it was actually a really good movie, some people don't understand it and its not for everyone. But if you do understand the concept this movie is great.
kevdawg55 Empathy and emotional investment in things generally considered trashy, vapid, popular and vulgar eg. mindless partying and pop music and spring break culture. In his other films it was marginalized freaks, in this it's 'normal' people raised on pop culture. Millennial types. It's dope.
Agreed. I think it's a fascinating look into the spring break lifestyle, and how the younger generation are stuck in their own little fantasy world, where carrying out all of these vulgar and sexual acts is considered 'cool'. It's actually quite disturbing in a way, how warped and detached these people are from reality. Trapped in a young society where people only care about materialistic things, and vulgar acts of 'freedom'.
Yo thats crazy that the Extras in the movie were really on spring break and were there with these celebs, like can tou just imagine that shit being on spring break and there comes these famous people
This is the only movie that I can think of where literally every single scene is like super artistic.. and they actually pulled it off lmao like they actually *didn't* overdo it. It wasn't too abstract. It was just very well done.
Totally agree. Every clip is stylized yet it’s not in an in your face way. It’s a movie about everything seeming beautiful on the surface so it works well
17:29 Oh Harmony, what a perfect statement, "beauty in surfaces...poetry of surfaces...like candy... themes and emotions to drip down under the surface, and it was the residue of that..."
She's actually said that she endures a lot of anxiety in front of big crowds and the pressures of press tours. I think that more of what she's feeling here is uncomfortableness and that portrays as unhappiness.
I feel like Ashley never really got the credit she deserved for this movie. Selena was only in half the movie, yet her name is always before Ashley's when the cast is listed. Nothing against Selena I love her lol but Ashley was one of the like *main* main characters and it seems like she was always kinda pushed aside.
I love Ashley Benson. I love this whole cast.. but it really feels like Ashley never quite gets the credit she really deserves. In everything she does, not just this. Now that pretty little liars is over, she seems to get more appreciation (she's probably the majority favorite on reddit lol), but at the time she really didn't. I remember one of the meet and greets, after the show had already been on for years, it was probably during the last season or the one just before it.. each cast member had their own little area on stage and there were pictures taken of each from behind them on the stage, meaning you can see the crowds of people past each actor.. there was a huge crowd behind every cast member except Ashley. She was the only one of the main cast who had so few people. I mean there was a decent sized group, but in comparison to the others it was hard not to notice. Everyone was talking about it on Twitter too so its not just in my head lol Point is .. Ashley Benson is a queen and deserves more credit and appreciation.
I started looking up interviews and press sht for this movie bc I was watching it for like the 9th or so time since its come out, and I started wondering if the cast was like friends irl and so far it seems like they are so yay lol its always kind of a shame when actors who have great on-camera chemistry don't like each other irl 😂
maybe ashley just has an rbf... how are y’all coming to the conclusion that she’s jealous of anyone when her face is the same throughout the entire interview lmao
Ashley Benson never got the credit she deserved in this movie. Every time I see anything about this movie, it's like she's treated like a side character. Her name comes up like 6th and sht lmao she was one of the *main* main characters. The credit order should go Franco, Vanessa, Ashley, Rachel, Selena, and so on.. Edit: like was Selena a producer or something?? She was only in half the movie and she's basically the only girl getting any questions. They even asked Selena about the Britney spears song lmao SHE WASN'T EVEN IN THAT SCENE 🤦♀️ like omg are you kidding me? Vanessa and Ashley were the only ones to even make it to the end of the movie lol they should be the main ones getting questions and they're being ignored. This is ridiculous, quite frankly.
why are you this mad? Like it’s not hard to get it, selena has a HUGE audience and this was literally after she got out of disney and everyone was wondering what she’s gonna do or why she did like this movie was a step up from Disney and she was already big and so famous so it makes sense why she got more questions.
@@hhhhh-xp2mn "this" mad? Lol ranting on a random TH-cam video isn't exactly a rampage.. I wasn't "mad" about it, it's just extremely bizarre to see 2 main characters of a movie be completely ignored during a panel and all the attention be on the character who was barely in the movie lmao lots of super famous people take minor roles once in a while and they aren't treated like the head honcho of the movie. No shit she's going to get questions, it's Selena, the issue is more about the others being ignored. Also Vanessa was just getting out of Disney too so.. it was the same thing for both of them. I just felt bad for the other girls, honestly. That's all.
fuck i know it's been 4 years lol...but I came here for this comment, there's alot of shade there I swear, I saw it on another interview...then I came here.
@sherrydespuig4201 I also thought she kinda looked rude at times but if she was frustrated about it I honestly understand. Selena's character literally leaves after the first 30 minutes and still the whole press was about her 🙃 but Selena also looks uncomfortable or at least humble about it

Oh, man this is so sad. These girls answers are like those mindless beauty pageant responses. I think Korine knows this, and perhaps this film was his parody of dumb high school girls and the idiot gangsta wannabes and pre-frat boys. His choice of Gomez and Hudgins is indicative of this theory. Ultimately the film was crap and probably would have worked better as a short film, because it just drones on and on. It's the the jam band equivalent of film. Just drug induced one chord crap that at time by chance can sound cool, but all in all is not anything of value. I think he made a big mistake trying to make a big film with big stars and using crap trendy music. It's sad that the guy who made Gummo and Trash Humpers was reduced to this piece of shit. Not that he is not a great artist, but when you sell out like that, it ruins you from the inside out.

Selena looked SO GOOD here omg
Those of u hating this movie dont watch It simple. And y r u watching a presss conference about it if u hate it??
Because they are trolls who need their hate fix
jasmine Craven to try to understand it because I can't believe how bad it was
i loved this movie!! James look so damn different!! #SpringBreakForeverBitchs!
Really interesting to hear his words on the looping of the film, i couldn't help but notice it!! It really does create a trance.
ashley didnt look happy to be there lol
She seems a little jelly of Selena
She’s shy and doesn’t like talking in front of crowds. She’s the same in every interview/press
She's actually said that she endures a lot of anxiety in front of big crowds and the pressures of press tours. I think that more of what she's feeling here is uncomfortableness and that portrays as unhappiness.
Selena es mi ídola, la amo, y nunca dejare de apoyarla en todo lo que haga.
at least Selena still limited her role not over boundaries (keep up a good job Miss Gomez)
Thank you for having this. It was brilliant to watch I just found this film this year for some reason and I love it so!
16:25 The director explains why the movie is what it is for those people that hated it because they don't understand the depth of it
OMG i just wanted to hear from Ashley or at least one of the other girls for once!!

Awe-inspiring. "Like it was lit with Skittles." Harmony is such a fucking genius.
selena looks amazing, as always, leave a like if you are a selenator 💙

Thomas Gerard nah

One of my favorite movies of all time
that guilty smile of Franco from 19:37 is just priceless .
franco's laugh at 35:30 lol
James has a crush on selena😏😏😏 22:17
ashley looks like she don’t wanna be there lol
still my #1 fav movie

she definitely does have a resting bitch face lol, i used to love pretty little liars and you can see it sometimes in the show and the interviews😂
GUMMO is the best children's movie of all time
Amazing movie!
The body language of the vetting around James is telling… can they get further away?
Nah
Ash and James
I always thought this movie was cringy. kinda brought Vanessa's and selenas actress role down because of their roles in the movie
