How do you install these on a Celestron Starsense Dobsonian? The stock collimation screws holes require a hex key to collimate

Hello Hunter! Using a hex key, you would one at a time remove and replace the factory fasteners that are recessed within the screw holes with the collimation knobs. The new thumb screws are much longer and sit above the center hub. A PDF showing the installation process can be found on the Product Attachments page of the Apertura Collimation Knobs. The only difference would be the tool used during the installation, Hex key rather than a screw driver.

Hello again Hunter! We’d like to clarify our previous comment. The Collimation Knobs featured in this video cannot be used on a Celestron StarSense Dobsonian. However, our Apertura Secondary Mirror Collimation Knobs (found here: www.highpointscientific.com/apertura-secondary-mirror-collimation-screws-ck) will work for your telescope.
You can find the installation instructions under the Product Attachments section, titled “Apertura Dobsonian Collimation Knobs User Manual”. We apologize for the misunderstanding!
