LOGLINE
When a group of university students decides to study in a
quiet corner of their campus, they unwittingly uncover a dark
secret on the 8th floor that turns their night into a
harrowing fight for survival.
SYNOPSIS
Group Study opens with four friends-Natalie, Carmen, Claude,
and Chen Hao-gathering at Block G, near Zus Coffee, to work on
an assignment. Claude offers to get drinks, and they settle
into their work. As they continue studying, Chen Hao finishes
his part and decides to use the quieter 8th-floor restroom,
despite Natalie pointing out the nearby one.
After Chen Hao leaves, Claude shares a chilling tale about a
student who committed suicide on the 8th floor and whose ghost
supposedly haunts the area. The friends dismiss the story and
return to their work. As night falls, they realize Chen Hao
hasn’t returned. Concerned, they decide to check on him.
Reaching the 8th floor, they find it eerily dim and
unsettling. Their anxiety mounts when they discover Chen Hao’s
lifeless body and see a shadowy figure in the distance.
Panicked, they flee to Carmen’s car and drive off, a
mysterious figure watching them leave.
Back at their shared apartment, tension fills the air. The
group is in shock, debating whether to call the police. As
Natalie decides to call, the doorbell rings-Carmen had ordered
food earlier. Opening the door, she finds the delivery but,
upon standing, sees the tall male figure from the 8th floor
standing behind her. The screen cuts to black, leaving their
fate unknown.
The story blends elements of friendship, suspense, and
supernatural horror, culminating in a cliffhanger that leaves
the audience questioning the boundaries between reality and
the supernatural.
