    The #1 best lesson I have learned about poker is to just fold when i know I'm beat. He puts her on a straight, knows that he's beat, and then calls anyway. It hurts to fold when you're committed like that but it hurts worse to get stacked.

      straight isn't even a likely hand considering the betting. she would have had to continued (as an overcall btw) with all combinations of a3 or 68 on a 447 rainbow flop. so straight away, a3 is gone, and then 86, to call turn as well, she would have to have two hearts or be a complete moron. with a name like "sia the bot", i'm questioning the moron status. way more likely she has 77 or filled up with 4x.

    • @Rude_i_Wredne
      @Rude_i_Wredne ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, trips with second best kicker isn't necessary the bottom of his betting range. I think you could make the case for playing like this (until the call on the reraise) even with top pair and a decent kicker (A7, K7s), so while going for value with worse 4 or a marginal overpair (88, 99) is on the greedier side, she could do that. She also has natural bluff candidates in a form of 65 and 53s.
      I can see calling, though I'm not sure if for a sizing that big. Against a reraise overbet, he's allowed to fold pretty much the bottom half of his range. Considering how many sets are there (77 x3 ,22 x3 ,55? x3(2?) ,74s x1,54s x2 , 42s? x1, 54o? x6(4?)), a random straight with 86s (4 combos, maybe 2 of which he'd choose in this line as semibluffs - A3 I think would not play this way) and 8 combos of A4, he has 26-31 better hands, so K4o probably doesn't make the cut.

      Not really, 65 and 53s have no real showdown value (DK is unlikely to have anything lower than top pair) and would absolutely call the first two barrels on pot odds alone. She might also turn 66 into a bluff, having a better claim to a 4, based on preflop, being the last caller.
      She also can be technically value betting worse (random suited X4's, maybe even 88 and 99 if she put him on top-pair type of holding).
      While I would probably fold to a sizing that big, I can see calling as well, it's a close one and if DK's playing trash like K4o, he might have enough worse hands in his range to justify calling (against this sizing, K4o needs to be in the top half (or like 45%) of his range for this call to be conditionally correct).

      With what cards does her line up until the shove makes sense that he doesnt beat?
      Specifically pocket 7's, A4s, A3s and 68s if she has a loose definition of suited connectors.
