I love your unconventional methods for creating the shoji doors' framework and the structural foundation for the bamboo rails in the circular window. Very nice final product as well! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Andy has been a lot of work, i didn’t think it was going to take as long as it did though..lol you will have to drop round sometime to take a good look, your welcome anytime. Osu
I found some beautiful plans online that I would love to buy one day. I’m not worried about it yet because well I don’t have the land yet. That would make a great home studio.
This has been the best half hour of my day, amazing job. How many cups of coffee went into the making of this? And how many beers awarded after a good day's work? 😂 I hope you get to enjoy this for years to come
Thank you for the nice comment although Iam no ware near the standards of traditional Japanese craftsmen . As for advise, these days there's plenty of youtube tutorials and good tips. As for big projects just break then down into small steps as looking at the whole big task can be overwhelming. Good luck.
Very impressive! Good work. 😃
Well done. Respect.

Beautiful craftsmanship! Any advice for a young single father who just bought his first house? Been acquiring wood working tools over the years.

Osu!
What was the size of the dojo?
Hi, Inside dimensions are 3.5m * 6m front part in front of the doors about 1.5m * 8m
Looks great! What kind of wood did you use for the shoji doors?
Just normal 12mm ply, same wood as all the wall panels
As soon as I saw the joist hangers I thought what an insult to the Dojo.
