Smh Zafina really got the short end of the stick in Tekken 8 for NO reason at all. People don’t want to recognize that because they hate playing against Zafina, but have the Gaul to play Hwo, Devil Jin/Jin, Lars or somebody. Almost the majority of the cast has overpowered bs that works for them, but not Zafina. I actually switched to Alisa until they REALLY do something for Zafina.
I'm dangerously close to quitting Tekken for the time being and enjoying other fighting games. It's been a constant uphill battle with her and I hate to say that. Zafina has been my ride and die but she hardly has anything going for her that justifies her spot on the roster (aside from her iconic stances). Her evasion is temperamental at best, her frames are horrible, her damage is the worst in the game and she no longer has the best movement in the game which robs her of her defining strength. Why play as her? Literally anyone else does everything she is suppose to do better than her. It's so depressing since this may be Zafina's last chance in the limelight and nobody cares. Everyone talks about how bad their main is. I seen people say Kazuya, Steve, Byran, Devil Jin are terrible online but no one is making noise for the most butchered character on the roster! Of course i will still play as her but her status in the game is not looking bright at all. I'm so burnt out with this game.
As a newbie to Tekken I love playing zafina but she does need some buffs to keep up with the rest of the cast. Still not abandoning her though. She’s too fun. I also feel like she’s actually forcing me to really learn the game mechanics instead of just cheesing through which I appreciate😅
Same! I stopped after fujin, she is missing a lot of tools (some deleted, some never got) that affect the way she copes in a lot of situations in T8. I main Jun but swapped Zafina sub for Azu as much as she struggles too shes got good tekken fundamentals that give her options.
@in3vitableTIMING yeah if don't have the fundamentals she's requires so much extra work. I don't consider myself a super great player which is why I've hit that wall. But wild how other chars get away with murder in comparison lol
Cant say I'm all that shocked. Zafina has gotten nothing but a raw deal in Tekken 8 on so many fronts.Jin can do the same thing right? He could parry her Rage drive in Tekken 7.
Lol I don't think that this is zafinas fault at all. It's definitely Leroy's. They made this character a joke after the patch with the parry buffs and now he can parry almost every move of each character. Leroy players now abuse this instead of playing the game 🤣

Yeah I stopped having fun with 8 after hitting Fujin lol. Taking a break for now. Zafina just stopped clicking with me which is a feeling that sucks.
