I'll tell ya what... I bought the game yesterday, started a character and was totally lost. I started watching this video and started a new character just so I can use these vids as a road map. Thank you for taking the time to make these. If anyone is starting out like I am the def need to watch these. AWESOME JOB!! Thanks again and keep up the vids.
Little tweak to your skill line lvling tip. What i do is have 1skill of each class skill line on the bar and 1 from 2 diffrent weapons that i am intrested in for my class, then i wear 2heavy, 2light, 2medium and a 3rd weapon that i have no skill from on the bar :) If you can you want to have increased xp on your armor ofcourse. And once you unlock the ultimate you can level a 4th weapon. Also, make sure you swap out your skills on the bar once they cap out. Because of this it helps to save your gold for skill resets. As you will be doing that quite a few times before you reach 50.
more things to add: make food! equip potions research crafting, sell whites and decon everything else you are not using for research make sure to have plenty of soul gems and lock picks actually loot treasure chests. they give XP, gold and items. equip one of each type of armor and 5 of your main (ex: 5 light, 1 heavy, 1 medium) make one crafting character
Hi Deltia. Thanks for the great information. I've been playing since Beta and I am still learning. I am so happy to be part of the Epic Synergy Guild. The members are so helpful and fun to play with.
I just bought it and I so far (around 2 hours), I think the game is pretty solid. I'm not a fan of MMO's in general (gave up on WoW after 3 hours), but I enjoy this one in first person mode.
One thing that I recently realized was that you want to start looting in Cold Harbor. I explored a heck of a lot more, waiting for my buddy to catch up to me. I found several chests and baskets I hadn't found before. I also found that a few of the weapons sitting next to the skeletons, in the dungeon-y area, are able to be picked up. I walked out with a bunch of armor, a green sword, and 2 staves. I also left Cold Harbor level 4. I couldn't believe it. I didn't grind. I never killed the same thing twice. Also, after killing the big boss, walk all around. The Prophet isn't going anywhere...
I've played MMORPG's before so some of this is pretty basic knowledge but since I haven't played this yet and i'm getting it on Tuesday for PS4 it's very useful basic knowledge so thank you.
Awesome video! i don't have a PC good enough to play ESO on it so I've been waiting patiently for the PS4 release. Your videos are helping me prepare for the game and also helping me pick a class i want to play. Thanks for uploading these and great work!
Oneda Zinn I wouldn't follow this guide if I were you, because first off, you can't loot everything because of Zenimax changing the game. This guide is extremely outdated. Also, this is the best way to level, but it's boring as hell.
Great advice, thanks very much. Newbies should note, of course, that there aren't any more "starting areas" since the patch made the entire world scale to the player, wherever they go.
This guy KNOWS his stuff . Trust me I was lost, weak, and I made bad character choices . Then I found Deltia's Gaming ....Watch more of his videos and learn .
nice run thro of the basics i know that was the point and a lot of people will yell "you noob thats common sence, all of that" but they forget your vid is as much for people new to rpg games as it is new to eso
These have been some great videos considering no one makes videos like these and i hope they add the lore books and skyshards addon or give us a chance to put on addons for ps4
OCB OCB true i hope thats something they work on sense pc wont be getting really any content after 1.6 goes live its kinda dusty from there till launch
My suggestion is don't read books until later. Getting a skill point when you are in the 40's in that skill is more valuable than getting it when you are below 10.
LuminousExposure I disagree. Why would you want to go back thru all of the same areas you were in?? What a waste of time. If you're there, pick up the points, and if you need to re-spec later.
Leo Iezzi Books you read are random, so you can read those same skill books in bookshelves in any zone. Leveling from 1 to 2 takes no effort, from 49-50 takes a ton of XP. Reading that book when you are 49 in a skill means you save a lot of XP required to level.
I'll have to agree to disagree with you. For me personally, 49 to 50 wasn't an issue. I quested, kept moving, and still managed to get thru within a small amount of time. I can see your point if you're wanting to fly thru the last level though, but that's a play style choice I suppose.
Deltia, if you put maps up for different important things like skyshards and mundus stones or that favorite armor set that would be awesome. I love to go treasure hunting.
mine toke 4 hours to get to half way full and then my PS4 turned off I think and it restarted and toke me all night to get back to where it was then toke almost all day to down load
+Brad B absolutely! I really love The elder scrolls online and I Just bought the recent Update for the thief guild. I play almost every day. its a Relax and fun game With tons of Stuff to do.😍😀😻
just bought the game but have been a fan for a while with all the other games offline. Wood elf or monster car. and im sooo tempted to make a warrior like off the trailer.
Tip for gold, steal everything, pickpocket specifically as you can get a item for 30 and 100 gold value. The amount of money you make is insane and easy to pay off any excess bounty, pay it to the fence and keep stolen items, just takes some patience and being careful
You can get a horse pretty quickly , the first one is only 10k ..... After completing the first zone of your faction you can basically have enough for a horse .
Rocky They used to be worth 1g, but then ZOS realized that looting with no consequences every single thing can make u quite rich, so they changed that to prevent it. Now they put the "stealing" which the same thing and far more profitable, but w/e. I had old ingredients from my chat which i left untouched for 1 year, i sold those stacks of ingredients for almost 1k each, thats how it was back then. Oh and 1k back then when max lvl guy was around 30, was quite a lot.
I really can't wait for the PS4 release!!!!!!!!! I still can't decide though between a stealth character, or a destruction sorcerer! Which one is more fun in your opinion, in both PvP and leveling? (I know end game is more valuable, but I often quit games when leveling isnt fun. :P )
Deltia's Gaming Yeah since then I've decided I will try to go with Dunmer DK fire mage. I am thinking about possibly leveling a healer after that because I have never been a healer in an mmo before. Tank doesn't sound too fun for me, but I might try it out.
Last question, and thank you for the replies, I just bought eso after seeing you play. Will I be able to transfer my character to ps4? And can you cross play on the same account like I could lv up on my pc and game
oh well thanks, it sucks to be running from one place to another it takes to much time and earning that quantity of gold to buy a horse will take my entire life lol
I don't know if you're still getting just one gold loot or something but I didn't spend( or at least spent minimal amounts) any gold and saved up and it took me awhile but after a few levels/days I had 10,000 gold and I bought the horse, I bare.y spent any money except for repairs and I sold everything I didn't use. Tip: ALWAYS pick up staves, they sell for around 30 gold each and they're pretty common.
He releases about 2 videos a day in this series man thats alot of time spending on making videos considering edits and talking ect ect coming out with thats next give the man some credit here
ANYBODY, who doesn't attempt to try and loot EVERYTHING in the beginner instance of ESO obviously has never played ANY TES game, ever. But that's ok. First time for everybody. But it's THESE exact details that makes ESO an amazing well done Elder Scrolls themed, MMO. It's a fine line, when you think about it. Zen took a single player RPG, and turned in into an MMO. Those two idea's are practically contradictory. The fact the game is this polished, and is doing this well says a lot.
Hey Deltia thanks for all your hard work!! wondering if you have a build for new characters, one that doesn't rely on crafted set gear and champion points. any help is much appreciated!
Anyone got a rough idea what the matchmaking/grouping system will be like for the console versions of this game? Just want to know how tedious and laborious the game could potentially be. I've been playing eso for the past month and have been enjoying it quite a bit. The environments for each of the factions are all diverse and beautiful, PvP is quite invigorating, and the questing isn't too bad. The only issues I have had so far is that if you stay in one area too long it gets repetitive. But if it's on sale, it is worth it.
I prefer buffing up points on things I like and use rather than wasting a point on something I will rarely use.. I put 15 points on Magika before 1 attribute point elsewhere.. Personal preference, though
+The Blue Board Gaming Except everyone "uses" health lol, if you don't put points into health, you better put health glyphs on your gear, otherwise you will get one-shot in group dungeons and pvp
this is really helpfull - i was wondering what class/race is best for ranged dps pvp - hesitating between sorc and nightblade - iam kinda lost with the 1.6 patch changes and any advice for a newbie will be most welcome
Deltia's Gaming i have been reading on the eso forums that sorcs are getting nerfed - is that true ? - i tried melee class - got owned every time - gets really frustrating when i feel that i cant do anything - iam sure that iam doing things wrong but still - didnt think the learning curve on melee can be so hard

Hey Deltia I'm wondering how the skills and leveling up and reseting skill points works more in depth.. say I'm playing a templar and I'm using a sword and shield and using dawns wrath skills and medium armor and later on towards end i want to use 2 handed weapons with aedric spear and restoring light skills and light armor.. did i screw myself? Or do all the points for each skill tree reset? Can weapon/armor/guild/racial etc skills keep leveling no matter what level you at?
So, if i have a point in each one of the skill lines, BUT cannot use every ability, (im playing on ps4 with only 5 or so hotkeys) will it still level each of them? Or only the ones I currently have active

Loot everything is the number 1 rule for any TES game.
DaKnight94 especially in an mmo
DaKnight94 if you play Skyrim or any main Elder Scrolls Game, that just makes you a hoarder though
this was very helpful. ESO doesn't explain a lot of these things well, so thanks for sharing the info!
more things to add:
make food!
equip potions
research crafting, sell whites and decon everything else you are not using for research
make sure to have plenty of soul gems and lock picks
actually loot treasure chests. they give XP, gold and items.
equip one of each type of armor and 5 of your main (ex: 5 light, 1 heavy, 1 medium)
make one crafting character
nathan bardgett Awesome tips man thanks for adding.

Thank you so much for this vid, I am restarting the game and I want to make sure I do it right. This helped a lot!
Thanks for all your efforts & in depth videos Deltia.
Thanks for one of the best game guides for beginners :)
Oneda Zinn I wouldn't follow this guide if I were you, because first off, you can't loot everything because of Zenimax changing the game. This guide is extremely outdated. Also, this is the best way to level, but it's boring as hell.

These have been some great videos considering no one makes videos like these and i hope they add the lore books and skyshards addon or give us a chance to put on addons for ps4
i see no reason why the eso team cant implement either addons already made by asking the creators or make there own in a menu, but ul have to see =D

I love you videos, bro! You are the best TESO informer on youtube! Please continue to do unique videos. Noone else does videos like these.
Your video was well done and helpful to me as a new player. Thanks!
being new to the game this helped me out so much ty for the great vid keep it up man
My suggestion is don't read books until later. Getting a skill point when you are in the 40's in that skill is more valuable than getting it when you are below 10.

"just go and buy a horse"- great one
I know right? The horses cost a lot of gold.
42k gold for horse
It's actually 10k
Thank you for adding an index in the information section.
Great video - was very helpful for me!
Thank God for u some of these things I didn't know but major one was with the horse I didn't know u could upgrade speed or storage. subscribed 👍
Deltia, if you put maps up for different important things like skyshards and mundus stones or that favorite armor set that would be awesome. I love to go treasure hunting.
Watching a ton of your vids bc the game takes so long to DL.
+Ryan Leonard I know the feels man I'm on Xbox and it's only on 57%
+Ryan Leonard mine actually installed correctly, Thankfully!

+Brad B absolutely! I really love The elder scrolls online and I Just bought the recent Update for the thief guild. I play almost every day. its a Relax and fun game With tons of Stuff to do.😍😀😻

I just love his videos
Like watching your videos Deltia! Keep them up! :-)
I fricken love the little patter of the feet when u soeed it up

Can you make a video for a someone who is newly level 50 and what to do and how to start doing end game content?
Their is very good armor in the ship you start in. Make sure to grab that.
That's stealing and without sneak perks it's literally impossible
Thanks for the vid. Good to know. Been thinking of getting this game, but not sure yet if it's worth the price.
U should've said wat to do if u didn't get the imperial edition for the horse thing for ppl who didn't get it u gave no advice
You can get a horse pretty quickly , the first one is only 10k ..... After completing the first zone of your faction you can basically have enough for a horse .
+OwnageIsIncluded what if you buy a lion instead of a horse??
Britain First then you are one step closer to your destiny
You did great on this subing!
Very helpful, thanks.
what add-on are you using for the Skyshard, Lorebooks, and Destinations?
Thanks for the videos man!
Should you join the mages guild even if you're not a magic type?
Yeah dude having the skill line as an option is always good and once you max it out the ultimate is really strong and good to have
Yes. It's an additional quest line meaning more XP and skill points.
I dont understand 99% of the stuff sell for 0 gold?
I know right! Its so dumb
Rocky They used to be worth 1g, but then ZOS realized that looting with no consequences every single thing can make u quite rich, so they changed that to prevent it.
Now they put the "stealing" which the same thing and far more profitable, but w/e.

Universe3074 I like magicka, but not a Sorc. DK magicka is my favorite play style.
Deltia's Gaming Yeah since then I've decided I will try to go with Dunmer DK fire mage. I am thinking about possibly leveling a healer after that because I have never been a healer in an mmo before. Tank doesn't sound too fun for me, but I might try it out.
Slim shady Deltia baby
i haven't started yet but i'm getting it for PS4
THANKS I HAD NO IDEA I HAD STATS TIL I WATCHED DIS GUIDE
Why is it important to get the lore skill books right away? are they less effective later on?
really good video bud
nice video. thx for the tips. i can only hope they have some kind of equivalient of add-ons on consoles, heh.
you said for your build to spec in stamina and health. why would you go to the mages guild? just for experience?
darius ryan The mage guild level 10 ultimate for some classes is the best DPS even if you're playing stamina. At end game, you'll want the ability.
Deltia's Gaming oh so like you said in previous videos, you should get as many skills as you can because they will be needed in endgame
Yes, you'll need a lot to fully optimize your character.
Last question, and thank you for the replies, I just bought eso after seeing you play. Will I be able to transfer my character to ps4? And can you cross play on the same account like I could lv up on my pc and game
Yes
Nice tutorial for psychopaths
Where to get the Lorebooks, Skyshards, Locations add-on?
i don't own the imperial edition and the horses cost to much gold, is there a way to find a horse questing?
oh well thanks, it sucks to be running from one place to another it takes to much time and earning that quantity of gold to buy a horse will take my entire life lol
Erick De Icaza doesn't the imperial edition come with a mount?
How much is it?
I don't know if you're still getting just one gold loot or something but I didn't spend( or at least spent minimal amounts) any gold and saved up and it took me awhile but after a few levels/days I had 10,000 gold and I bought the horse, I bare.y spent any money except for repairs and I sold everything I didn't use. Tip: ALWAYS pick up staves, they sell for around 30 gold each and they're pretty common.
Yo deltia more videos plz

Hey Deltia thanks for all your hard work!! wondering if you have a build for new characters, one that doesn't rely on crafted set gear and champion points. any help is much appreciated!
THANKS! helps a lot
Cool this will help my friend
Hi! Deltia, is there any point in putting attribute or CP points into health when levelling up a new character if you want to be a vampire?
So it starts out like a survival game? loot the crates?
This is a great video... It helped me alot. Thanks!!
Oh hey I was just watching your stream lol
hey del jst got eso on ps4 gna try ur duel staff sorc bt jst wanted to say thnx for tha tips bro BIG hlp lol cheers bro
So, you're suggesting on forking out the extra $20 on the Imperial edition, just for the horse???
Anyone got a rough idea what the matchmaking/grouping system will be like for the console versions of this game? Just want to know how tedious and laborious the game could potentially be. How easy is it to join groups/guilds/factions with others and then complete challenges/quests/missions together?
Should I get this game for the steam sale later this month. I feel like this would be a pretty good game. The only other mmo I currently play is Daoc, I feel like this game would be like Daoc but with a major graphics upgrade
I've been playing eso for the past month and have been enjoying it quite a bit. The only issues I have had so far is that if you stay in one area too long it gets repetitive. But if it's on sale, it is worth it.
Getting it today ;)
Wonderful
Thank you this help a lot but some of the words you said I really did not understand
Will you be able to do this on the console version as well if so then great video and thanks
I prefer buffing up points on things I like and use rather than wasting a point on something I will rarely use.. I put 15 points on Magika before 1 attribute point elsewhere.. Personal preference, though
+The Blue Board Gaming Except everyone "uses" health lol, if you don't put points into health, you better put health glyphs on your gear, otherwise you will get one-shot in group dungeons and pvp
this is really helpfull - i was wondering what class/race is best for ranged dps pvp - hesitating between sorc and nightblade - iam kinda lost with the 1.6 patch changes
and any advice for a newbie will be most welcome
Unslaad Vaas Nightblade Khajiit best burst hands down. Sorc can bolt away and be annoying sniper if that's your style.
Do I want to spent skills on different weapons as well?
i feel dumb. apparently the game has been updated and some of this info is outdated. you no longer buy food for horse, you just pay the stable master in a menu to train your horse...
but i am stuck. i can't find any inventory increase option from the other vendor. i'm still at max 61 space for personal storage.
i upgraded my bank space, but can't find who upgrades my personal inventory space. that vendor you mentioned didnt have any option to boost it for me.
Can weapon/armor/guild/racial etc skills keep leveling no matter what level you at?
champion level 131 and STILL learning more things! I'm such a noob lmao
Can you buy the lion instead of the horse?
Getting it for x1 tomorrow this helped lol but i still have to deal with the download time ffs
So, if i have a point in each one of the skill lines, BUT cannot use every ability, (im playing on ps4 with only 5 or so hotkeys)
will it still level each of them?
Or only the ones I currently have active
so should i not save the books for when i am higher levels??
nice video, good work.. ;)

The music sounds pretty rad sped up xD
nice video.. really usefull :O
how do you feed the horse?
im lvl 27 and i havent joined in any of the guilds cuz imma nightblade and thief. thug life for life! XD
You're missing out.
MrFlashu2 i think the brotherhood and thieves guild are coming, and u can take refuge in the sewers where u can launder and sell ur items that u have stolen
MrFlashu2 Bethesda just published that game. They do not work on it at all.
