MAJOR KEY: lately what I’ve been doing when I feel rather stuck is make a chord progression, then I strum the chords (alt+s) and then turn the strum knob almost all the way up until it says 1.0 OR 4.0 in the upper left hand corner (it usually say 4.0 but sometimes it’s 1.0), this in turn spreads the chords into a nice melody and you can start playing with the preserve end knob and alternate directions button to get more variation inside the progression
EDIT: also try only highlighting the first half of the progression and strumming it differently than the second half with the alternate direction button or vice versa
Brobeatz the goat cause he actually explains music theory and what he’s doing instead of cooking up a beat and being like “that’s how you make a *insert rapper name* type beat”
Don’t get me wrong those or good for inspiration but this is 100x more helpful
