Ahhh. When MTV didn't suck ♥️. And concert prices were cheap and there were actually Bass and Ticketmaster outlets that were brick and mortar where you could wait for 7 hours to get a ticket of your choice. Just a few reasons why the 80s were so awesome ♥️
@@brunoactis1104 Are you saying the 90s weren't as corporate as the 00s? I would say music went extremely commercial or corporate in the mid to late 90s with all the boy bands, girl bands, pop superstars and hip hop/rap. Then it just continued into the 2000s. Once all of the studios started heading toward fully digital recording in the late 90s and no longer recorded onto tape, the music industry dramatically shifted. Even though very hi-tech music (for the time) was being made in the 80s, it still was recorded using analog technology for the most part. Real artistry and ingenuity was still required then. Today there's very little of that, as it's mostly just sampling, VST plugins, and drum machines with very little actual musicianship. When real music is made by let's say the older artists, only the die-hard fans will hear the songs unless those artists self-promote. Most labels these days are only interested in recording everything in the cheapest way possible. Money isn't flowing as much as it was in the 70s and 80s. In fact the music industry is dying at the moment.
