Absolutely. Been doin' it solo since I was 17. I pay attention to my surroundings, I don't bring attention to myself, I eat my meals indoors, in my car, etc. I don't "broadcast" my soloness. NO big deal!
FYI: Set up as if Dave is there. A man suggested that single women should always have a pair of men's shoes at your front door,so a repairman will think husband might show up any minute ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

From a Truck Driver... You should run your Safety Belts through the handles of your Front Doors... Even us Big and Burly Truck Drivers do it for Our Safety...

@@LetsTurnItUpWorld Most think truck driving is seeing Our Country. Well, I'm almost 70 yrs old. We work a 14 Hr day where we drive for 11 Hrs = 600 mile. Then we go to a truck stop for a meal and shower. Go to sleep, and do it all over again for 3-4 weeks straight. So, we don't have any favorite places. Just very tight schedules to keep. No Fun... Please understand that driving a 75' rig where very few people understand how stressful it is... Not to mention our limitations and how dangerous it is to zip in and out around us. During a backup (because we have radio communications) you will see most of us line up in one lane or all take an exit. This is Not the time to think it's Safe to get inbetween us... (i.e. If we have a blowout it can take the entire side of a car off. I've seen where an Ford F250 gets rolled up like a jelly roll. We just lightly bump an RV, it will collapse like a deck of cards.) Even though it's Not our fault We have to live with the possibility that an entire family was killed... (We have families as well with feelings for their loved ones.) We see it all the time during storms with heavy rains and winds. Several people expect us to move over as you enter a freeway. But, we don't (not because we are rude.) but because you don't see the 3 cars on the other side of us. I'm sure you all experience the 3 or 4 cars racing down the freeway or the Rude Entitled person who doesn't care about anyone but themselves because they are driving very expensive car. Switching lanes with all of our Blind Spots in an attempt not to kill that idiot is a very dangerous thing for us to do for you and us. We Gratefully Appreciate it when you backup or make room, when we have to go around a tight corner. I'm sure when you are driving your bigger RVs you experience some tight corners as well. By the way... We want to be out with you. Full timing in our RV. So, we can find some favorite places. We really appreciate your TH-cam videos and all the work it takes to make them... Thank you so very much...

My husband and I use KOA quite a bit. We found one on a trip to Colorado where the hosts had a breakfast delivery. The next day was a travel day so we decided to do it. We signed for 7-8am. They showed up at 7:15 with scrambled eggs, bacon, hash brown and biscuits. It was amazing! Came back to say I LOVE peaches. On our last trip we made a trip through northern Georgia because I had to have peaches. They were so delicious!
My favorite vacation was in 2010 we stayed in a cabin for Christmas at Hidden Mountain resort. Christmas Eve it snowed 7 inches and was absolutely beautiful. I took all the fixings to cook my Christmas dinner at the cabin…..turkey, dressing and everything to go with it. It was a Christmas to remember.

My mom is taking here first solo trip from Idaho to Carson City NV to see her longtime childhood friend. My dad passed away in May of this year so she's getting out on her own. I'm making sure she bring water and checks in with me when she reaches her destinations. I might just get an RV at some point and start traveling solo myself and exploring the country and living the laptop life. Safe travels!

I did a five month, 45,000 mile trip with my dogs Elizabeth and Tiny. Tiny passed away on the trip, he was almost 17! I was hoping to leave in September however I need an emergency fund first!

A sole driver has to watch the road, plan for stops, plans for meals, look ahead for points of interest and drive, and drive unlike when there are two, one drives while the passenger does all the research and planning. I believe the women traveling alone are very skilled and strong yet flexible people. THANK YOU for sharing your experience.
Oh I miss that area, I've driven that road so many times and lived on the West Coast for so long. I had an RV for a year and a 1/2 driving cross country and working remote. But for the last about eight months I was between Palm Springs, Vegas and Arizona. What absolutely beautiful country. I love traveling solo, but it does sometimes seem very long when you're taking a three - or four hour drive. I learned what a great singer I am when I turn the music up loud...😅 Be safe and have a wonderful time.!
Unfortunately, I had to sell my rv a couple years ago due to a medical emergency. Been paying off that expense and trying to save so that next year I can buy a custom van and start traveling again. A lot of people don't understand when I tell them when i'm on the road and traveling.I feel like I can breathe. And oh my gosh, i'm saving people by not recording my singing....haha... You be safe out there Tanya... Hopefully I'll run in to you and Dave on the road next year after I get my van.
It use to be nectarines for me but peaches are better. Freezing for future use is so much fun. Taste so fresh much better than store bought frozen peaches. My favorite pie is peach.

We have stayed at the same place in Grand Junction, it was very nice. And we also drove out to get fresh peaches. I bought a large box and we had peaches for about a week. We took very much the same route you are. That was 2015. We have a photo album I made called "How We Ate and Drank Our Way Through Colorado". There are so many small breweries and pubs that every day we went to one and grabbed lunch either there or nearby. I documented it all.

Peaches near Grand Junction - - YES!!! My folks lived in Golden (CO) and drove over to that area for peaches yearly!!!
We have stayed at the same place in Grand Junction, it was very nice. And we also drove out to get fresh peaches. I bought a large box and we had peaches for about a week. We took very much the same route you are. That was 2015. We have a photo album I made called "How We Ate and Drank Our Way Through Colorado". There are so many small breweries and pubs that every day we went to one and grabbed lunch either there or nearby. I documented it all.
