This is fascinating to me. Disney folks are great at marketing. Assuming their core audience is people with small kids having conventional park experiences, this is creating an entirely different kind of visit-a string of visits actually. It’s absolutely genius to bring runners back to the parks to buy tons of stuff and stay in their properties for multiple races. Except for the locals who get cheaper access, everyone is staying in hotels, buying special outfits, etc. This is a big moneymaking idea for Disney. They also attract people enamored with the brand who will buy the extra branded merchandise as opposed to more (?) mature runners who’ll just do random 5Ks wherever they are or at a destination that appeals to them like New York without all the hoopla. So interesting from a business perspective.
I agree it's a brilliant move. The last time I was at the Magic Kingdom was in the late 90s and I was in high school. I thought I was just on the border of being too old for anything Disney. Now no one thinks twice of a 30 year old woman or a bunch of girlfriends having season passes to the Disney land/world. They can afford it (I guess) and the nostalgia is so strong as that generation got the Disney Renaissance of the 90s. Obtaining Marvel and Star Wars didn't hurt.
I just love seeing the person you have become! Fearless!! I have looked up to your for years from embracing the “housewife life” to being absolutely fearless and crushing so many adventures
Both your 5k and 10k official race photos were super cute and flattering! I know what you mean about the unflattering ones. Those race photographers seem to always know how to catch me looking terrible 😂

I just want to say with everything you have gone through, I’m proud to see you carrying on and continuing to travel and do things you love. That is truly inspirational for someone like me. Well done!

I love how happy and enthusiastic you are. I haven’t a clue about running at all but think you are great pursuing what you love. I did 20,000steps in magic kingdom with my kids trying to get on all the rides but didn’t get any medal for it 😢 had a great time all the same. Hope your next two races go well. I did the Dublin City marathon when I was younger(1997) but was able to be part of a walking section that set off two hours before the runners. Did 26.2 miles in 6.5 hours, I hadn’t really trained for it, the most I had done was 8 miles. Boy oh boy was I sorry I hadn’t trained as I couldn’t walk for a week afterwards!! I think my youth got me through it, couldn’t do it now!. Loving all your videos and apart from your beautiful personality, you look amazing. Xxx

And yet, in the midst of it all, I am gaining strength within myself & love for even the smallest moments of joy 😊 Thanks for continuing to share some of your journey!

I think all your pictures, conversations, and Disney dresses are beautiful as you are. At 65 years old I have looked back on a life transformation that happened to me when I was in my 30's. Back then I had lived an unauthentic life that I was unaware of because I was living someone else's life always trying to make it my own and to be happy in it. Once that life surprising the ended I myself had choices how to go forward. Would I choose to jump on someone else's boat and again live someone else's life, or would I choose to get to know me, make choices that would fit me, live an authentic life. Dont get me wrong I am grateful for all periods of my life because it is what I needed at the time, But I am grateful I chose an authentic life. Because whatever you chose is what you will attract to yourself. Thank you for giving those an inspiration if they need to see how its done. I can imagine the joy that your children will have with your medals, because they will know that was the time you were coming back to who you truly are. Also someone as special as you should have a million subscribers, at least this authentic person thinks so. And such a beautiful look on your face. Love and Light

I did my first marathon running the whole thing and then my next marathon had me training through the summer and that's when I started interval training because it was the only way that it was bearable but I fell in love with it and prefer running distance that way now. I am not getting any younger, nor am I winning any races so it makes more sense for me to actually enjoy what I am doing as opposed to being miserable throughout.
I love watching your Run Disney videos! I just did my first one, the enchanted 10k. It was so much fun! I can’t wait to complete an entire race weekend. Congratulations 🎉
