Gorgeous pen, Terry! I like the fact that resin is less "busy" than last years ... more appealing to me. Fairly recently, I purchased both the Baobab and Sea Anemone 2.0's with steel nibs ... love em. Enjoy that new pen! Cheers!
That EF writes so juicy and broad haha. I'm shocked, my Fine in Emys Arabian Nights is pretty accurate but I think if I use a very wet ink I'm sure it will be juicier.
@@drawinsscribblins5326 My Arabian Nights Fine writes a bit finer than I expected, based on my previous experience of my Flex Fine. My Flex Fine in my Paraiso is like 2x broader than my Arabian Nights Fine. The Arabian Nights Fine is as I would expect a fine to be though, so that is good!
Private Reserve Sherwood Green is one of the first inks I bought about 8 years ago. I loved the color, but agreed with someone I heard who called it “Smearwood Green” because it always smeared no matter how long it was left to dry. Maybe they have improved the formula now so that it dries better. I do think inks with sheen have more of it the older and more dehydrated the ink gets, which also increases dry time. Thanks for the video! I have never tried a Leonardo, but I am a fan of Italian fountain pens. I have an Omas that always get lots of ink in the cap and on the section. I sent it away to get fixed and it came back with the same problem. I don’t know if it can be fixed.
Hi. Good point about the Sherwood Green. The used bottle is probably dehydrated and it does smear a lot whereas the new bottle feels thinner and dries fast. I had to stop taking my Leonardo Pura to work. It has to be stored upright or the cap gets coated. Since it has a translucent finish, I thought it be best kept upright. They are fantastic pens other than that. Thanks for watching!!
@@drawinsscribblins5326 I wish I could try writing with a Leonardo, but I don’t think I will buy one because I am content with the size of my collection. Like you, I am trying to keep my leaky pen upright to see if that helps. BTW, thank you for subscribing to my channel! I have been enjoying your channel and have subscribed!
my pura grey leaks a bit as well ink tends to gather at the end of the cap just like yours...it bothers me because it's semi translucent...otherwise you wouldn't notice. great pens none the less...i love mine
Hi, DJ. A viewer, Quiney, mentioned that her Leonardos with ebonite feeds leak. Those are the same ones that leak on me. I love mine as well. Thank you!!
Ever since i got the MZG Caraibi & decided to pare down my pen collection, it's the only Leonardo i've ever wanted. Love the PR Sherwood Green! Is a "true" green? Does it lean light? Is the sheen subtle like a halo-ing or more intense without overtaking? I looked it up on inkswatch & mountainofink but would like to know your opinion since your love it so much. May God bless you always!
My new bottle is a medium green that is on the darker side in a medium nib pen. I picked up a free, used bottle at the Baltimore Pen Show that is much darker and dries with a pinkish sheen. I’m thinking the previous owner tinkered with it and I liked what they did. Or maybe it changed over time?? I don’t know much about ink unfortunately. You need to buy more pens. Stop all that selling talk 😃 I need partners in crime.
Are you getting leakage from the Ebonite and the plastic feeds? I appreciate your review. I am waiting for my first Leonardo, a chiaroscuro with a steel nib. I have owned a couple of Delta's but am primarily a Pelikan user. I think that Leonardo makes some really pretty pens. There are never surprises when you get a JoWo nib, they are very firm but write well. I understand that Leonardo are making some of their own nibs, I would love to try one of them.
Hi, Michael. It’s just with the ebonite feeds. I didn’t associate the leakage with the ebonite feeds until a viewer mentioned that they were having the same issue. All of my Leonardo nibs except the one stub have been great. The only disappointment has been that leakage but the pros outweigh that one con. Thank you for watching and commenting. Let me know how you like your new Leonardo when it comes!!
@@drawinsscribblins5326 Thanks for getting back to me. I will let you know what I think about the pen. I am sure I will really like the look, hopefully the nib will not need any tuning, likely not. I will let you know.
Oh wow! That Jonathan Brooks material... I don't have the words.
It’s something. He’s so talented.

Hi, Dave. The 2.0 and the Momento Magico are the only ones not leaking. I look forward to more 2.0 offerings.
That really is a nice pen, and a fine retailer. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Hi! Thank you for watching. I appreciate it.
Very nice, Leonardo momento zero, my next pen.
They are lovely. I will do an in-depth comparison video one day.
Wow what a juicy EF! 😍 Great review.

You bought the F Flex? My EF certainly feels like a nice F.

Writes nicely, but looks fine to me.
Hi, Dash. Yes, it is definitely a fine but I’m ok with it. I just like a mixture of EF and F.
Try the green from J Herbin Chivor. Really nice sheen
Yes. I love Émeraude de Chivor. I will try that next in this pen.
How’s the nib. Soft or stiff
It’s not stiff at all. It has a nice amount of bounce to it.
