I really enjoyed this video. My friend and I did a kayak camping trip on this beautiful river and this has made me want to go again. We're not very experienced hikers so I don't think our journey will be as adventurous as yours! Thanks for sharing Kate.
What a memorable adventure you all had. Love the laughs and seeing you all enjoy the natural beauty. That rain on the hike out would have been so welcome.
Stunning hike! That deep river gorge is a real beauty. When you said "I love a rocky outcrop. That's why I hike" I was nodding along furiously - me too!
Great trip and looked like you had a lot of fun! Lovely part of the world there and I share your reticence about water crossings. Always tricky for me, but it’s good to be cautious in reckon. Thanks for taking us along.
Cool trip and film Kate. A good balance of adventure and fun. The bush on the climb out was especially pretty. I'm with you in being a little bit shit scared of river crossings.
How good was the bush there. Yeah I guess it’s respect hey. Like I’m a good swimmer but with all the gear I feel so vulnerable. Probably why I was pushed outside my comfort zone on a recent hike in a deep gorge with lots and lots of swimming
Looked like an awesome adventure with friends. Thanks for sharing Kate. PS I love your new unit of measurement for rainfall...."a shit tonne" 😆 I wish I could use that in my maths lessons 😂
I feel such a sense of (remote) community watching you and your friends who have the same love for the land as I do. It’s so nice to not feel alone. (If you’re ever over in WA and you can get up to Kalbarri, consider doing the Murchison gorge hike - I’d love to see what you would do with it on film!)
That’s probably the best compliment I could possibly get. I always hope my videos will give people a taste of the experience. So thanks very much. Funny you should mention that area. I might have a work trip over that way. Let me know if you have any advice. Looks like a cracker of a spot.
Wow! What an Adventure! That was a really nice hike and overnight camp. I always enjoy my outdoor adventures with friends, good to have someone to laugh with you when you get bit on the 8um... whoopsy... 😂
Looks like a great trip, I've not hiked that stretch of a river for a while and you've inspired me to want to get back out there! That hill on the way out though is a grind, maybe I'm not so inspired for that part! 😉
@@KateGrarock Hey, love what your doing. Do you think you could ramp up the importance of picking up rubbish and calling your mates out for being grubs in the wild in the first place. Is There a video possibility of who to report rubbish to, or can you burn some rubbish or bury some? Maybe ways to pack out rubbish , extra ziplocks maybe how to pack your consumables so you have less rubbish on trail. Otherwise we might as well go hiking at the waste tip. People messing up the bush will get us all locked out of it with gates and no access signs' Loads of people watch and listen to you. Thank you Ray. Again love what you do.
@@raykinit4701 thanks Ray. Yeah you would think that people visit these places would respect and value nature. It’s a great idea for a vid. Will do some thinking around it. I guess I’m just a bit confused about why the heck it happens. Thanks a lot
Great vid! Wish I could find some adventurous spots in NQ like the ones I see down in NSW & Vic! Ps your friend is onto something - Recipe Tin Eats has the best recipes ever! Mum bought me her recipe book coz I loved her online recipes so much
Thanks mate appreciate it. Happy to chat via DM. I just try to not discuss the exact routes in a public forum as you never know how much or how little experience someone reading this may have. Does that make sense? 😀😀😀

Oh so great to hear. It’s an amazing river. Plenty of spectacular sections that’s for sure. Hope you get back out there.

Looks like another amazing adventure Kate!
Thanks mate was so good. Happy hiking
Stunning hike! That deep river gorge is a real beauty.

Haha nothing better hey. Maybe we should make nerdy hiker T-shirts.
Amazing, thank you for sharing it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching
always great fun watching your adventures, the tree root 21m in was crazy cool ✌🏻
How bloody good was it. Love how nature always amazes me. Cheers
Good times ❤
Absolutely. Thanks.
Thanks for showing this beautiful Australian Landscapes .
Greetings from Germany.🍻
Amazing hi from Australia. Thanks for watching.
Awesome Kate! Looks like a heap of fun, and definitely specky scenery!
Thanks a lot Sam. It was a very special trip.

Thanks a lot Alex. Yeah better to be safe than sorry hey. Happy hiking
‘We’re fanging for a swim”! Hehe 😂
Haha
Wow, that first river crossing looked sketchy. It's a good thing you remembered to take your 6 legged camel along. 😆
Never leave home without it

Love seeing all of the mullen. It grew like mad on the Buffalo River in Arkansas this summer.
Sadly I think it’s a bit of a weed here. But after doing a google it looks like an interesting plant
Nice one Kate ! I love it down there . Reminded me of when I use to take Duke of ed kids down there as their guide
Thanks mate. So cool there was a heap of kids at the top near the start maybe that’s what they were doing. A magnificent area.

Haha totally. Was kinda hard doing a solo hike after this much fun.
Loved the adventure, the uphill not so much. What did you wear on your feet for the river crossing? Was it just lightweight runners?
Thanks a lot. Yeah Altras.
Looks like a great trip, I've not hiked that stretch of a river for a while and you've inspired me to want to get back out there!
That hill on the way out though is a grind, maybe I'm not so inspired for that part! 😉
Haha yeah it’s totally worth it though. The vegetation on the hike out was my favourite.
Thanks Kate, for sharing your adventures. Have you tried Ginger Joe ginger beer, my personal fav. It has a real ginger kick!
Oh cool that sounds delicious I'll look out for them cheers
Well done for collecting the rubbish even though it wasn’t yours 👍
Was so much I wish I could have collected more. There was even a whole bottle of bleach. Heaven knows what that was for.

Thanks a lot mate. Hopefully you can find some goodies up your way. Yes love tin eats I just made breakfast using it. Thanks again and happy hiking
9:32 Don't try this at home, folks! 🤣
Yeah wasn’t in a rush to do it again 😂
Great video as always. Walked in this area many years ago. Did you go down Long Point up Badgerys? Trying to recognise features.

I understand. I'll drop you an email as I have some other location questions.
Can I ask what location this video was taken?
Happy to chat offline. I just wouldn’t want to send the wrong person down there. Cheers
