0:10 i love how mario is WAY more direcpectful in the original, bro literally got the whole crew laughing at his fuckin face
The toads literally tried ending his life! They didn’t even think about giving him a second chance when he was dangling off that building they just went straight for it!
@@EpicerrWowserI subscribed to your TH-cam channel
the toads and mario were MENACES in the gba version bro
That’s why they changed it- Lol
2:40 Fxxk you Donkey Kong, You get what you Fxxxing Deserve!
Everyone's a lot nicer in the remake! In the original, the toads laugh at DK and stomp his fingers. Now they're concerned when he falls.
In original they actually sadists ☠️
It makes Donkey Kong kidnapping them come across as far more mean spirited, especially when he smiles sadistically this time around. But yeah, Mario and the main crew can't be mean ever with the new mandates
I was thinking the exact same thing, the GBA version looks a lot more Darker than the remake, even Mario acts like a meanie, but still acts honest and nice to DK regardless. Tbf, the GBA version could be what is called a recall to their origins, that is to say, how they acted towards one another, considering that, way before bowser showed up, DK was there first at the arcades, so i believe it's kinda relatable that, in some manner, because of their longtime rivalry, compared to nowadays that both are incredible friends. Also, DK sounds so desperate in the old version when he takes damage, kinda reminds me of the scream that Tom makes when he hurts himself badly in the Tom and Jerry shorts.
@@ulissesleal2002 Thanks to them using Grant Kirkhope's voice (best DK voice next to the cartoon) mixed in with stock animal sounds and other stuff
I tend to see it as this:
The OG is from DK's POV, whereas the new version is from Mario's.
DK's hurt sound now: OOugh
DK's hurt sound then R̸̍̆̌̿̑ͅr̵̻̄ŗ̸͕̹̙͉͋̍̈́͆ǔ̶͚̤̎̈́̓͜͝ṷ̶̝͈́͆̈̈́͋̓ǘ̵̢̻̣̀͒̑͘͠a̴͙̼̝̘̦͒̈́̓͑͌ͅa̸͍̥̔̑́̾͝ă̵̡̢̻̐̐͊͠ģ̷͎̳͎̲̅͜g̸̢̪̯̣͕̜̃h̵̛͉̯͓͂͂̉̓͠

The cutscenes in the original are the funniest thing ever
Get back here you big monkey
True, the remake is also good but the original is very nostalgic
I love how Mario's voice is sarcastically funny in this game. Back then, some of his voice clips work exclusive to certain games, especially this one.
0:33 He's Roaring
We need more games with Mario and Donkey Kong together.
Agreed.
@@BlueJustice2024I subscribed to your TH-cam channel
DK 94 gang?
I wish the remake has Mario laughing with the toads call him big monkie and the toads and dk 2 cry cuz they look better!
we need remakes of the original Donkey King Country series
8:36 was pure nightmare fuel, I can see why they toned it down to 11:38
It was a lot harder to tell what was going on back then.
The original sound felt more impactful like “You just beat this game for REAL this time!”
Buuuuut I didn’t know until now that Donkey Kong was actually being shocked by the robot, so now I’m kinda glad it’s as cartoony as it is in this remake…
Pussies
They removed the “big monkey” part of the cutscene in the remake.
I could think of a few reasons it was probably for the best
0/10 gba better version the new version isnt 50 bucks worth
@@YuudaiGH Well what are your reasons?
@@RainLion10 I could see it being read as a racial slur to some people. Not that I think it is but people are sensitive now a days.
@@YuudaiGHoh ok
(still _kinda_ disappointed many unique lines got removed but I guess it makes sense for this one)
Its a 2000s thing for the whole crew to laugh at the silly one.
But since its not in the remake, DK taking the toads hostages makes about as much sense
6:52
no one gonna talk about that "here we go again!... again!"?
First use of that voice clip was when starting World 2+ on the original
0/10 Mario didn't call DK a big monkey.
It was ok back then but could seem racist if done these days
@@mguymario I'm joking, I know that it would probably be taken as racist.
@@Glitchboi82Which sucks and I just wanna hear Mario say that.
How is it racist he’s LITERALLY a big monkey
@@mguymario why tho, you cant call a big monkey a big monkey now?
I think is so sweet how nice they are in the switch remake but man is it funny how absolutely mean Mario is in the GBA version.
Uh, not JUST Mario... The Toads too.
@@KasdenW1995 those mf went straight for the kill
Netflix: are you still watching?
8:43
Wow, the heroes were MAY meaner in the original, laughing in his face and STOMPING on his fingers at the end of that first phase
Despite me missing when the Toads stomped on DK's hands in the og, Blue Toad carries the remake version with his deadpan stare into the camera and him shuffling back a bit.
I had to do a double take on that. He did just pull a 😐 on us. 😂
12:23 Okay that was beautiful
I miss the breaking glass. And the old version still has its charms in spots
You mean nostalgia.
So basically donkey Kong did robbery, kidnapped toads, and piloted a mech suit all for a toy.
this game has the best plot.
lol 😂
It’s better than the age old “rescue the ungrateful princess who always gets kidnapped” routine.
That BS is older than dirt at this point.
Yeah, he's a silly monkey
😂😂😂
Donkey sounded animalistic in the original when he was in distressed. It actually terrified my six year old self. 😂
I like how the original uses DK’s sound clips from DK64 and Mario’s sound clips from 64 & Sunshine and the new one uses clips from the more recent DK Country games and Mario Odyssey.
8:36 this is actually better sound for jumpscare than Springtrap got...
For real, the true final boss theme did not have to go THIS HARD
That sound like Defeat DK:
1.(Original) 8:43
2.(REMAKE) 11:45
Why can't we have real Mini Mario toys???
They would sell soo well!!!!
YEAH WHY CANT WE HAVE THE TOYS!?!?
I also want a mini Mario
Because if Jakks Pacific made those, EVERYONE would be doing what Donkey Kong did to get one...
because then REAL gorillas would raid the factories and one can only imagine the resulting lawsuits
@KasdenW1995 wait you have a mechanic robot of yourself?
3:03 hey donkey kong are you gay?

funny how donkey kong went full on dr robotnik at the end
I think it's kinda interesting how the final boss seems to lack any and all impact in the Switch version.
The GBA version also felt a bit weak, but the punches and fists smashing onto the ground felt especially weak on the Switch.
They need to hit the ground harder, and make the screen shake a lot more to feel convincing.
I love how the mini Mario’s call Donkey Kong Papa

Original is so much better omg
Nostalgia Maniac I see!

The original has its charm…but the fact they didn’t even bother to animate any of the cutscenes bugged me to no end, there was so much potential.
Which is why I like the newer one much more, they bothered to take that potential to the next level.
@@daboz8753 Bro, that wasn't even possible on the GBA. The fact that they made the cutscenes work with still images is impressive and shows their creativity.
Somehow it has more charm than the remake lol
@@DethraxxI agree

I actually like the slightly angrier take on mario seen in the original
The original True final boss was like the PEAK of my childhood. Hell I won't even lie the music and graphics made the scene feel WAY more climactic in the original than in the remake because the compression somehow made what you could interpret so much more important and lifelike. I still won't lie I'm glad they remade it and seeing Mario do most of his moves in actual 3D now is pretty damn cool. I think I liked how much darker the visuals were in the GBA version rather than the remake too
Also I do miss literally EVERYONE laughing their asses off at DK running out of toys in the original, even if it might've been a bit out of character ;-;
8:36
"Comeback, you big monkey!" wasn't appropriate in the current year????
Not a fan of how they removed most of Mario's old voicelines 😕
Credits in the original game made it all the more sweeter. Music, Charles Talking, nostalgia just hits different. Remakes credits were just generic...
Why did they get rid of the dk logo on the robot
To make it more like a monkey.
Besides, it wasn’t really a DK logo; more like just the letters D K.
To get a nicer logo in the big barrels
@@biondigiacomo7176 Nope, they messed up. The OG machine looks better because it has the initials 'DK' on it.
The animations do look smooth
Don't really like the new version, it's nowhere near as aggressive and intensifying as the old version, the screen doesn't even shake when the mech slams it's hands, and the sound effects don't help, just makes the new mech come off as alot more weak than the original one, and DK doesn't even shout when the mech gets attacked, he just has a minor tantrum and punches the glass (atleast it looks like he punches the glass)
I just hope if they remake Miniland they'll do the final boss some justice.
Neither did I. I also liked how the older version was more aggressive and epic and the game had more of a charm to it. In the remake they seriously nerfed quite a lot when it came to music, cutscene events, and the way the characters talk and are presented. It's just not the same without DK's more ferocious attitude and the upbeat soundtrack of the original, as well as the voicelines varying and actual speaking being used. Now it's like they've changed all that for little reason if any. As someone who's played the original front to back many times over the years, I can say I enjoyed that one better too. The remake just feels off.
Remake’s true final boss needs more… impact. Just kinda moves it’s fists around and lightly taps the ground, having maybe a screen shake or a thud whenever it spawns projectiles would give more of a audible appeal
Nintendo is taking this into a new level right now!
The boss theme should not be as hard as it is in the gba version, lmao, i love it
Conclusion: this remake is adapted for crystal generation
My favorite line 0:00
“ Come back here! You BIG-A Monkey!” 🤣 the way he says it is so funny, he even got the whole squad laughing in the gba version, bro was a menace, he used to go straight for the kill.
I love the animated cutscenes of the new one. Just hate they took away some of the voice clips.
In the future I'm waiting for Mario vs Donkey Kong march of the minis 2030
Why does mario have a toy company?
Well he's gotta get the coins somehow.
10:03 Interesting. I like it 😅
Dang, I dunno why they haven't released this for Donkey Kongs 40th birthday for a celebration, but at least Nintendo has finally given him the spotlight he deserves in a Nintendo Switch game✨️
I mean the original GBA game is turning 20 years old later this year (in May to be exact) so I think they did it in celebration of that.
The moral of the story is: Do not leave the keys to your cages everywhere
Such a shame they didn't remix the fake final boss theme.
come back here you *big monke*
hate when they cut stuff out and change the music.... now gotta keep both games
08:50
The Remake It's-a-The Original But With High Quality
And Looks So Cool
So the moral of the story if I want a sold out figure of like skywalker I should steal from mark hamill until he beats me up and gifts me one
We MUST have the gameboy 94 one
Does anyone not realize that in the beginning cutscene when donkey Kong switches to the second channel on his TV it plays the music the same as the final boss fight music.
You would think as well acquainted Mario and DK are notes you would think DK could just ask him for one.
Charles is back
Nah he’s not rlly back; they just recycled a bunch of his lines. For the newer games that are not remakes and completely new Kevin’s gonna voice him.
Donkey Kong doesn't cry at the end of the remake.
Yeah, hes just frustrated (I guess?)
More importantly, Mario didn’t scold Donkey Kong
I suppose they’re incorporating a bit of that Mario movie-DK energy. Instead of throwing a tantrum, he’s just offended.
No, but he did sob at the end of the true final boss fight in the remake. So basically they swapped his despair and annoyance around in the remake.
Probably for the best. This guy punched the moon out of orbit into the planet just to defeat a Tiki Monster. Making him cry would not be a good look.
Ofc what do i see in the comment section of this video the original is better then the remake comments smh y'all need to stop with that it is your opinion I'll give you that just like the gamers that will prefer the remake over the gameboy version but really stop it just enjoy the game & move on with your life ❤.
It’s not like they’re dedicating their whole life to hating it. They say “yeah this remake sucks” and then move on.
8:55 Mario: 😡😡😡😡 Oh Mama Mia @#$&+/!!
ドンキーをマリオたちが嘲笑うシーンやトドメにキノピオがドンキー踏みつけるシーンカットされてて草
Why did you stretch the GBA footage?
The Opposite Of Crying
now all mario wants is to stop dk from stealing but when dk was falling mario even tried to grab his hand
before, everyone went to dk's face and was like "AHAHAHHAHHHAHHAHHAHHAHAH" then stomped on his fingers so he could fall
The mini Mario’s are like the chao from sonic
Our time is look like Super Mario 3D world! 😊
Mario & the Toads looked more concerned when Donkey Kong fell off in the remake rather than how they were laughing after literally stompinng on Kong as he fells off
I'm Sound this Baby Mario?
Mimi Mario
今のマリオはいいやつだ
The beginning☠️
Welp, DK isn't crying like a little baby anymore :)
6:38 MARIO WHAT
This looks great
hey it’s okay here 12:03
The original cute scene is very bullying situation.. but the new is mario is concern to dk
I find it hilarious seeing Donkey Kong crying in the GBA version.
0:15 bro the toads think they are santa claus
I got to say for the mario vs donkey kong on the switch they really hit the remix
I really don't understand the complains of the new version, I mean those changes are really minor in the cutscenes, at least we have 2 new worlds to compesate that.
The original is better, because the machine has 'DK' printed on it.
I didnt realize this was a remake i thought it was a new game for the first time in forever. Looks like the original is better anyways with those hilarious voice clips
6:03 Naaaa era mejor cuando los toads le pisaban la mano a DK para que se caiga
The way I look at the final boss play Mario vs donkey Kong now this one definitely reminds me of when they fought against Doctor eggman in every Sonic the hedgehog game 7:10 10:04I wonder which one is better one of donkey Kong's machine or one of Dr eggman better be known as Dr robotnik powerful machine known as death egg
Honestly, after that billion dollar movie, I'm sure Mario could have made an exception and given him one.
Nintendo saw that Mario and the toads were jerks 😅
question. where did he get the mech suit?
Donkey Kong built it himself.
Funky Kong seems very experienced with architecture and with how much time DK has spent in K. Rool’s insane, technologically advanced factories, it’s certainly not impossible.
The remake switch is finally out I'm this is a thing now
0:02 why does the skidding sound like freddy fnafbear jumpscare
brainrot and it sounds nothing like it
“Okay, so the first Mini Mario is usually never that bad in any of the levels, so I’ll chase DK and-“
