I mentioned it not comfortable in front of the camera taking, bro, honestly , did awesome! Seem confident and knowledgeable & seemed perfectly comfortable to me. Awesome content , awesome channel! Keep up the great work guys!
Those XT400s are clearly more suited to mud than trail riding and definitely not for rocks. The XTR370s did great but this is what they are made for. Thanks for the review.
Right. Think we did a better job explaining in the video description. Both tires are designed to be a multi-purpose tire. XT400 is a mud tire that you can use for more than just missing and the XTR370 are as close as you’re gonna get to an all purpose tire.
A lot of comments about wishing they had the 400's for 15" wheels. Video is a year old now but they have them out now. Just ordered my 35x10x15. Hopefully when needed, I can run lower tire pressures with my beadlocks and that will help performance out in certain situations.
I watched this video last night and I seen another one where you guys are climbing some hills and stuff. I never got to see that side of the park because when I went my brakes were not working good, and I was scared to go down that hill that is to the right as you go into the park and get to that big center clearing. anyway . I have to go find those hills and ledges you guys are goin up. I actually found your vids and channel from searching for reviews on those system 3 tires. I currently run 31x10.50 super swamper tsl, but those look a little more aggressive. Either way thanks for making these videos.
Great to hear it! The hill/ledges can be tricky to find at first but really easy to get to once you realize where they’re at. If you stay on the main path through the parking lot and will continue and lead you to an overflow parking/clearing. Take a right once you get to the clearing the the ledges will be right there to your right. We love the 370s!
@@slewcrewoffroad yeah I have a good idea of where they are at. I think 370s look like what I might run. they resemble a super swamper tsl with more voids and deeper tread depth. that might be the best all around tire for this area. i live by houston and general sams is probably the closest thing to rock crawling I will ever see, unless I go to marble falls.
Good video I have x3 64” and I’m thinking about going same set up as you with the 370 35”, but I was wondering if you did something to the clutches to be able to run those 35’s or you still stock?
Think I’m going to pull the trigger on some xt400s, 32-10-14 for more sidewall. We ride in the foothills of the mountains in Alberta and it’s mainly mud holes but is rocky so kinda need something that does both but better in mud
Went riding this weekend at Cross Bar Park in Davis Oklahoma. This guy was running a set of maxis carnivores. He said it was the best tires ever. He had 5 plugs in one tire and 2 tires had 3 plugs each and 1 tire had one plug in it. I’m running a set of the System 3 XT 300s 33” on my 2019 Honda Talon 1000R with no issues. No flats ever so far ( fingers crossed ) I put them on within 2 weeks of owning the unit. The 400s look a lot more aggressive than the 300s. How do you feel about the deeper lugs on the 400s? Do they ride more ruff?
Yeah the carnivores perform really well in a bunch of different terrain but have durability issues. They especially seem to always be flat out at crossbar. The 400s are the smoothest riding mud tire we’re aware of. The soft compound does great on a bunch of stuff but wouldn’t ever run them out at crossbar since they’re really a mud focused tire that can do a bunch more. We’re having a little meetup ride out at crossbar on July 23rd. Would be awesome to get some shots of the talon if you can make it out! Let us know
@SlewCrew Off-Road thanks man, I'm looking at a set of 33x10x15 with a set of 15x7 wheels with a 4-3 offset. Was wondering what you had for a set up and how you liked those 370's.
Yeah that’s the same thing I’m running. 4+3 offset SB-4 beadlocks. It’s the best all around tire in our opinion it just won’t keep up with a sticky when it’s straight rock. We’ve got some more recent videos where we compare the 370s against some other tires so check those out too
@SlewCrew Off-Road I've watched your videos, that's what prompted me to ask you a few questions. I appreciate you responding. That is the exact wheel I just ordered. Thanks again for your input.
I believe they will fit. Might rub a tiny bit at full lock when compressed. I go with a 4+3 offset with the 64” machines for more stability and better look. We use 15” beadlocks on all the X3s to avoid damaging the inside of the wheel with rocks. The trailing arms have a habit of directing rocks to the inside of the rear wheels.
@@slewcrewoffroad I like to hear the 4+3 offset. I feel like everyone on the forum I belong to hates the 4+3 because of ergonomics of the car. They all sweat 6+1 or 5+2 to keep it near stock and not messing up anything. I don’t know. I’m pushing 205HP to that girl right now, my tires are gone from the asphalt. So with a 4+3 offset with a 15” rim on 32” tires will have minimal rub on trail riding correct? Lol, just making sure before I drop 1800 on wheels and tires.
Yes those are the typical California duners that dominate all of the forums or people driving track cars. For trail riding I’d be surprised if you noticed any difference.
@@RayBlack321 unless you hit a rock and it whips the steering wheel out of your hand. And assuming you dont mind wearing out ball joints and bearings and having to replace your rack. Replies with a video from a company specializing in racing/dunes. I get your point but not applicable to the riding we do. Been running a zero offset beadlock on our RC with 35s, stock ball joints and rack without issue. Primarily just rock crawling. This is a perfect example of my initial comment.
Matt how did you like the 370’S I’m still looking for a good tire but have decided I’m not going to 35’s . They offer these in a 33 and I like the side wall protection they have built in
I love them. Best all around tire in my opinion. Wanting to get some more rides in on them here soon. I think a lot of people really enjoy the 33s especially since they’re so heavy
@@slewcrewoffroad the price difference and weight between these and the Zillas are a big factor as well. They remind me of the carnivores. I have ITP ultracross on my ranger and loved them but they don’t have them in a size larger than 32. These might just be my go to tire
Nice I’m here close in the Houston area as well. Hit us up on Instagram or Facebook and we’ll get together sometime soon. Going to xtreme 1/22 with a good group of people if you wanna join!
Yes we still have them. We keep a couple different setups for different terrain. XT400 is the perfect tire if you primarily mud ride but want to be able to ride on other surfaces without having your teeth rattled
@@slewcrewoffroad yeah I'm looking to get something a bit more aggressive on mud but I also do quit a bit of trail riding so I was debating about having to set ups also
If we had to pick one tire and one tire only to run all of them time it would be the XTR370. All just depends on what you want to focus on and what you’re willing to sacrifice as traction and ride quality goes on different surfaces

That's weird they don't. Pretty common size for the 35" guys.

Need to make them 400s in a 35x9.5x15. We think the wheel was hitting the ledges whenever the tires would compress. No damage though
