They give history about songs, pick (mostly) what they want to play themselves...play a range from Chuck Berry and Johnny Cash to brand new stuff. Blues, 'pop', punk, classic rock...no disco or kids stuff.

Emission is like, the pollution from driving your car. Usually if it's just the time between seasons of a show, in the US, it's called a hiatus (which means= a pause). 😊
So hiatus = a break or a pause between TV seasons in the US. Other countries don't use the same words or have the same "season" schedule for TV shows. I hope this was helpful!
