You'll go to school for Electrical maintenance get a interview for a Entry-level position then get asked questions about equipment you're not familiar with, and then you don't get the job because of lack of knowledge...companies rarely hire truly Entry-level people and give them a chance to prove themselves.
Very few production employee's. All machines with a few mechanics. The way of the future, take your blue collar job so upper management can stuff there pockets and laugh all the way to the bank will you try to find another job 😂
It’s pays 42$h where I’m from and 10k sign on bonus . Pension … but you gotta work nights and weekends and they can force you on your days off . Pretty much they own you
I was a US army Mechanic for 10 years, took the test and wasn't even selected . For a jr level position, I could more than do this job but why is it so hard to get into this company for every little thing ? Same thing for forklift experienced.. I have 3 years in a forklift , Although sit down and they said no..
Its because you're better off knowimg someone there than knowing "enough" per their entrance exams. They basically want the top 5% but its something they can hold off on until they meet unnecessary standards

all I saw was how the production operations work... nothing about MT"s.
i capitol they showed you avrythibg to mantain i think
I thought that too. Great video about how the plant operates, but MT is more like the fire department of the plant, if the fire was crap breaking.
I, on the other hand, have seen enough . . .
Missed the part where you tell quality manager to beat it! I'm working here.
Craig what the fuck were you thinking with that cut
Didn't see nothing about a mechanic just production and warehouse and operations
"More cheese than Doritos, Cheetos, or Fritos" MF DOOM
I wish frito lay was closer to me. I’d apply for a industrial maintenance mechanic position.
How can I apply to make a single Dorito?
A single super giant Dorito, lets do it!

Same could be said about digital media, so you better not be buying anything digital.....
Engineering is not much different

A-B PLC's and drives are everywhere. All of our equipment uses them exclusively (not a Lays employee, but still maintenance in the food industry).
They pay well

At 60 I loved machining all my working life up till about 12 months ago.
For some reason I've lost all interest...
It's time for retirement
