    I ended up solving this puzzle by focusing on those final 7 matches. 1 player played against Bob 3 times during them, the other 4. 10 other matches were played beforehand. Chris HAD to have played the 4 for it to mathematically work, and so the first 10 games were played and won by Chris. Considering game 11 was played against Bob, I simply worked backwards.

    @mstmar 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    i did it differently. since bob played in the last 7 games, he had to have won games 11-16 and the other 2 swapped in and out playing 3 each. so taking those games out, we get that alex played 5 more games, bob played 6 more games and chris played 11 more games. since there's only 11 games left (the first 10 and the 17th) then chris must have played in all of those, and so won in the first at least 9 (answering the first part).
    since chris was playing in the 17th game and was swapping in and out for games 11-16, chris played and lost) in games 15, 13 and 11. chris played in game 11 against bob, so alex must have played game 10, and all even games before it, as chris won the first 10 games. so chris won against alex in game 4

    @LOGICALLY YOUR'S thanks for sharing these types of puzzles. I solved this puzzle with a different approach which I would like to mention. Here it is:
    Since, it was given that Bob played the last 7 games so I considered a bottom up approach by assuming who would have played the last game so, I found that it was not possible for Alex and Bob to play the last game because then the remaining games of Chris will be greater than the total number of games of Alex and Bob together. So, it means Chris and bob played the last game so, that means Chris and bob played the 11th game. now with the remaining 10 games it's obvious that Chris played all 10 games so assuming if bob played the first game we will get the answer because if Alex and Chris would have played the first game then that's not possible mathematically. Your method is perfect as there is no assumption but I just thought that I should share this solution also.

      I highly appreciate your comment bro ! Let me tell you that, I attempted the solution in a very similar way as yours. I started from the last game and plotted the two possibilities, out of which Alex's vs Bob gets ruled out.
      Your approach is perfect.

    Worth mentioning - the only way this is possible is for Chris to have won the first 10 games in a row, then Bob to win the next 6 (or 7?).
    Also of note - the only thing we don't know is who won the last game of Bob vs Chris.

    • @LOGICALLYYOURS
      @LOGICALLYYOURS  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your last point is interesting... can you think of some tricky calculation here.. which could produce the next bit of the questions ... that ... who won the last game. I will also think over it. I would love to make a video on that.

    Chris won the game against alex

    • @rameshkiran1597
      @rameshkiran1597 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tital 17 games.. chris played 14 of those, bob played last 7 means chris and alex played those games alternatively. In those 7 chris can miss only 3.. hence heplayed all exept those 3. As bob played last 7.. his 1st game in those last 7 is 11th. So he played all odd number games before that. So alex played all even number games

    It was easier than I first envisioned..
    Chris won against Alex
    Found it by analysing who was sitting out at each match.. It came out as :
    ABABABABABACACA
    Hence fourth match had to be between C and A and C won cause A was sitting out next game...

    i used wrong method to get right answer😂😂
    i subtracted 7 from 12 got 5
    thought that bob didn't play in 4th round since he played with the winner of 4th round

    This has so many solutions I found a creative solution. First I found the total but with a different way still got the same answer but the creativity I found was that I just subtracted the total game played by one individual then the remaining games must have been played by the remaining individuals I got the answer that 3 games were played between Alex and Bob then that the last 7 consecutive games Bob played, in those games Bob between Alex played 16,14,12 it can't be 11,13,15,17 because then we would get 4 games between Bob and Alex which is not true then I put Chris in the remaining games because there wasn't any other remain individual whom Bob could have played with. Now since 3 games between Alex and Bob were completed. The remaining games were only between Alex and Chris and between Bob and chris. Now I found that if any of the remaining games Chris lost then a game would be played between Alex and Bob while there is no game remaining between Alex and Bob so Chris must have won remaining games. Since the 11 game was between Chris and Bob and in the 10th game Chris won so the 10th game was between Chris and Alex then I just kept swapping Alex and Bob in those games till I reached the 4th game which I got between Alex and Chris.

    Final seven all had Bob. Because Alex had to have all even games, Chris played 11, 13, 15, 17. To get all 14 games, this means Chris had to play in all games 1-10.

    If i solve it , will they select me for that profile?😂
    Jokes apart..
    I did by..
    If last 7 consecutive games bob played, he must be winning against 3with alex 4 with chris (or) 4with alex 3 with chris
    Balance individual games will be
    Case-1
    Alex-5
    Chris-10
    Bob-5
    Case-2
    Alex-4
    Chris-11
    Bob-5
    Chris would played with bob or alex , so the total of bob and alex matches in Case one with him.
    If bob won the eleventh game (the start of last 7 consecutive) alex must be played with chris in tenth game
    Bob in ninth
    Alex in eighth sixth and fourth against chris
    He must be Failed so the bob in next
    Therefore forth is won by Chris against alex
