Thanks for the tips. I have been following this game for some time now and will buy it to myself for the Christmas. I hope it's playable on Steam Deck.
I unlocked the dungeon basically right away just to mine some ore and stumbled upon the challenge room thing, I thought I was dead but with every last one of my 8 blueberries and my trusty starter knife, I killed the spawners and then the mobs rolling the whole way through lmfao
I just bought the game a couple of minutes ago. It looks very interesting. I usually play games like Stardew Valley and am not so good at combat, but I'm hoping that I can handle it!
i bought the game 5 days ago and i'm maxed out everywhere i got addicted to this game and i'll be still play because you can build, farm, fish, brew so many things i love it
Just bought this game last week. I've been mining, building and foraging all over the starter island. Which control scheme do you use? The mouse style or WASD? I'm loving this game but I still don't know ANYTHING! lol
I'm stuck with the town upgrade where I need 450 of an item. To get a backpack large enough to hold 450, I need a life and a flash potion, and I have no idea how to make those. There is a sparkly powder image among the options on the alchemy table that I think is the key, but I have no idea what that is or where to get it.
Just downloaded this game and found your channel while looking for starter tips. Subscribed, because I am also an avid Base Builder. Subnautica, Satisfactory, Planet Crafter... my library is full of Early Access games along those lines. Looking forward to more of your content. Take care.
It's a great update, but ultimately, there is nothing new compared to previous version, besides the layout of island. I thought all the island would be procedurally generated, they are not. They are still hand-made, but just randomly placed. However, they implemented the map! Which works great. Great update but a tiny bit underwhelming
Well bummer that you're underwhelmed by the update. Personally, I find it different enough to feel like a new playthrough so am really enjoying it! I don't know how far you've played, but technically speaking there is a lot of new things: biomes, monsters, town system, skill tree, etc... I could go on. I guess I maybe see what you're saying, though, the core gameplay is "similar", but I disagree that there's nothing new.
@@BodinTheGreatGaming I just completed it. The prior version took aprox. 20 hours, this new version took aprox. 30 hours. Yeah I enjoyed the town upgrades, the skill/abilities, building houses for the shopkeepers. But ultimately, I did the exact same things as before, but now I am sailing around instead of just running around. And now the florist won't buy your flowers. They should be up-front with their sell/buy limits, so you don't make a huge flower field, just to not be able to sell it. Overall it's great, it's an improvement, it's better. But it still has some way to go IMO.
@@diligencehumility6971 I see what you're saying, sorry thought you meant that you couldn't sell at all. The game def needs more ways to make money, and I get it was pretty OP to make a massive flower farm and just sell that. Hopefully they'll add different ways to make money in the near future.
Over selling a game with the fake ecstatic emotion just makes ppl not want to buy it. Not to mention you missed soooooo much information actual gamers need

It’s playable! I was playing it the other day on my steam deck!
@@BodinTheGreatGaming Great! Thanks for the reply and have a great holiday season.
@@Halconyx you’re welcome! You too!
Amazing breakdown Bodin! Glad you're enjoying the new update :)
Great video! When you drag an item from your hotbar how do you get it back? Thanks
If it's a tool/weapon, you have to go back to a chest. If it's food/potion, then you can just go into your inventory!

thank you
Nice, been looking forward to this update
Simple and informative 👌
Tip: if you can find the sorcerer (like me), she's at the south of the town AT NIGHT

I use mouse, I made a bunch of guides for the game but if you have any specific questions please feel free to ask!
What about captain Marlin's sword? Are still any way to get?
Unfortunately that’s been removed at this time. Hoping they add those specialty swords back in at some point tho!

SPOILERS (recipe below):
Life Potion = Rose + Glass + Light Stone Dust
Flash Potion = Blueberries + Glass + Light Stone Dust
How do you get hardwood in game? I am trying to upgrade the village, but it is pretty ambiguous on how to get hardwood
Got to keep exploring! Look for the dark forest biome

Thanks for the sub! Yeah, I'm an engineer IRL so I LOVE base building games
@@BodinTheGreatGaming Probably enjoy Satisfactory then. Addicting as they come though, lol.
I Already killed the new boss but didnt get a map for a new dungeon . what should i do now 😅
Unlock all the new weapons? Build a MASSIVE home? 100% explore your map? The world is your oyster! haha

@@diligencehumility6971 I'm pretty sure that you can sell flowers to the florist, or do you mean other crops?
@@BodinTheGreatGaming The shopkeepers have a buy/sell limit, and for the florist its really low, like 30 flowers a day (you can sell at max)

Then don't buy it? haha I don't care what you do.
