@Hazel1911 shaggy is actually hidden in a quick scene in this too actually haha I'm curious where everyone else sits with it. Usually people beat me to the jump with reviews in the app. Im rarely the first.
@CriticlessCast Okay, a Shaggy cameo is actually hilarious. Maybe it's not getting reviewed yet because it's on Max? Or people are actually listening to you and not reviewing until it's all out (haha, not likely).
@Hazel1911 haha oh yeah, listening to me is highly unlikely lol but I'm going to keep advising people do it that way while doing the exact opposite myself, though 🤣
If you liked Peacemaker but wanted it to be even more juvenile and cartoonish, then this show is for you! I enjoyed it for what it is and am looking forward to seeing some of these characters in live action.
The animation style and bold lines and popping colors are great and up my alley. However I turned it off before probably the 10 min mark. The dialogue was very bad and immature and I already had a bad taste from Gunn putting himself in the opening credits like that. ..oh you apart of the team bro?? Off-putting. Watching your review confirmed this isn't for me.
@jaredbarnes5124 haha yeah i could easily see this not being your type of thing. I agree, the self insert was a bit odd... the dialog didn't bother me at all, but I tend to be fairly immature lol and like his style of writing most of the time.
I watched 1 minute of the 1st episode and there's white men like texas jealous of white woke women "i was like bro its only been a minute " Do this shit go on or not coz i am really looking forward to it.
While Gunn should've been a big boy by just trashing his previous DC work, which is terrible, in the bin and start fresh, I think It's off to good start thus far and I'm looking forward to more. I could do without all the pointless needle drops, though. I hope is Superman movie isn't full of that. Plus, animating himself into the opening credits comes across as so narcissistic.
Oh man, now I really like both his DC things. I thought both peacemaker and The Suicide Squad were a lot of fun! I have never had an issue with his music "needle drop" stuff but it seems that there is definitely a group that really don't like that sort of thing. I do agree him animating himself into this was really odd and did come across a bit narcissistic. I'm not sure what that was all about.
@CriticlessCast He probably did the animated version of himself as a tribute to Stephen J. Cannell's shows with him and his typewriter, but that was at the end of the program, and it set up the Cannell logo.
@CriticlessCast After the *_Guardians_* movies, Gunn's constant needle drops just became old and tired. It worked with *_Guardians_* because it tied with Peter Quill. Here with his DC work, it's just background noise.
@CriticlessCast Yeah, *_The Suicide Squad_* and *_Peacemaker,_* for me, was just *_Guardians of the Galaxy_* but with an R-rated DC skin, and even more jokey. Like Taika Waititi *_Thor_* jokey. Aside from the needle drops, *_Creature Commandos_* felt different to me, maybe because it's animated.
Im excited to see what Gunn can do with a R rated animated show!
I somehow always forget that he was involved in the Scooby-Doo movie. Glad to hear this seems like a good start (for the most part)!

I had a few issues with the show, but overall I was entertained and I’m looking forward to seeing more.
@Boblovesmovies totally agree man! Fingers crossed its only up from here 🤙🏼

@jparksalpha totally agree, that's exactly where I am. I mean, I love juvenile stuff, so I'm happy😂
You have a Swamp Thing on your leg? It’s probably a leech, may want to get that cut off.
@wrollan 🤣 nah, its next to Batman, so I'm safe haha

@Billy_morgan9 hahaha 1000% I was instantly like oooooh no DC is screwed, but then it stopped, so hopefully he doesn't take that any further.

@Wolverine626 oooooh interesting, thats probably exactly what it was, he just stuck it in there with his characters instead.
