessible treatments for ending this condition for good. These must not be readily available in this country and all sufferers can do is get periodic comb-outs. 😢

This is NOT wax or flour. It’s real and caused by an auto immune disease. My own brother has it. If you look closely, you can see, the hair has grown through the flaking skin. It’s a terrible disease to have and there is no cure.

Okay not to talk any shit or nothing but if it was me I would set my head on fire. You're obviously using the wrong shampoo. Update... Okay so I've been doing a little research and this only happens in areas of the world (south east asia) where there is extremely high humidity and there is improper or inadequate soap to help wash the grease and oil off the skin. He needs a shampoo with salicylic acid. And he needs to wash his hair every single day. I know this because my son has dermatitis on his scalp which causes a lot of dandruff. But when he hits it with the shampoo everyday that problem all but goes away.

No, with all due respect - this is caused by an autoimmune disease. It has nothing to do with hygiene or washing of the hair. My own brother has this and we are not if Asian origin. We are Caucasian. It’s a terrible disease to have. There is no cure and some shampoos can make it even worse. The flaking regrows VERY quickly - like in a couple of days. It’s very hard and sad to have this.
