Hi Ric, I’m in the market for a new smoker after 10 years with my Backwoods G2 chubby finally had enough. Very interested in what airflow you use, along with how you plan to catch the grease. Thanks for doing this, will stay tuned!
I have one of these on the porch of my consession trailer. It takes a little getting used to. I still do 90% of my smoking on my reverse flow trailer smoker because it's so big. But so far this thing has been fun playing with. The coals no matter lump or briquettes get stuck sometimes and you have to unclog. But it does hold temp like a champ.
I have been wanting one of those for a while now. When my gravity feed 980 fails I'm going to get one. I sent you a email about some rub the other day. I have been meaning to call but don't know when is the best time. I'm looking forward to the video on this smoker.
Hey Ric! at first glance, I thought you went storage locker hunting and found an old civil war era safe!! 🤠💰💰😂 all kidding aside...that's one sturdy well made Smoker! Can't wait to see what cooks you'll be doing with it!! Congrats Ric on the new Baby!!!👍🏼✌🏼
Ribs! Which do you like baby back or good ole fashion big country ribs. I'd like to learn how to do a pork belly one day too. She looks great can't wait to see what comes out of it. Safe travels buddy thanks for sharing 👍
Just wondering, how hot can these smokers get to? I had a Masterbuilt for years, but need to replace it, and I loved being able to cook burgers and steaks at 300-400 degrees.
Hello, I personally haven’t cranked mine up yet. I have a friend who regularly cooks chicken at 375. Only deal is it’s all heat and no direct flame. Thanks for watching!
for the price I think it's hard to beat Old Country, years ago I thought about buying this smoker but ended up with the Assassin 32, I'm very happy with my purchase but I spent more, now I believe it was worth it but I'm sure this would have produced great BBQ, it should come with a water tray and an ash pan in my opinion but those are easy fixes. I only use lump charcoal today I like B&B but tomorrow who knows, briquettes create a ton more ash, I go thru 40-60lbs per week so the amount of ash matters to me
That thing is a beast. Can’t wait to see what you make on it and how well it works. Tons of cooking surface area on those racks. Very versatile.
Hey Buddy! I can’t wait to cook on it! Thanks for watching 👊🏼
