Oh I love Beyond The Black. Jennifer has a great voice and she's beautiful too, they are a great band. I love this song from their latest self titled album. Reincarnation is another great song from the album, and their ballad from the same album, Wide Awake, is beautiful. Recommendations for older songs are Million Lightyears, Beautiful Lies, and In The Shadows. They've also done an awesome cover of Down With The Sickness by Disturbed. Great reaction Dane... 🤘🤘
Time to do what I do and help fill in some blanks. - Stefan Herkenhoff was the most recent full-time bass player. He left the band in early 2021. Since then, he's been touring as the bass player for Doro in addition to working on his own musical projects. Side note: He's also an EMT. - Since Stefan's departure, BtB has been using a rotating set of bass players. Their most frequent bass player has been Linus Klausenitzer. But, on their current run of summer festival dates, they have been using Korbinian Benedict from the band Ad Infinitum. (I don't know who played bass on their most recent album...though, I really ought to dig in and find out.) - On their tour this past spring (2024), BtB used this song as their opener. It was pretty cool to witness. All four guys on stage had their own drum that they were playing as part of the 'intro'...and Jennifer came up through the middle of the crowd. - If the opening drum beat sounds familiar but you can't quite place it, check out the intro to "Lay Your Hands On Me" by Bon Jovi. Very similar. - And, glad that you're visiting more of their catalog. You'll find that there are very few clunkers among the entirety of their catalog. Some are just better than others. 🙃
