Thanks Steve for a look at your electic collection of vehicles. What a wonderful walk through. You need for Jay Leno to come visit. I bet you two could spend several days discussing the different merits of collecting cars, trucks and various other modes of transpot. Let us know if you plan on working on the few cars that did not behave...

A drive video for each of these cars would be cool. I would watch that for sure. It would be a huge pain pulling each one out week after week, but you would get to drive each one, cold start it, lubricate everything, burn off moisture. Hell, even repeats and cars you've featured before would be interesting to get your fresh opinion on the drive characteristics, history, personal history with that vehicle, etc. You've done several videos like that, they're always entertaining to me. Even the ones you own multiple copies of. Also, in these videos I've been comparing and contrasting the trim and fittings on some of the related vehicles, like the Sprites and Midgets. Knowing it probably takes more time to process the video than to shoot the video, maybe not so much fun for you as us.

How in heavens name do you decide what to drive each day? I a ‘66 Porsche 912 that got stolen and the thieves blew the engine. Insurance paid for most of a rebuild, and added Delordo carbs. What I wouldn’t give to have it again now that TH-cam guys like yourself provide such amazing repair and maintenance advice.

Steve, I was taught to always bring the engine up to operating temperature from a cold start. Wondering if just running them for a few seconds has a downside. Also, I'm surprised you don't have at least one Ford Cortina in your most impressive collection, or did I just miss it?

    • @ThisWeekWithCars

When I do this without the cameras I do that but it would take a week to film it if I had done that in this case. I usually start them all in sections as you see here and let them run then start shutting them off when I get to another row. It has to be a nice day to have all the doors completely open to pull that off which would mean no cameras as the contrast between the sunlight and the dark interior would not make good video.

Heee….Heeee….Heeee… I espied a few holes in your collection that need to be filled. I see some pre-rubber bumper MGBs on the shelf. You need at least one runner. You need at least two running MGAs, with and without the recessed grille. A twin cam would be a bonus.
